Presidents don’t get to that level unless they’re approved by the Establishment. Ultimately, they don’t have that much power.

I say that America's belief that we have what everyone yearns for is misleading because yes we could be a beacon of hope and are deeds blessings but...when I landed in Iraq. Blackwater was the security detail for Halliburton and I arrived 6 months after we first landed with troops. They had the audacity to lie to our faces and say it wasn't corporate interests

Makes sense. Happened with Presidents during the end of slavery. Most knew they had to do something about it but they also knew doing something would start a civil war. So they pushed it off until Lincoln

“Inconvenient” in the sense that withdrawing the troops would leave the populations vulnerable to anyone coming in with the biggest gun as the baddest intention.
They couldn’t pull out of Irak right away because there was no unified government when Obama came into office. The democratically elected leader had tribal leaders to negotiate with, some of which were propped up by Russian money, Iranian money, Turkish money.
And that’s just the example of Irak. And maybe the US just shouldn’t have been there, but the political stabilization of Irak, the removal of rampant corruption, meant real international trade could begin.
Which means Iraqis are less poor, more educated, connected to the world.
