Born in Chania Crete my parents and family move to canada when i was 9 years old. That was 60 years ago. The last 20 years i had a idea to return for good. Moving back to my homeland and my birthplace with a goal to put together a sports program where I teach kids how to play Canadian sports like street hockey and American football I know basketball 🏀 was here back from the middle of the 70s but i yet to see kids play football 🏈 or hockey 🏒🥅 without the ice. For 33 years I was a sports photographer for major professional teams here in Montréal Canada and I would go directly to companies to ship the sports equipment for the program. Kalimera Raul and Amalia and thank you for another inspiring message
You’re both level-headed…realistic. Too many vloggers pretend it’s all a holiday. There’s positive stress whenever you’re in another place no matter how much you like it. I imagine that from Romania to Greece, it’s not a massive transition. You both have the right energy and mindset. Siga, siga 😊.
Thank you very much 🙏 😊 💙. These are the regrets of expats that are living here, but we will touch the topics that you mentioned later down the road. Where are you watching us from?
Thank you for watching !🙏 It's good to make the mobe whenever you're ready and prepared. But don't let the years go by if this is what you want to do. Good luck!💙🇬🇷
As far as I can understand you live close by the sea and in Crete. That's the mildest you can get in Greece..And of course it's a good decision if you like this kind of climate. But in the north it's a whole different story. There are places that get snow from November to late march or even April. And the temperatures can drop to -20°C or even more. Of course in mountainous areas even in south Greece it can be cold and snowy.
Thank you for watching and sharing this🙏 The climate here is one of the reasons we chose Crete. We know winters can get cold. Sometimes people just assume there is no winter in Greece 😅 It's good to know it can get quite cold and be prepared for it.
HI, do you have experience with other islands in Greece? I will be visiting Corfu to see if that is a place I could settle down in. I am also going to Cyprus. I lived in Malta for 5 years. I would like to relocate to an island in the Med where the winter is mild. Therefore Crete would probably be sunnier and warmer than Corfu. But I need to go to work to Frankfurt at least 3-4 times a month for a few days so flight connections to FRA is essential. Did you visit other Greek islands or Cyprus before you made the decision to settle down in Crete? Had you been in Crete before?
Hello Pavel. We have been in Crete in 2021 in holidays, and it is the only place in Greece that we visited. Also, we've never been to Cyprus. Have a look at our latest videos, the #rawuneditedunfiltereduncut series, to see how we choose to come to Crete.
informative as always, i have a question tho, correct me if i'm wrong on this. You guys moved here with your own car right? if so, that car was registered (and ensured) in some other country right? So, what happens once the registration runs out, what are the procedures there. Tnx! :)
Thanks for watching! 🙏 Yes, we bought the car in Romania and moved here by car. We will have to register it here, but we can't do that until we own the car for at least 6 months. Meanwhile the car is registered and insured in Romania.
@@Sunpire Thanks! does that rule applies due to both Romania and Greece being in EU, or it's a general rule? I was under the impression one would have to pretty much "import" the car at some point, guess not :).
Thank you so much for watching and for your feedback!🙏 I think the heat made us rush a bit 😂Was it a bit too fast? Just so we know for the next videos.

It can be like that or can be different, depending on the person.
environment can make a massive difference
@@Sunpire Yes, that is a good point.
@@eyeballbilly That is true too.
That is why you must be of a POSITIVE mind 💪🏻
