Wow! Thank you to everyone who is liking, commenting & sharing this TV proof of concept! For those who don’t know, my name is Moïse Morancy, I'm the writer, director and producer of this prequel idea. I also star as Cleon. I am moved by the response of this proof of concept trailer. If you’re like me, someone who appreciates and loves “The Warriors,” you know in 2005, Rockstar created a video game based on the cult classic and gave a backstory to how the gang was formed. Myself and others believe this needs to be remade as a prequel. No one can hold a candle to the originators but I wanted to pay homage and give them their flowers. Because they weren’t good…they were “the best.” I've been conversing with Dorsey Wright, the original Cleon and I’m glad he loved my portrayal of his iconic character! Wouldn’t it be awesome to run it back as a major production? One can only hope, right? Haha! It's on...and we're going. Let's push this!

This movie is based on the origin, which is a side mission with Cleon and Vermin. Cleon and Vermin were once destroyers, but after being double crossed by Virgil, they started the Warriors. One of the hardest and most fun missions in the game. Praying this gets a green light! Best game ever!
The way how frank lucas and the columbo family were mentioned tripped me out. Gave the warriors universe a real life flare. I'm actually saddened to find out that this isnt going to be a series or a movie or anything

This needs to be like a Netflix or Amazon series. Doing it as a movie definitely wouldn't give it enough Justice there's so much story to be a full-fledged series and it would be done better in that format.

The Warriors has SO much room for prequel content. i’d absolutely love to see an Origin story for Cleon & The Warriors (sorta like the game’s flashbacks) imo, Cleon is the most underutilized character in the series and definitely has the most potential.
It truly hurts my heart evertime I watch the movie and see Cleon go out in the first 20 minutes. You could just see what a badass he was in his way too short fight scene.

Actually if this movie is based on the warriors game story then, as of my opinion people nowadays are looking for the same scene of both game and movie.. Example of Cleon and Vermin picking up the bag of drugs from Vergils subordinate LC to its house in the game but in this movie, they picked up the bag of drugs in the trunk of car plus in the game Vergil has a display on his hair while the vergil on this movie doesnt have but the place it on Snow Balls hair..
When the director of this movie replace the scene of vergil telling cleon that he is the boss but in the bath tub and instead of inside the destroyers warehouse shack

I disagree personally, I think only Cleon and Ajax had the resemblance, and only Cleon had the correct attitude/movements, you can tell he's a real actor playing Cleon, he channeled that character well, but then again he was barely in the film, so it's easy to create him an image. The Cowboy was awful, and the others. Cochise looked cool tho.
Will never be the same. Walter Hill was a great director and the original casting was perfection. Biggest problem is trying to recreate the atmoshere and setting of the original, lighting needs to be darker on and cannot see the original soundtrack being beaten. Other gangs such as The Baseball Furies were original for their day, they would be carrying knives or guns these days,just cannot see it working on a modern underground setting either.
You knocked this out of the park, growing up I always wanted a second movie to the original but nothing could follow it. A prequel is perfect and I love that you are following the rockstar story line from the game!! Your casting looks amazing, I mean that literally looks spot on to clean and Rembrandt. Why would you want a 2nd movie to the Iconic original? Rockstar Games story isn't canon, and had multiple flaws, but worked as a fun video game, this doesn't work as a TV show. I hope it turns into nothing.
I am 50. I never got to play the 2005 game. But I like other folk in the comments wanted a prequel to the movie. I always wondered as a backstory how the warriors formed. I absolutely am a huge fan of the original film and would love to see this as a series or full length prequel. I love how this was shot too man good work. God bless this project.

Virgil gave vermin and cleon bs drugs to do a deal wit the Satans mothers the satans mothers obviously found out it was fake then they tried to kill vermin and cleon so when they finally got out of the situation the realized they got set up and so they decided to make their own gang so it was just cleon and vermin until they went to the king of the hill tournament they met swan seen that he had skills and Asked him to join the warriors and Sean wanted cowboy to join too so that’s how they got the first 4 members and the rest joined through time and all had to do different challenges and tasks to prove they were worthy enough and that’s the origin
I loved this!! I honestly wish the fans who created this trailer would create the full movie. This got me so invested! I loved The warriors growing up and playing the video game was an awesome childhood memory for me. This reminded me of the mortal kombat rebirth fan made trailer. Such a good start I just wish someone would finish this race! I would pay to watch this movie.
Very well done, I can dig it! I love how y’all tie in some things from the game such as Cochise and Snow going toe to toe with Big Moe for his hat, and the inclusion of The Destroyers. One thing I kinda don’t get is Cochise and Ajax picking on Rembrandt. When you play the game it starts off with Rembrandt being initiated and being tested to see if he can rumble. After his test, The Destroyers cause trouble on The Warrior’s turf, then Cleon later on sends Rembrandt with Ajax, Cowboy, and Vermin to mark over The Destroyers turf, and they even went as far as to burn over the mural directly at their main hangout spot. In the beginning of that mission Ajax let’s Rembrandt know he’s got his back. Therefore, I don’t think Rembrandt would be disrespected by anyone in the gang (despite Ajax saying f****t a lot) and furthermore in the Jailbreak comic in the first issue, Ajax tells Rembrandt he’s got potential and that he’s gonna be a Warrior which may be a flashback to when Rembrandt first joins. But it’s all good, I can understand y’all aren’t completely going off the way the game tells the story and want to be original with it. I appreciate how y’all go into how minorities were treated around that time in a way the game does not, and its also done in a respectful manner that doesn’t make it lose the vibe of The Warriors, unlike how those crappy Netflix and HBO originals who only virtue signal and add in diversity for the sake of diversity giving it no relevance to the setting and or story of whatever movie they’re showing. I’d love to see the full movie when y’all drop it. One question I do have about this is how are the fight scenes gonna look? I’d love to see Cleon and Cochise getting down with their kung fu moves like they do in the game.
Definitely check out the warriors deleted scenes of the original movie. In the first deleted scene Ajax tells Cleon that Rembrandt will slow them down in front of everyone, so maybe he got it from there🤷🏽♂️ they should have kept that scene. But check it out for sure👍🏽

just watched the original for the first time over the weekend and it really showed that there were alot more subtly to the characters and the scene with the whole gangs. so glad you expanded on those and kinda wish we had a prequel.
This brings chills to me and brings back memories of when l was 12 and now there’s some follow up on the legend of Cleon and the the beginning of how the Hardest Clique in New York formed. No disrespect but this will be hands down my favorite movie and I’m so thankful that someone made this movie. Gotta be All City-The Warriors!! #W4L!! ☠️
This looks like it’s covered a lot of the games prequel missions, even if not all, I’ve got faith in this being amazing. Compared to most modern remakes or modernisation of something that’s classic fails miserably this looks like it’s gonna do so much justice to the original

Yeah years back, Hollywood was suppose to remake this movie where it was going to be based in LA and modern times with Tony Scott directing. Unfortunatly, Tony Scott passed away but fortunatly The Warriors remake was never made because that would have sucked on many levels. The Warriors should always maintain the 1970s era and New York City settings.
If they can remaster “Fresh Prince” they should do it with this! I was a MAJOR FAN of the game (it came out day of my birthday in 2005) and I love how y’all used the background stories and side missions that formed the warriors, those were fantastic and fun to play in the game! You gotta remember it’s not like they have infinite resources to cast whoever they want. They’re not a Hollywood studio they’re a RUclips channel. The Warriors has SO much room for prequel content. i’d absolutely love to see an Origin story for Cleon & The Warriors (sorta like the game’s flashbacks) imo, Cleon is the most underutilized character in the series and definitely has the most potential.
It truly hurts my heart evertime I watch the movie and see Cleon go out in the first 20 minutes. You could just see what a badass he was in his way too short fight scene.

Actually if this movie is based on the warriors game story then, as of my opinion people nowadays are looking for the same scene of both game and movie.. Example of Cleon and Vermin picking up the bag of drugs from Vergils subordinate LC to its house in the game but in this movie, they picked up the bag of drugs in the trunk of car plus in the game Vergil has a display on his hair while the vergil on this movie doesnt have but the place it on Snow Balls hair..
When the director of this movie replace the scene of vergil telling cleon that he is the boss but in the bath tub and instead of inside the destroyers warehouse shack

I disagree personally, I think only Cleon and Ajax had the resemblance, and only Cleon had the correct attitude/movements, you can tell he's a real actor playing Cleon, he channeled that character well, but then again he was barely in the film, so it's easy to create him an image. The Cowboy was awful, and the others. Cochise looked cool tho.

Will never be the same. Walter Hill was a great director and the original casting was perfection. Biggest problem is trying to recreate the atmoshere and setting of the original, lighting needs to be darker on and cannot see the original soundtrack being beaten. Other gangs such as The Baseball Furies were original for their day, they would be carrying knives or guns these days,just cannot see it working on a modern underground setting either.
You knocked this out of the park, growing up I always wanted a second movie to the original but nothing could follow it. A prequel is perfect and I love that you are following the rockstar story line from the game!! Your casting looks amazing, I mean that literally looks spot on to clean and Rembrandt. Why would you want a 2nd movie to the Iconic original? Rockstar Games story isn't canon, and had multiple flaws, but worked as a fun video game, this doesn't work as a TV show.

I am 50. I never got to play the 2005 game. But I like other folk in the comments wanted a prequel to the movie. I always wondered as a backstory how the warriors formed. Virgil gave vermin and cleon bs drugs to do a deal wit the Satans mothers the satans mothers obviously found out it was fake then they tried to kill vermin and cleon so when they finally got out of the situation the realized they got set up and so they decided to make their own gang so it was just cleon and vermin until they went to the king of the hill tournament they met swan seen that he had skills and Asked him to join the warriors and Sean wanted cowboy to join too so that’s how they got the first 4 members and the rest joined through time and all had to do different challenges and tasks to prove they were worthy enough and that’s the origin

I loved The warriors growing up and playing the video game was an awesome childhood memory for me. This reminded me of the mortal kombat rebirth fan made trailer. Very well done, I can dig it! I love how y’all tie in some things from the game such as Cochise and Snow going toe to toe with Big Moe for his hat, and the inclusion of The Destroyers. One thing I kinda don’t get is Cochise and Ajax picking on Rembrandt. When you play the game it starts off with Rembrandt being initiated and being tested to see if he can rumble. After his test, The Destroyers cause trouble on The Warrior’s turf, then Cleon later on sends Rembrandt with Ajax, Cowboy, and Vermin to mark over The Destroyers turf, and they even went as far as to burn over the mural directly at their main hangout spot. In the beginning of that mission Ajax let’s Rembrandt know he’s got his back. Therefore, I don’t think Rembrandt would be disrespected by anyone in the gang (despite Ajax saying f****t a lot) and furthermore in the Jailbreak comic in the first issue, Ajax tells Rembrandt he’s got potential and that he’s gonna be a Warrior which may be a flashback to when Rembrandt first joins. But it’s all good, I can understand y’all aren’t completely going off the way the game tells the story and want to be original with it. I appreciate how y’all go into how minorities were treated around that time in a way the game does not, and its also done in a respectful manner that doesn’t make it lose the vibe of The Warriors, unlike how those crappy Netflix and HBO originals who only virtue signal and add in diversity for the sake of diversity giving it no relevance to the setting and or story of whatever movie they’re showing. I’d love to see the full movie when y’all drop it. One question I do have about this is how are the fight scenes gonna look? I’d love to see Cleon and Cochise getting down with their kung fu moves like they do in the game.
Definitely check out the warriors deleted scenes of the original movie. In the first deleted scene Ajax tells Cleon that Rembrandt will slow them down in front of everyone, so maybe he got it from there🤷🏽♂️ they should have kept that scene. But check it out for sure👍🏽

just watched the original for the first time over the weekend and it really showed that there were alot more subtly to the characters and the scene with the whole gangs. so glad you expanded on those and kinda wish we had a prequel.

Yeah years back, Hollywood was suppose to remake this movie where it was going to be based in LA and modern times with Tony Scott directing. Unfortunatly, Tony Scott passed away but fortunatly The Warriors remake was never made because that would have sucked on many levels. The Warriors should always maintain the 1970s era and New York City settings.

You gotta remember it’s not like they have infinite resources to cast whoever they want. They’re not a Hollywood studio they’re a RUclips channel. This is pure MAGIC,as a fan of the book and original movie production I have often wondered if there would ever be a remake.And the fact that it was in prequel/video game form well all the resources add to a premium ass production.Whether it's big screen or small or t.v. series to big movie deal(and the big screen is what it needs)this will surely be what the true Warrior heads are itching to see.I viewed this trailer last night and was in total awe from the get-go.I said,"YES a REMAKE and they're doin it RIGHT!
