have a 1991 subaru legacy L wagon 2.2 AWD non turbo still have it, it never given me issues not once actually 2 years ago just changed the timing belt at 300,251 miles on the original timing belt no joke knows this as the car was my mothers my father had given me in 2008 and said I better change the timing belt as its the original 8 years later the same belt was still on it the belt still was fine just starting to get weathered so decided to change it just knowing the belt was 24 years old, while getting that done figured the original water pump and all the gaskets seals ect were also original so had them all changed, other then that i have only had rotors brakes struts and regular tune ups done I did run it low on gas in the middle of 88 acres of a mud filed witch had caused dibree sucked up into 2 fuel injectors I mean after all the car was 24 years old at the time so expected to have some junk at the bottom of the gas tank at that point did drop the gas tank and cleaned and drained it and decided to go ahead and throw a new fuel pump in at that time tho it was not needed. they are damn die hard cars and they will go through anything snow mud even on the beech. this car has out lasted every car my mother and father has owned and every car me and my husband has had I have been through 2 new vehicles and 3 used since my parents gave me it always kept it for winter months but always end up reverting back to it due to other cars not lasting no matter how old she looks and outdated look she is here to stay. to show how much power these cars have a stupid part on me desperate when my truck broke down I had ended up loading on and into this car 15 pieces of dry wall on the roof rack inside seats flipped down hanging out the back 22 2x4 lumber 6 5 gallon buckets of joint compound 13 bags of cement and 10 boxes of slate tiles her struts were so compressed there was no bounce left i was afraid to take off thinking here goes nothing and going to kill this car so took off slow it went like nothing drove every stop lite she took off as if there was no weight i was more afraid at this time of the weight above my head rather then anything happening to the cars drivability these cars are honestly something else will see if i can find the video of that to upload
Haha serious? Good on you yea it's a lovely car with the km's its done, will need some work here & there eventually but nothing major it's a great car. Yea I was going to put them on the sides but ended up putting just 1 on the back :)
Yea it's a bit sad really, like you'd think all cars would generally be the same but obviously not! Either way, they're all outbacks and I wouldn't mind any as long as it bears the badge haha and has AWD :)
This is your dream car?? Nice! Most people dream of fast european cars but i would agree that these are dream cars for their awesome reliability, off-road capability and rev happy flat-6.
Matty231 i have an outback right now and used to own a forester so it only makes sense! I love the older outbacks and legacy wagons and the lancaster just looks much more refined.
Hey - no not this one unfortunately. A select few (maybe 1 in 20 that we had imported into NZ had ADA) - was a cool system, my friend found & owned one with ADA! Had crazy modern features for a 20 year old system.
@@thatmatty231guy That's awesome lol, I'm fascinated by this technology that no one seems to acknowledge subaru having developed back in the 90s. If you're ever able to upload a video about a Lancaster with ADA, please do lol. It's a shame Subaru never brought it here to the US
@@railfanatic1416 I know right - same here! Everyone raved about it 5 years ago thinking it was the latest not realising it’s from the 90’s. Essentially one of the pioneers of it all when it came out in 98 :)
Nothing better than coming home to a vid from matty about a car :)
