      RealTruck.com does it leak a lot?

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад +1

      We haven't had any problems with it leaking a lot. No cover on the market is 100% waterproof and this does a great job keeping about 98% of the water out of the bed. If you do get water in its usually along the front bulkhead or tailgate area.

      @@cleanasdirt6832 I am. I had the Honda OEM on a 2018 I owned and it was cumbersome to open it (had to go to each side to open the first panel - all other panels opened after that). With the Bakflip, I can pull a cable from either side to open it. I'm not sure about draining as I don't have holes in my bed for the tubes. I think there are spots but I would have to drill them out. I situated the hoses so I think they will drain. fine. We don't get much rain in AZ so it's not a big deal. It arrived quickly and was pretty easy to install.

    Thanks for all your videos... so many options makes my head spin. I guess it just comes down to which one I like most? They all look like pretty good choices. Leaning towards a roll up just to get that extra bed room when I need it easily.

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад

      The roll ups are going to be the most versatile. If you have questions regarding the covers please give us a shout. You can chat in or call our experts at 877-216-5446.

    so if you put suitcases, valuables and what not in the truck bed using this cover in a rain storm, what's in the bed will remain dry? also, when you close the cover after the tailgate door is closed, if used with a pop and lock kit to lock the tailgate, will the cover stay shut?

  • @mhutto2180

    BAK says do not reuse tie downs as bolts may not be long enough to provide proper strength to hold everything together. Your thoughts? Also, on 2019, says cannot close tailgate unless last panel is open....what interferes?

    Curious. After I installed the rails on my 2021 Ridgeline, I opened the "trunk" where the spare tire is and the trunk lid hits the rails preventing it from opening all of the way. I think it opens enough but just wondering if I did something incorrectly during my install or if this could be new to 2021 or ??? Thanks.

    Thanks for the video I watched it then looked at the instructions and they were more confusing, I'll stick to your video, much more simplified. BTW how much time did you spend on the ridgeline installation?

  • @3DRM18
    @3DRM18 6 лет назад +6

    The Ridgeline in the video had a bed rug. If I don’t have a bed rug, how should I run the drain hose? The Ridgeline does not have a drain plug to run the hose to.

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  6 лет назад

      Hey David, if you don't have factory punch outs in your truck bed you will have to drill a small hole to utilize the drain tube. It's outlined in the instructions and one of our tech experts could also walk you through it.

    Can you fully open the in bed truck lid without hitting the tonneau railings?

    • @doug_EX
      @doug_EX 5 лет назад +1

      Jun Adina nope! But I think it opens like 75%. So I think it’s enough.

  • @Steepledub

    You didn’t use the bulkhead seal in your video. Does that not need to be used on the ridgeline?

    • @loganlawlzoutloud
      @loganlawlzoutloud 6 лет назад +1

      it has the factory "bed liner" so it doesnt need to be used. usually with ANY folding cover its the same way, if there is a drop in bed liner or something similar to the ridgeline and tacoma you dont use the bulkhead seal.

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад

      +Christopher,
      Yes, there are two rail systems that come with the cover to mount on a Ridgeline. You will have the accessory rail system and then a separate rail system to attach the cover to the accessory rails.

    Same question, does it leak and if so, how much? Also, does it interfere with the trunk opening?

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад +2

      We haven't had any problems with it leaking a lot. No cover on the market is 100% waterproof and this does a great job keeping about 98% of the water out of the bed. If you do get water in its usually along the front bulkhead or tailgate area.
      As far as the truck opening any cover put on a Ridgeline will interfere with the trunk fully opening. With a tonneau cover installed you will be able to open the trunk lid roughly 70-80% of the way.

    • @Stack151
      @Stack151 7 лет назад

      Thanks for the response. Let me clarify, do the rails interfere with the opening of the trunk?

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 лет назад

      Yes, the rails of the cover will not allow the trunk to be fully opened. You will only be capable of opening the trunk lid 70-80%.

    • @cdnstache
      @cdnstache 5 лет назад

      RealTruck.com Does that mean I would need to hold up the trunk bed door with one arm while I am acessing the content of the in floor trunk? Or will the trunk floor door stay propped open in the 70% open position? Thanks
