i’m not a beginner anymore but i still like how u guys update your older tutorials (even for beginner tutorials). i still watch them because i feel like your videos hype me up for the winter season.
Hi again, it is so good to renew your basic training videos for the new subscribers. You may also think about kids videos. I am not saying it because my younger daughter wants to try snowboarding but because it will be entire new product and this will bring more subscribers. Preparations for the season are ongoing. New DC judge boots are with me. :-) next step is to buy Union Atlas and hopefully i will be satisfied. Otherwise my wife will satisfy her anger by shooting me in the leg :-)
Funny Kevin mentioned ppl turning to quickly and catching an edge. I wasnt turning enough! Made it difficult as hell to get through narrow places and cat tracks. So i was told by my buddy to really twist my body to get that board where it needed to be. More umph! And worked for me.
Just wanted to say thanks. I watched a couple of your videos and i was actually able to get into some good turns while boarding for my first couple of hours a few days ago.
When I started snowboarding I was taught not to look uphill while doing the toe turn, which you mostly did in the clips :D and it really helped me not to look uphill but to look over my shoulder in the direction I wanted to go Now as a intermediate snowboarder I do look uphill to check if anyone is heading my way but I don't recommend doing this, when you start doing those turns
anotheranonymoususer ] he is demonstrating basic turns, coming to a stop in between each turn. Once beginners can perform these successfully on both heels and toes, they should move onto linked standard turns. Once you are aiming to link your turns and keep some speed going in between turns, looking in the direction of travel across the slope will help your posture and to finish the turn.
Kevin how is Chris with his recovery? Will he be riding with you guys this upcoming season? As always, thanks for the awesome content and positive attitude you bring to the snowboard community. You guys make a huge difference!
Hi Kevin, great video dude! I was just wondering and requesting a future upload. Would you be able to make a video on how to do Intermediate heel and toe turns please👍
Hi Kevin! I do have one question. I am at Cypress right now, trying to practice the toe turn. My husband and I are complete beginners, we are able to stand on our boards and be decent only because of your videos so thanks for that! When I do the toe turn, if I first let it go straight for a second i catch too much speed and that makes the turn super difficult. I have fallen too many times because of that!
good old times!! for me heel was the challenge not sure why, maybe i felt comfortable knowing the forward fall when looking up was easier... but then i found out falling backwards in that position = spending money on those impact shorts 😂
Great videos Kevin, as always very easy to understand and put into practice. I've been watching your videos for a while now and I always learn something new. Keep it up!
For me, it's really hard to use my heel edge. I just can't seem to use it. I'm new to the sport, so it might be a confidence issue, but I'm not sure. Any tips?
THIS is important.. the 'squeegee' (heelside fallen leaf) technique is not a practical method for going down the mountain. Face your fears and face the mountain
These videos really helped me learn these basics, and its great how you'll still put out beginner videos on the same lessons but just newer content
@rappy90 When did you start?
Honestly so hyped bout this season.
Chaos95 me too🔥🔥
Chaos95 same

I already know everything from the first videos, but it's so nice watching these tips again. Thanks for everything Kev.

Nice, very helpful for people who are learning!
Amazing vids helped me so much as a beginner
Could you do a how to fall or psychology of getting used to the speed of snowboarding while turning for the first time
Vishal Mirpuri If you’re struggling with committing to it mentally, just take it to a mellower section of slope.
Vishal Mirpuri awesome
It doesn't hurt. As long as it's just riding and you don't commit to tricks and jumps.
He has falling tutorials, search the channel.

I love it I wish my videos came out looking like this
Honestly I don’t even need to watch most of these videos I’m an experienced snowboarder I just want to watch because I love your videos
same haha

Okay ✅. I need more practice toe sliding! Thx 😊

When I started snowboarding, I felt like heel turn was the hardest.
Thank you! Everyone thinks I'm weird because I'm totally afraid of the heel turns. I just fall there every time

Why is it difficult to come out of a toe turn into a heel turn?
the toe sliding is so difficult, I can heel sliding easily, but I'm stuck for the next move..

Face your fears and face the mountain
Dude I can't do shit on my heel I started out on toe
Wussul
Idk why but for me heel turns were more difficult
