I watched it live. Didn’t see the first plane hit. Only heard about it, turned on the news and saw the second plane hit. I basically watched my family die. I only have my brother left.
I'm with you my brother, I was a freshman in highschool. Amd a kid came in late to class and was like Planes just crashed into the world trade center. We didn't have TV's so we left and went into another room to watch it.
Tragic day for the United States. I was born post 9/11 though. But towards the end of this video, you spoke with wise words and truth. Props to you, man.
My dad was in college at Franklin Peirce University in New Hampshire at the time. I wasnt alive yet, but my dad says he remembers classes being canceled, and they all had to shelter in place.
I was 5 years old on 09-11-01, and I don't really remember what happened at school that day. I think I might have heard that some planes hit a couple of buildings. The only thing I remember from that day was watching World Trade 7 collapse.
I was on my way to Ronald Reagan international airport and saw the plane hit the pentagon from my window. It was insane, it was flying at a weird angle and had smoke pouring out of the engines
I don't personally remember much about where i was on 9/11 back then as i would've just turned 3 years old a little over a week before that. I remember watching tributes etc about it in school or on the news during following years though :(
I was in First Grade Living in Georgia, we didn't know much what was going on. Teachers, faculty, and administration knew, but they didn't want to cause any panic, and we continued on much of the day. My mom was in the school, had the radio on, don't know what radio station it was, I think it was 99.9FM (which used to be the old Country station) or 106.3FM, and that's how she knew My dad worked at the military base with the approach lights at the South end of the runway, had the radio on in his truck. Once 9:03am happened (same time United Airlines 175 hit the South Tower), the U.S. Air Force started to be on high alert. Security Forces came and told civilian contractors to leave the area immediately, because they knew what was going on and they need to get their F-15s airborne right away. As a student body, we all pretty much knew when we got off the bus and saw images of smoke emitting from the South end of Manhattan on TV
I was 3 years old. I was watching Nick Jr on TV then my mom switched channels and saw the news. I probably saw it live on TV i just dont remember obviously
Well i wasn't born during that time but ill tell my parents story well my mom and dad was sleeping my uncle came in the house and wake up my mom & dad they have no idea what going on and they look at the news seeing tower 1 was on fire my mom didnt know what going on till the second plane hit my mom and dad look and they saw new york was under attack and they don't know what going on so they watch the new till both towers fall my mom pray and my have a look on his face that can tell about fear like he never experienced that type of feeling before

It’s unfortunate that our country is more separated than the country was together (if that makes any sense)

Yeah half staff is to show respect to the victims and the first responders who lost their lives that day
My dad has a similar story. He thought it was a movie and he was very confused... Until he realized it wasn't a movie
