    Very clear explaining! Minor clarification, MD and DM are degree courses in India while residency n fellowship in the US are not degree courses, the only degree you get in the US is ‘MD’ after the med school. Degree courses like MD and DM essentially require completing a thesis which is not required for residency n fellowship.

    After a long journey of more than 25-40 years of experience, pathologists keep on learning the subject.Teaching is an art. It is shocking that some medicos with poor academic record are running RUclips channels and misguiding second year students. My purpose is not to hurt their feelings. First they must learn ABCD of pathology than advise.

    You also need around 2-4 months of work experience (internship, externship, observerships) in US hospitals and get atleast two letters of recommendations from US doctors to apply for residency.
    Also the cost for applying for these observerships (around 2k each), plus the cost for applying to residency programs, will bring total expenses to around 15-20k $.

      Depends on you, mostly mbbs from do it after the 3rd year, depends on your prepartion, as you get only one chance or your scores are valid for 6 to 7 years either you score high or you fail to reappear for the exam, but that will be reflected on your CV when you apply for the hospitals, considering that you pass all the steps and have done clinical rotations from the USA And published research papers. Your welcome

    Hey! I have a question: I'm a not yet a US citizen, so I can't enter pre-med in the US since I have to pay the international student fees and I can't write the MCAT, so I'm preparing for NEET and planning to complete MBBS in India. When I take the USMLE and come back to the US, I'll be a citizen by then, so I don't have to go through the H1B or J1 visa processes right? since I'm a US-IMG or a US citizen outside US MD graduate?

      @@Cgtam7 A foreign residency is extremely fruitful. It opens people up to people on a global level. Medicine is a very difficult discipline, and people wish to be paid on par with their hard work. However, most doctors return to India after their foreign residency. That isn't bad. Most Neet aspirants in india start shaking at the first sound of research, research is considered taboo by most neet aspirants, whereas some kind of research is considered usefull in the US. I have talked to a person who has worked with Nobel laureates and is in the nobel prize committee, he told me straight that in india the prime reason why our healthcare system is lagging centuries behind other countries is because there is no research happening in India. Indian students are being converted into information storing machines and not scientific thinkers. Foreign students take up different subjects to challenge themselves whereas Indian neet aspirants argue over the importance of studying physics.

  • @thegamerdoc1
    @thegamerdoc1 3 года назад +1

    After 12th you do MBBS after clearing NEET UG. Post MBBS you dont just get MD. You have to clear NEET PG examination post MBBS to get that designation. So like I have completed my MBBS and am a licensed doctor. Right now I am prearing for NEET PG. So right now I am Dr. Chirag Parashar MBBS. And if i clear NEET PG this year, then its another 3 years to do residency.. so in 1st year of MD i will be senior resident SR 1.. in second year.. SR 2.. and in third year.. SR 3. After i have cracked the final year i.e. 3rd year of MD.. then I will be called DR. Chirag Parashar MBBS, MD (Subject you did your MD in).
    So MD is specialization. Post MD we have DM thats super specialization .
    MD is not an Indian term for students coming after 12th 🤣
