- Michael Ironside definetly packs a PUNCH!! He sure knocked us out with how he got the role, what brought him back for the fifth installment and why Sam just can't quit blowing people up! Check this out and more at www.consolecreatures.com
I seriously miss Michael Ironside in the Splinter Cell games. He IS Sam Fisher. I hope they bring him back if they ever decide to do another game.
+david ordonez I am sure he'll come back!
+The Social Gamer I hope so lol
I think they will bring him back since Blacklist didn't do too well.
He surely did with GW Breakpoint
It's Ironside who gave Sam Fisher the soul and character. Only thanks to him he is a badass and so well recognizable and unforgettable, unlike Metal Gear - nobody talks about it, only about Fisher.
That Punch! lol
Beast actor ! I am a fan of him since Scanners !
You'll always be the one and only perfect voice for Sam Fisher, Michael Ironside.
Song in the beginning, plz...
this is the first time i got in love with a dudes voice and i am not gay :D
LOVE this series!
1) Start the Vid
2) Close your eyes.
3) Enjoy
i miss lambert
Don't please 🙏 he fucked up Sam and his girl life.
the perfect voice for Sam fisher I don't think anyone else could have pulled it off
I don't think I'd be opposed to splinter cell having a new spy instead of Sam. If Michael ironside isn't voicing it, then it shouldn't be sam. Just make a new character that we get to start to love. It's doesn't even have to be called splinter cell.
I like how honest he is about it. It's refreshing to hear an actor not to say "oh I loved the game ever since I first heard about it, I love it" etc.
Obviously people will feel disappointing Ironside won't be voicing in the 6th Splinter Cell. For the people that have been with the games from the very beginning it's like you know Sam Fisher the character by his voice, it's the voice of Sam Fisher, makes him who he is in a way. The new voice changes it all so it's really weird to listen to.
did not know mike ironside played sam fisher! loved him in starship troopers and total recall
not that he really needs money or fame but its a fairly easy job, he gets paid well for it, he can do it within a week or two and he gets great recognition for doing it especially from the younger generation who didnt watch his older movies like total recall, starship troopers and V the tv show, he has no reason to stop and i hope he continues it for another 10 years splinter cell is a good franchise AND people would still buy it even if sam had a new voice i think
"im a pacifist" *punch*
This man is Sam fisher, and now you are using someone else for splinter cell 6?! wtf!?
I'll always miss you michael
I get sucked back in! 1:10 LOL
Funny. Our host Rainbow was very close to getting one of the main parts.
Happy birthday at michael from italian boy live in rome
no one is being hostile towards Eric Johnson, everyone just hates ubisoft and the director that took the best thing out of this game. i have grown attached to this series and a lot of sentimental value has been placed with ironside. it makes me unbelievably frustrated.
Michael Ironside should voice a character in a golf game.
Michael Ironside is the manliest actor ever
@TopRomanSoup IT is by Johnny Cash, it's called "God's gonna cut you down"
All this bullshit about Blacklist requiring a new actor for both motion capture and voice acting is just silly. I've seen plenty games in the past use this method and it's only really worked perfectly in the Uncharted series. Everything else, including what I have seen of Blacklist, looks like any other game using separate voice and motion capture.
Sure Blacklist looks better than Conviction but that isn't saying much. It's like a simplified action version of Chaos Theory at best.
You hear me!! I'm bullet proof. Sam: shouts in leg. President: Ah fuck!
I agree, just want to add that The Last of Us is a damn fine example of mocap and voice action stringed together in a very effective way, even tho I think TLoU is overrated.
I first knew this guy when he played Richter from Total Recall lol
@lleo11 woopsy daisy!
i meant the machinist, great film!
Honestly people compare my voice to Michael Ironside's lol they have since i was 16-17,especially on xbox live.its amazing though cause his voice is an honor to be compared to.
if i could talk like him i would do it all the time
@Brady2k10, nice. Let's hope Michael doesn't quit too soon.I like his voice. He's the perfect Sam Fisher. I can't imagine Fisher being voiced by any other actor. Hell, the whole cast of Splinter Cell is perfect. Apart from Lambert's voice actor and Grim's voice actress in Pandora Tomorrow cause I didn't like voice change, the whole original cast is perfect.
close your eyes and u hear sam
MICHAEL IRONSIDE IS SAM FISHER!!!!!! Don't ever forget that!!!!!! If ubisoft does another Splinter Cell, and the story is Sam Fisher, DO NOT GET NO ONE ELSE TO DO HIS VOICE!!!!!! Except that man!!!!!! If Michael Ironside turns it down, THAT WILL BE THE END OF SPLINTER CELL!!!!
@MagnuMxAvengeR No shit sherlock, i meant the title of THE SONG, not the title of the artist, but thanks anyway man
I haven't played Blacklist yet, but from what I've seen, it would have made a lot more sense if they made it a prequel.
they've dropped david bateson from the hitman series and people are still gonna buy it and play it, i wouldnt want ironside to leave anytime soon but if he does it wont stop me from buying future splinter cells
@Obsiviction i dont think michael will quit, not yet anyway, ubisoft pay him well and it is an easy job when you compare it with acting in films tv etc, you know all he has to do is get into the character and do his lines which can be done in a short period of time with a big cheque afterwards and ironside knows hes liked by gamers, he once got asked on a plane by some guy "your sam fisher" and ironside paused and said "yeah i guess i am" hes making alot of money and fame from SC
the punch to the face was hellerious. :)
Looks to me like he could have done the new one easy
@jimbobhk2009 thx for lettin me kno id like to see a decent movie with him in it :)
They got a new fucking actor....
@Gencturk92 i wouldnt know never played those games, i like the actor who plays him though billy murray liked him as johnny allen in eastenders
@eHanHz His voice isn't too far off also (If Voice-over isn't an option.)
I'm basically a pacifist. DAAAHH
LOL @ Ironside he didn't want to play a "terrible guy that rips people's throats out" when 90% of his movie roles are evil antagonists.
imanmjfanforever You are right exactly. I felt that exact way when playing Blacklist as I've become so used to Micheal Ironside's voice. He is synonomous with Sam Fisher's character. Although I was fine while playing the gameplay, the moments during cut scenes where they show Sam's new ugly face and his fake voice took me out of the game completely, and made me feel like "who the hell is this guy I'm playing as?"
It's the same as if Steve Downes wouldn't voice Master Chief in the next Halo game. He has done the voice acting for all the previous games, so you identify the character by his voice.
- For all that Ubisoft said and showed, I believe that Splinter cell 6 is going to be a lot better game than Conviction was.
- But I for one, am never going to forgive them for messing up with Sam's voice. No matter what awesome recording technology they use.
i like to hear what he thinks of call of duty black ops
why isn't he the voice of sam fisher in Splinter Cell: Blacklist?
am i the only one that went wtf when at 1:35? XD
Why so many people bitching about the new voice actor i think eric johnson does a great job... by the way i enjoyed both conviction and blacklist both are awesome games...
He reminds me of Angry Grandpa!
O_O OMG All I hear is Darkseid
What the hell!?!? ls there ever going to be a new Splinter Cell game for PS3 or what?
Bob's your uncle.
Why would he quit?ubisoft pays ALOT of money to him,the plot is thin, easy work...and he's an actor....my fear is of David Haytern who doesn't rly has a motive to keep doing VO....he's a week-paid screenwriter, does not act in 20 years except for MGS and in Twin Snakes he gave up half of his paycheck to pay the original MGS voice cast.....just saying I'm not comparing the two franchises, and I love them both, and do hope Michael Ironside keep up with the brillant work
this guy is like sean connery but with a better voice :P
l understand that, but why they had the Splinter Cell games on PS2 then?
@l4dlover92 , THAT DONT FLY WITH ME SPACEMUFFIN!
@jimbobhk2009 accordin to imdb neither of em are in it
no dude splinter cell is for microsoft and metal gear is for sony
anyone knows the title of the song in the opening?
@MagnuMxAvengeR oh shit, sorry commrade, i thought you said god is gonna cut ME down for not knowing the title, sorry again, lol @_@
@DuketheAssassin
It's just entertainment.
because james bond sucks, i mean, Sam has far greater personality for the audience to follow, they get to symphatize the character better than Bond, so with the new voice actor they will feel something that they have been following changed
@DuketheAssassin Not Ironic. Ironside.
he looks like sam also, just bigger and bald
What is the song at the beginning
MegamegamikeG1 Johny Cash- God's gonna cut you down
yeah but is like metal gear had games on Xbox but the preference is splinter cell looks more cool on xbox,ps2 looks don't that good, but metal gear look more cool on ps2 on xbox don't look that good, then Splinter cell conviction exclusive on microsoft consoles Xbox and PC,Metal gear solid 4 exclusive on Sony Console
lol, he punches the black guy
l know what you're saying it's a war between Microsoft vs Sony or like who's better between a PC and a Mac computer. LOL...
not really
@lleo11 ain't no thang
Why be mad about someone else voicing Sam? Look how many people have played James Bond
Michael Ironside is a bad#%& actor.
lol remember him in Top Gun as Jester? lol keep punching him again,
