what a sweet gift idea for those wonderful cooks who keep me out of the kitchen and in my sewing room. Love this as a weekend project. just get those recs cut and mark then go and sew sew sew. Thank you. BTW I just found your channel and subscribed a few days ago, while looking for a prairie point binding. You do a great job of explaining the steps. One other thing I just made a portable ironing surface, now to find a nice small iron as you and other teacher videos are using.

DJ Richards Design's most popular pattern, Folded Circle Centerpiece, LOOKS quilted but is actually made of many layers of fabric. The many layers make it a FANTASTIC choice for hot pads and table centerpieces. Also, you can choose coordinating fabric for an organized look or go scrappy!

Save yourself multiple folds by folding and ironing before cutting rectangles. Fold one long strip and iron then cut.

Have you made a full size quilt with these folded stars? I can't seem to find one on RUclips tutorials.

You're very welcome, Linda! Unfortunately, Dritz's Mighty Travel Steam Iron has been discontinued by the manufacturer. However, we've found a replacement in Kandi's Handi-Iron!

I guess I like this...but looks like it would take a LONG time to finish. Good for someone that has a lot of time on their hands. I don't think I have enough patience for this project. Very good video explanation of technique.

Beautiful piece and totally love the idea. One suggestion though, if your camera was positioned so that it looked down more on the piece you are working on from above, it would be easier for see some of what you are showing. Being a seasoned quilter, I easily can follow what you are doing, but for those that might be new, it would definitely make it easier to see the lines that you are following.

Does anyone know where one can get this pattern anymore? I've done a search, but come up empty.

You must've gotten one when it was on sale, abuelitap65! Good find!! Some retailers may still have some inventory left but Dritz, unfortunately, isn't making them anymore. As of this moment, the best online deal I can find is with Amazon for $37.68.

If making this to use as a hotpad, one can also make a Flying Goose piece - the fabric will be doubled, hence giving it more layers for heat use.
