  • The cities of Speyer, Worms and Mainz are considered the cradle of Ashkenazi Jewry. They became known as the ‘SchUM cities,’ an association founded by the Jewish local communities in the Middle Ages. Jewish life influenced these three cities on the Rhine for more than 900 years. Even today, there are traces from that era. We introduce you to the new UNESCO World Heritage Sites:
