    Hyped for this one!
I've never met Phil. Michael is awesome! Let's get into it! Opening framing is awesome!
The plastic wrapped pallets with the Krix logo is awesome!
So - very early into the video. But I'm already seeing a lot of craftsmanship going into these speakers. It seems that Krix preps the wood/enclosures per order. Pretty slick...
Wait...running Tony? These b-roll shots are awesome! Incoming new GIF...
Phil coming in clutch again with explanations
Oh man...happy Tony in the next shot with all of the THIC BOI Krix...I think these are commercial cinema speakers? I'll keep watching...
Jodie is already awesome... her tattoos! Her attention to detail for no "buzzes or rattles". This is very important in the process. Ask my wife - buzzes or rattles DRIVE ME BONKERS!
Jodie on the fold of the cabinet! It is SO akward having a camera film you doing anything. Jodie is my new hero!
    LX-7 coming up!
Ryan on the final assembly. Adding the made in 'Straya sticker and Krix sticker. Love it!
Phil with the neck tattoo is awesome, but he has room to add a Krix tattoo...just saying...
Woah! The serial code and testing is awesome how they track all of the data.
More b-roll Tony walking around. He looks so happy seeing how all of it comes together.
Aiden = Thor. Yep - made it look easy fitting and cutting the speaker cloth to the grille.
Matte = Matt (me) = "shows everything" = Krix is more awesome now due to their attention to detail
Side note - love that the Krix staff can wear shorts and be comfy in their workplace. Maybe that's common in AUS?
    Ending the video
    "Bye for now"
Mate - what an epic video! I can tell that you had so much fun learning, filming, and absorbing on this trip. Thanks for letting us join you on this journey 👊👊👊👊👊👊

Thanks Tony. I've owned Krix for almost 20 years. So good to see the process. And still made in Australia.

2 things, in order if importance:
1 - The transition of Tony sprinting around the factory like an excited kid had me absolutely cackling.
2 - The efficiency and inventiveness of the factory is absolutely wild. There's an obvious focus on making things efficient, simple and fast. The movable work bench that sits on top of the tubs of components is a great example.
Stellar video Tony. I consider myself a blooming Krix nerd and this was so damn cool to see!

Haha! Yes, it was something funny we added in - so much more footage but we chopped it down to keep it flowing better. Thanks for watching.

I have a bit of a Krix story to tell. I was doing a gig at the Thebarton theatre when this gentleman walks up to the console to critique the sound. We start talking audio like two geeks in a hardware shop. It turns out he's the chief designer for Krix! I'd just move to Australia and the name was new to me then. He invited me over to the factory and gave me the whole dang tour. And for the piece de resistance, they have a cinema 5.1 setup in their listening area on which he played the Dark Side of the Moon SACD! Great guys! Great product!!

Awesome tour. I’ve held on to my B&W speakers since 1980. Unfortunately, the drivers are all shot. I can only find one set of used bass drivers. No telling if they’ll work or not. So I’m afraid it’s time to try and give away the cabinets at this point. No takers so far. For pick up only in the U.S. since they’re so heavy.

I meant are all the components made in Australia
You can import from overseas and still say Australian made

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  7 месяцев назад

I'm sure some components are made overseas, like most things, you may need to import certain things to keep production going, but as you can see, from a piece of laminated MDF (made in Australia) to the CNC machining, design and engineering and construction, including the crossovers are all made here, and assembled here - you literally see the process in the video... I'm trying to understand the intention behind your questions... because it's like you're saying unless 100% of every molecule is from here it's not made in Australia? Otherwise why go to the trouble of posting the question...?

Rather than using that packing tape I wonder if they could use far less tape and use gaffer tape as that would leave no real residue for them.

So how much of the product is made in Australia

    • @BuildMontage

I’m not I was just curious
So where do the drivers come from

    • @BuildMontage

Of that I’m not sure! Maybe send them a message if it’s important for you to know : krix.com.au :)

    • @krixdotcom
      @krixdotcom 7 месяцев назад

@jasonhotzel942 Hi Jason, the drivers are engineered in house, then manufactured to our spec by some of the leading driver manufacturer's around the world. The Australian Made logo has specific criteria that must be met including materials, labour etc, which we must comply with before being able to put the logo onto the product.

A pity they have never made one hi-end speaker. It's either a high quality disco speaker for commercial theater apps or cheap home theater speakers for the masses. Too hard for them I guess.

Thank you so much for making this video. During the lockdown (another alleged conspiracy created by Trudeau's ties to Communist China.....hahaha, kidding), my neighbour went on a rant about the 15-min city conspiracy. I had no idea what he was on about. That is, until I realized he was referring to this very idea. The fact that people think this is mind blowing. I couldn't believe it was real life. While your subscribers should get how this works, there will always be these folks that choose to keep their heads in the sand.
    Cheers
