    Looks awesome. If/when I get a projector setup I'm definitely doing acoustically transparent screen as it just looks so clean having everything behind and getting a properly placed center channel where voices come out of the actor instead of below them.

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  3 года назад

      Yes, this setup will work great for that. I have "watched" (without a screen) a few movies now and the dialogue is on point... plus these speakers sound fantastic for movies... the LCR woofers are 10" and that waveguide for the tweeter is insanely good. Dialogue feels so realistic..

      Thanks Jase! And yes, the SANUS ecosystem is fantastic for that. I have a link from Amazon but I'm not sure if you can buy it from these.. I'll see if I can find some local sources.. The multivolt adaptor was a game changer for me. You can plug the SANUS fans in as well as the magnetic LED tube lights down the sides.. magentic is so good... then the thermostate control for the fans as well, plus any low voltage devices you have, you can get rid of the power brick and plug them into the multivolt!

    • @onthecasejase
      @onthecasejase 3 года назад +1

      Build Montage Thanks Tony that’s a cool idea. The link you have for Amazon lists the product as unavailable but I’ve found a few other local sites that have them. Do you need the multi volt adapter to plug the lights into?

    • @BuildMontage

      So the cabling is nothing fancy, it's oxygen free 14AWG wire which is used in construction. Ive had 3 different cablers come in and they all used the exact same stuff. I didnt cable, and its all in now, the most I could do is a video on cable sleeving, which I might do!

    One thing I would like to add here, I am sure these are great speakers no wonder they must sound like a commercial theatre. But as long as you mentioned about the sound coming through between the two speakers is depends on mix of the audio and you can achieve the same effects from any speakers as long as your system is calibrated properly. I have basic 5.1 system with entry level onkyo and Panasonic 3way speakers, I have spent a lot of time on calibration and the result is awesome and I can even tell sometime sound between the front right and surround right or between the centre or left channel. Or even I hear the sound above my head too. So that all depends on how u calibrate your system. But honestly you have an amazing system mate.

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  3 года назад

      Thanks appreciate it. I agree calibration is HUGE when it comes to sound because you are changing the sound to fit the room they are placed in. I have heard systems which sounded amazing and were not particular high end, and then there is my own which came to life once it had been calibrated properly. I think if you can be happy with what you have make the most of calibrating it to it's full potential.

    Gday Tony, Trevor is my name. I’m looking at doing a new theatre and have been looking at the Krix behind screen wall of sound. Now that you have had yours for a small amount of time are you glad you went that route. I am tossing up between running my current Polk RTI A9s behind the screen with two Svs subs, or getting this Krix system. Do you find the Krix subs that are included in this setup enough or are you running other subs as well?
    Cheers

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  3 года назад +1

      Hi Trevor, I couldn't be happier with my setup however I need to do my acoustic treatment which will definitely improve things but yeah the sound is BIIG! The subs are great, however from my seated position I have a big null which is super disappointing. It's the room, not the speakers but I have a MINIDSP I need to hookup to potentially fix it. I may also reposition the subs to have one in and one out to see if that helps but they hit pretty hard and these speakers will go much further on less power than your Polk speakers no doubt! • @bobidderis3880
    @bobidderis3880 3 года назад

    Large drivers aka speakers will do justice to large sound. That's why we can't sacrifice sound for space restrictions. I've been listening to small bookshelf home theater speakers claims to produce big sound. But there's major differences when compared to a bigger sized cone even that big of a speaker is a cheap one. To have big epic sound in a ht one must go with 10" and up quick punchy woofers and horn mids and highs. Quick woofers tend to have punchy sound and sharply crossed at 80hz. And 80hz below will be processed by subwoofers. So the mains only play tight lower mid to high clean of distortion from bass rumble.
