Why can't I find a video of how ELEVATOR CARS are made? You know, the CAR, the box that people get in and out of. This showed everything BUT the making of the car itself!
As someone who makes the actual rails that didn’t show anything of what we do although I believe that was my company but a different building some are fully auto and some are manual but they didn’t even show like 1/8 of what actually happens
Heres an interesting fact if an elevator brake was to fail and the elevator goes into freefall it will actually go upwards because the counterweight is actually heavier than the cab
That's a misleading statement. The cab would only go up if the elevator was empty or have less than 40% of its carrying capacity. So a car with 50% capacity up to completely full would go down. Counterweight equals the weight of the car plus 40% of the capacity. Ex. 2000 lb. car with 2000 lb. capacity would have a counterweight weigh-in at 2,800 lb
Not necessarily. It all depends on the load in the car. The counterweight is equal to the weight of the car plus a percentage of the load. This is known as the overbalance. That percentage can also vary depending on the intended usage although it’s usually around 40-50 %.
Finally, I can watch the English version "The Making"
must easy for me to understand the English than Japanese!
Very good!

Thanks. But what's with the quotation marks around things whose terms are _actual_ instead of just figurative, like the counterweight and car?

That's why modern lifts have bi-directional governors

Do I or you like construction elevators?
How about for the basements?
A basement is just another floor. A lift will go where it’s built to go.

Elevator rails are not lgbtq+ apparently
A lift is a machine. What has lgbtq+ got to do with that?
@@caroleast9636 The rails have to be strait in order to allow smooth operations.
