Last item would be an old thread gauge. Pre-plastic era numbers were most likely painted on and have fallen off due to rust. I would think standard gauge not metric. It could be used for shortening screws or even straighten them. My uncle had one and he mainly sized with it.
The last Item is in fact a clockmakers screw plate a sort of multi size threading die to make various size threaded machine screws. It is missing all the threading taps that correspond with each of the increasing size holes. I make and repair clocks and have a number of these threading devices.
You are an artist!
Do they really come "ready made" in the same shape as a trowel or tire patch vulcanizing tool?
@@ryanjohnson3615 Could you send a picture of that tool please?
@@ryanjohnson3615 They sure do! Search "clockmakers screw plate" for examples
The scary thing is one day someone with put an actual typewriter on here.
I can't wait to see an IBM Selectric III on here LOL
I actually got that one. I have an old grand piano sales display piece that presents a single key and all its workings. And I recognized the typewriter key.
@@jeffreyharville1918 Selectric II certainly...........💋
@@ryanjohnson3615 sorry... I'm drooling!!!!
Guessing the last item is a thread gauge. Each hole is a different thread size. One row is fine thread and the other row is coarse or standard thread. I have one that I made.
I agree!
I also have one. On examining the threaded hole there are two extra hole, one on each side. These holes create cutting edges on the threads. When a screw is run in the threads are cleared and straightened.
It can also be used to determine the screw's size and thread pitch.
Last item is a homemade thread gauge/tap/screw cutting tool. Today, you can buy one already made, but originally, it was a inner tube/tire vulcanizing tool, or it could have been a special masons trowel. I feel like the trowel may be a better guess than the tire vulcanizing tool.
Look like what they dig stuff out of horse/cow hooves with
Okay...I was completely stumped by all of these. Still fun to play along and see how close I get.
I agree with everyone saying the last item in a thread gauge/tool for screws, since the holes are threaded and different sizes.
I got the bait box and lamp base.
Those Japanese prints are gorgeous, it's a shame Grampa never got around to framing them, or protecting them. I have to look up that artist now, I've never heard of him, but I love his work!
I got 2! That is more than usual.I knew the lamp base immediately because mother had them when I was growing up. The bait holder was just a guess.
Thank you for this videos it was actually cool!
Glad you liked it!
Used to straighten screw thread
Called a thread chaser.
Screw thread multidie .😊
Wire extrusion gage,,,😂
To me that last item seems like it must be a bolt gauge if it's threaded
An early Cribbage board is outa the question???
👁👁 Always a pleasure
Last item: Screw size identifier.
♥♥♥♥
It is a screw gauge
I think the last one is for gauging wire, like for jewelry.
No, the holes are threaded. like for bolt sizing.
The fisherman's creel was easy to spot.
Not a creel but a worm box.
A creel is to put your caught fish in !
The first looks like a wax recorder.
Last item is used when cutting screws that are too long. Insert the screw, cut it and unscrew the screw the straighten the threads?
Last item is a screw plate. Used to tap threads.
The last item is for heating up and using to vulcanize tire patches.
