The Jews were threatened by Haman the Agagite, not the Maccabees, who were heroes from the Bible books of Maccabees one and two.

The wood sculpture is a souvenir from Jerusalem (written in Hebrew on the back). Th building is Tomb of Absalom in Jerusalem. It is a common image for these old souvenir. It is probably from early 20th century.

Thank for pronouncing 'Gagliano' correctly! Too many people would sound the 'G' in front of the 'L', and also with a 'G' in front of an 'N'. Being part Italian, this always bothers me.
This video is a rare instance in which i couldn't even guess at a correct answer. Lots of intriguing items, though.

The label on the phone at 2:03 is not written in German but in Danish. It says,
"Don't Call Frontside After(can't. see the rest of the sign)".
But still, it's written in Danish 🇩🇰

On the bottom it says "Jydsk (Jysk today) Phone Limited Company" (ore maby joint stock company).

It says "ring ikke forinden efterhøring". In the early days of the telephone, one line was often shared by sevral people, so the caption says "don't call before checking (listening) that nobody else are using the line"😁 A quite common telephone found everywhere, from private homes to train stations, and btw. "aktieselskab" is just Ltd. Company 😀

Doubtful, from what icouldsee, it would be very hard to balance a Qur'an (or indeed any book) on that device

Last item: My husband says a fidget toy. I say, I don't know, but those were not Arabic numerals IMO.

Those are Arabic numerals, what we in English call Arabic numerals are based on a different 10th century Arabic system... In the Arab world they call ours western numbers.

@@njzeigler4370 Yes, Arabic as in the language, not as in the style we westerners mistakenly call Arabic. The 12345 numbers are based on Hindu numbering; the arabs began to use those, and we imported them from the arabs... so we call them Arabic.

They are Arabic numerals in that they are the numerals used by Arabic script and the numbers quoted in the video, 88 (at the top) 100 (middle) and 110 (bottom) are correct
