I miss the gels from back in the day. 😆 They always crunched up 😂 Now that I'm fully silver, it seems like I've become glycerin sensitive, which makes it even harder to find a good gel, and I'm definitely Team Definition.

I’m so happy I found your channel. Little by little I’m turning white and like you I had a hard time finding something that worked for me. Not only do you have to make sure your hair likes the product but you have to take into consideration where you live. I live in South Florida and most gels just didn’t work because of the high humidity.

Hi Dee! I’m glad you found me too. I’m always happy I’m helping. Environment is a huge factor in how well any product works. What gel did you find that worked for you?

@@QuickSilverHair I found that Boucleme gels, JSL Essentials gel, and Innersence I Create hold seem to work the best!

Awesome video yet again!!! Still learning from you, Joli!
I like the Giovanni hair spray, too, but just have to apply twice due to humidity where I live. I also like it because it doesn’t cause my scalp to itch! Otherwise, Loma firm hold hair spray is another favorite however it does cause some itching. It holds really well in high humidity! Sure wish they would make a fragrance free version some day. ❤

I found the firm hold spray from Loma to be pretty intense hold so I haven’t used it very much. However , it is very effective. Thanks again for being here and watching! 😊

I have a graveyard of styling prodicts. My hair just rejects everything I try to use for my curls... Creams, mousse, gels and every variation of the above. Influencer videos on RUclips are quite misleading, I feel. It's sponsored content actually and most influencers speak about their very, very favourite products, until the next month when they have a whole set of other very, very favourite products - usually newly launched products that brands are pushing! Listen with skepticism. I am drying my grey curly hair straight for now, until I can bear to revisit my product collection. More sample sizes are needed!

I totally understand. I do have some other videos that are about application method, which might help you. I’d start with a shampoo and conditioner you know you love, because they are rinsed out you usually can do fine with what works for you. Then start slow with only two products a leave in and a hold product, possibly from the same line in a brand because they are more likely to be formulated together.
I am not sponsored, by any one brand, if I ever am I will let you know up front. I talk about products that work for me, and products I know are safe for silver hair. My brand selection is limited to my sensitivities and allergies.

Have you tried the Loma curvy crème? I’ve been looking at that along with the gel.

I have. It’s a great product. Similar to JessiCurl Confident Coils. It’s a light cream gel. That’s the best way I can describe it. It pairs well with Loma Calming Cream.

I have, and I wasn’t really a fan. It has a texture to it that I do not care for. However, if you like something that’s adds texture definitely give it a try. 🌟
