Very unusual to have this strong hurricanes that far north. Don't be scared, be prepared. This is gonna be a bad one. I've experienced a few very strong extra tropical cyclones, and they're nasty. And now there's a tropical element to it as well
Not really. Because you've never lived that far north east apparently.
@@sizedtoaster0278 I'm not saying it's not happening from time to time. But this strong is quite rare. I've experienced tropical storms also, and yes, I live in Norway, so remnants from hurricanes often transition into extra tropical cyclones here as well. These things are serious business, but this seems way stronger than the average
Thar she blows, tis a Nor Easter !
@@michaelespeland in the winter we have pretty strong storms that hit Nova Scotia with winds that hit 100kmh, were use to these here.
No !it’s not that strange….I live in Newfoundland,I’ve seen many storms like this…
You don't have to stand next to a spot that splashes water on you, we get it its wet.
😂
Lmao this is so true why do they bother, we're not stupid
ok best comment
Do you understand the situation of the story ?
Really wish he would go inside
Praying for our friends in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia
Absolutely.
And New Brunswick
I’m in New Brunswick, it was terrifying, but Nova Scotia got it the worst. We lost power and the trees looked at times to bend to the ground- some snapped and some look straggled and leaves all over roads and doorsteps. I have a son in Halifax and worried constantly about him. The sun is up today snd can hear chain saws all around …

I was just in Bermuda there at that exact bridge!
Father protect everyone in Fiona's path i pray Amen 🙏
That is not normal I am fairly certain that hurricanes don't go up north to Canada.
I hope this doesn't happen that isn't a great deal at all.
idk man... ever heard of Q???? lmfao they got a bunch of good info check it out. do NOT look up climate science though. forget about that. Q is the way.
This type of hurricane that goes along the east coast heading north, is called a Nor'easter, nothing new, either is climate change, been happening since Earth's creation
Not so unusual. We always get the tail end of hurricanes. Im glad it didnt hit the part of the island
I,m on. Very sad to seemthe damage
In newfoundland i mean
Stay safe everyone.
Even here in the Philippines, experienced a super typhoon- deadly storm.
I already have friends arriving here from Nova Scotia. They straight up left.
Please be careful. The eye came over us here in Las Terrenas Dominican Republic. We are still without power and water. Glass and debris flying. Trees come down around us.
Im in halifax right now and can say , I couldn’t go outside because I was gonna fly off it’s crazy
Stay away from windows and stay downstairs
We are praying to God Almighty for protection for everyone.❤️🇯🇲🌄
Praying for Bermuda and canada
Stay safe ya'll 🥺
Safra…. Gtfo before I come get u
She's got that "I'd like to speak to the manager" hairdo!
In Gaspesia we recently got snow!

💕☮️🤞🏻👍🏻🥲
Pray for them 🙏
God Bless everyone ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Your average NBC and MSNBC viewers are Godless Hellbound Atheists
My prayers go out to all affected by the storms. I also have to say Ms. Dylan is killin it with that great skirt and nude heels. I hope I got her name right.
They're pros in preparation and recovery in Bermuda.
Targeting? Gosh, y’all some drama! No wonder nobody listens to y’all any longer. 😂
“If you’re scared, you’re smart!” all credibility out the window with that statement.
Dylan *Dryer*...I sense a faint aroma of irony. Kudos on taking your job seriously. We need the info.
3:08 this guys weatherman voice is insane
Here in the phillipines, we are being battered by the super typhoon named noru.
Stay safe everyone!
i feel so powerful "fiona"
I love the wording on this story to give it more drama factor.
A hurricane doesn't "target" anything because a hurricane doesn't have a consciousness as far as we know.
No known entity with a conscious effort, creates Hurricanes and then sends them forth as a weapon against us.
A hurricane will effect an area. A hurricane can make landfall in an area. A hurricane can batter and cause death, destruction and mayhem, in an area. But it does all of this without intent or a target.
Language is important.
Affect an area. It will have an effect. One is a verb, one is a noun. Yes, language is important.
@@missmayflower you’re a legend
You 100% didn’t have any friends in school
@@missmayflower Very correct. Have to pay more attention when typing.
We DO anthropomorphize them. We've been giving them names for 70 years and endowing them with individual characteristics for all 70 of them: "capricious," "fickle'" "well-behaved," "erratic," "furious." etc. etc. Nothing new, and not likely to change any time soon.
Marine Kingdom going crazy on the coast everything happens spiritually...
If your scared, your not prepared
It will weakened fast. Canada water too cold for that hurricane to maintain a Cat 3 strength.
I hope the Veterinary College survived with all of their animals, staff, and students.
Oh, please! Get real!
@@MrPink77 well you're a downer
Absolutely
@@MrPink77 Necessary?
@@Bigtiddiegof666 yes.
It didn't hit Bermuda directly those winds where more like 75 mph not the full direct hit of it which would have been 110mph.
I have friends lost in the Bermuda Triangle back in 1994
Man Shrek‘s wife did this much damage
Praying for all of you.

Mother Earth has her own agenda.
I think Canada will be prepared for this hurricane. I hope it doesn't hit Tampa.
Oohh 🍁
Well the fact that they're able to get the infrastructure back up like that is because it was designed to deal with that. Too bad those running New Orleans couldn't figure that out for 200 years.
hurricane in Canada. climate scientists be like "tried to tell ya'll..."
I am NOT a climate denier but I do need to point out that Toronto was DEVASTATED by Hurricane Hazel in 1954. To ascribe individual weather events to climate change is not very scientific. To ascribe increasing FREQUENCY of sets of formerly rare weather events to climate change is.
Canada has seen devastating hurricanes before.
Would love to know if my homie is alright.
Meanwhile in Florida Ian is brewing and will hit Florida much stronger than Fiona and will effect more people than the entire country of Canada combined.
"OUR hurricane is better than THEIR hurricane."
nobody said you weren't getting a storm, don't be insecure you'll get your turn XD
@@ameliaa3247 Y’all sound so petty rn

Nova Scotia is where they filmed the Trailer Park Boys series
Don't have a newscaster in that mess. He could have got washed out to sea. Just leave the camera with a voice over. Whats wrong with u people??? If that was my son I wouldn't want him or anyone risking their life in a hurricane.
🙏🏾
She doesn't know. It upgraded to a Category 4 and got bigger! Little behind on this! We are expecting a cat 4. As they said It's left hooking us. Check weather network. Power is about to go out, buzzer just went!
Where do you live I’m in Tampa
🙏
people, the hurricane in Canada is over, please inform me
Oh
Looks like Fiona loves OGR, Of course
I'm glad the gulf hasn't suffered yet. sometimes Canadians need something to scare them besides wildlife .
😢😢💔💔
It's not remarkable people were not hurt, Bermuda has been managing hurricanes for over 400 years. Only 4 people in our history have died directly from a hurricane, Fabian in 2003. That name has been retired. We are very experienced in preparation and recovery....and sorry but seriously, Mr. reporter..go stand right in the water spray???
Reports do what they gotta do 🙄
The storm has landed.....now, you just have to endure it Canada.
I am, as always NBC, NY Toms very British future wife, Veteran, Iraq, Afghanistan & Continent of Africa
Global warming. In Canada this storm was different. This summer was different.
Lester, you can't do a hurricane coverage without AL Roker.
My dieing last words I live you
It's dangerous!
WOW! An NBC reporter standing on a spot where I look down the harbor. Right there at Historic Properties next to the Marriott. Of course in summer that is where all the tourists
hang out. That spot is exactly where the storm surge overflows the harbor. Floods there.
I'm impressed. So would they have flown or driven up just to get that hit?
And just down over those low buildings is where they are planning to build a new place for the art gallery. The art collection of Nova Scotia in THAT location!
WTH are they thinking?! Sure, culture and condos right on the water.
Then this happens. And the new condo dwellers will whine like its someone else's fault.
Hoping it makes a direct hit for DeSantis, Rick Scott, Rubio and Matt Gaetz homes or Mar Lardo. But it won’t. The poor areas always get it.
I love a good storm I just don't want to see anybody hurt or their property ruined. But thunder lightning wind and rain is exciting if you ask me.,🌩️🌧️🌬️⛈️🌬️☔💦
Ooh, I hear laughter in the rain....
Somebody's obviously never been through a tropical storm. It goes from fun to exhilarating to scary af real quick
@ Tamitatangoto .. I'm with you on that. Love sitting on the porch lessening to the thunder, wind and rain.
So I just uploaded something that will make you really question reality. Stay blessed

Cough cough.
I for one appreciate science over emotional rationale. Emotional thinking and instincts come from the oldest part of the brain. critical thinking however comes from the frontal cortex which was the last part of the brain to be developed so it makes sense to me that more people have a hard time going with their logic over their emotions.
Did science hurt your feelings again?
you're going with your emotions instead of data. So who's the 10-year-old again? Logic prevails you might not have any but it still prevails in reality. But keep living in this world where you're so scared. So easily triggered. Triggered just like a 10-year-old
