    Offsetting fouls suck. Both fouls in this case happened after Mitch got the first down, even if Bell actually fouled the guy, the league should enforced it from that spot and that's where it should be offset from.

      lol horrible logic, they called the foul no matter what, you can’t not call a foul just because a play is hype, you sound like mahomes

      It really sucks in this circumstance. It's just silly that the defense commits a foul, *after the play* and they actually aren't penalized, they actually gain yards out of it. The original illegal block penalty was a 15 yard penalty from the spot of the foul, plus replay the down (since the foul was 19 yards downfield it would have resulted in a four yard gain plus replay the down), then the defender commits a penalty and it turns into no gain and replay the down. It feels like a flaw in the rules.

    Stuff like that should be challengeable. It is very clear he didn't intend to chop the guy. He fell down.

    Ya know, it makes me laugh at how much Seattle players will whine for penalties when those dudes can really play the dirtiest and get no calls. The reason i hate seeing the niners play them now, isnt fear of losing, but having someone go out on injury from a dirty play/hit. So seeing that dude lay there throwing a tantrum similar to that of a 2 year old just really makes me smdh 😂

    Should be noted that in Aussie Rules, faking both via hand and foot is well, not common but certainly not rare and is a fundamental aspect of baulking an opponent (AFL term). I'm honestly surprised NFL scouts haven't paid more attention to it.

      nah, after the penalty would have been marked off it would not have been a first down.

      @@leavemanycreditsit would've been because it would've been at the spot of the foul, which was well past the 1st down marker

    • @leavemanycredits
      @leavemanycredits 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@Sora-ING Not 15 yards past the first down marker though, on a live ball foul you mark the yards then decide whether you have a first down. On a dead ball foul you would have a first down and then have first & 10 after marking off the penalty yardage
