I've owned seven Guzzis over the last 40 years, more than any other brand. They're definitely an acquired taste, and with less than 30 dealers in the entire United States, not something you'll see every day. I have a '23 Guzzi V7 Stone Special Edition, and a '24 Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale. The Mandello is definitely NOT an adventure bike. It's more than fast enough for me, clicks all the boxes on my list, and it certainly has a lot more "character" than any other bike on your list at the 10:00 mark. Guzzis are a niche bike, more so than any of the other Italian "boutique" brands. Next to Harley, they've been making bikes the longest, right there on the shores of Lake Como in Italy.
I appreciate you for sharing your insights as an owner and obvious lover of the brand. As someone that has been fortunate enough to ride so many different brands and styles of bikes over the years, Moto Guzzi definitely was a unique experience. Little quirks and character for sure. I can see myself buying one at some point. Do you find the maintenance needs more than other brands?
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders Maintenance stuff is pretty basic on the air-cooled models. Checking and adjusting the valves is a snap, and the shaft drive is fairly robust. I think what's killing Guzzi in the States is the lack of a dealer network. Parts are available, so that's not the issue.
Appreciate you for sharing that information. I found it a little odd that they didn't turn them selves off quicker. At least it is there as you say if you forget because we all do from time to time.
Shots on bike are excellent. Disagree on the status comment. I have a 23 Special and yes they are rare to see however, one can say, any top litre bike are status symbols. I always come back to this. Really enjoy it.
Thanks for your feedback and feelings on this. I very much appreciate all the comments that come in as it helps me and others that come across the video in the future. I understand your point and yeah the top litre bikes are status symbols also. I guess it is the rarity of the Moto Guzzi Line in general that puts it in a status symbol for me. I do wonder if its just the fact that a lot of riders don't know who Moto Guzzi is or the worry of reliability or what as the reason in my years of riding I don't see them ridden. Just not sure because Getting to try it out its not a bad bike at all. Not perfect and its a good option to me. Hell the V7 and V9 were also enjoyable. Don't like the foot position on any of them myself but overall good bikes. I'd be interested to get your take on why they are rare. Glad to hear you enjoy yours and hope you are inclined to share your thoughts on other bikes on the channel. Stay Safe
Love how they look for sure. Seat looked cramped. You better have a dealer around to consider this one. People either love or hate this model in reviews. Best thing ever or meh. I think the Moto Guzzi Griso still looks better. I regret not buying a local one this past March for $4k. Thanks for the ride!
Yeah the styling of the Griso I would agree looks amazing. I hope to get the chance to try one eventually. I still want to try the California. This has redeeming qualities but by no means is it as good as the new Tiger 900 GT Pro for my money. You are welcome as always and thank you for always sharing your thoughts. We don't always agree but that is why I enjoy you and everyone else sharing. It expands my knowledge and challenges my thoughts. Helps me grow and get better.
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders Everyone has different tastes and a perfect bike would cost too much lmao. I'm at a crossroad with what I like vs what my age says I should ride. Body want's comfort, my heart wants the opposite :(
The quickshifter doesn't work 1st-2nd (or when the clutch is in), there's a light on the dash that indicates when the QS will / won't work. The QS works well in higher gears under hard acceleration, less so elsewhere.
your not a very good salesman out of all the reviews i have seen yours is the worst joe dirt its not about you. its the consumer stick to snakes and sparklers

It does have self-cancelling turn signals. They juat take too long to cancel. More of a 'if you forget' mode.

My quick shifter is a bit trash, when I use it for a while it makes standard shifting rough, so I don't even bother.
It's not an adv, bike. Its more considered sport tourer/ roadster.
I would agree with that assessment. I thank you for taking the time to share your opinion on it.
