Tucktec / Boto Playlist: • Tucktec / Boto Folding...
Sharon gives a one year review of her Tucktec folding kayak. First, she shows her Tucktec in the back of a Kia Soul. With one side of the back seat folded down, she has the kayak in the Kia with no problem. She also claims that if stacked properly, she could get three adults and three kayaks in the Kia.
Sharon bought the kayak herself. She would buy one again, "in a heartbeat." Across the top of the screen, Sharon has listed some of the bodies of water that she has been on with the Tucktec.
Next, Sharon shows where she launches the kayak on the bayou. The boat launch isn't great, but as of now, it is her only choice. She shows you superficial scratches, but none that cause her concern.
One of the things Sharon has done to make the kayak more comfortable, is add some foam under the seat, and use a Coleman stadium seat with a back. She says that has helped her back tremendously.
Sharon goes through some changes Tucktec has made on the kayaks since she bought hers in 2022. Those are written on the screen.
Sharon loves the Tucktec, and highly recommends it to anyone looking for a kayak.
Thank for a nice honest update Sharon . Ilove seeing your videos on kayaking and fishing! I was just kayaking last month and hadnt been in a long time . I love kayaking .
@@cassiewhite8058 Sharon loves it, but currently I've another knee that needs to be replaced. I'm thinking of doing it in January.
Thanks for the follow-up review. Was wondering how it would hold up.
Karen, keep watching. I think Sharon will give you a look at her new Tuctec.
@@TwoTiredTeachers oh good, I was looking at an inflatable kayak/canoe but I’ve worried about it getting punctured. That foldy thing Sharon is using looks like it can handle a bit of scraping on those cement loading ramp that seems to be everywhere here in the west.
Texas lakes and rivers are often loaded with tree branches that may be underwater. Sharon has said several times that she thinks she would have punctured an inflatable. It's holding up well. A comparison between the new kayak and the old one will be up by mid-April.
Nice. Only thing I have a worry about the folds is that with time, the folds will, not only, get easier to do, but they will eventually crack at the seam.
It has a three year warranty, and Tucktec stands behind their products. Sharon thoroughly enjoys her Tucktec.

Everything that eventually breaks down has a three year warranty. Ha ha
Had mine since June 2022 but I use it only in the summer a few times per year still holding I think it varies how much you use it haha
Weather permitting, Sharon uses hers at least twice a week during the summer. She tries to use it at least once a week unless it's raining or really cold.
I have the inteck 2 man blow up and found I'm too fat. The seat isn't high enough either for paddling. Did catch a fish tho. I'll stick with my john boat. Thanks for your review.
Hey, Bert, there is no way my knees would let me use a kayak, but Sharon loves hers. In the summer when we're home or near any lake, Sharon tries to go out in hers at least twice a week.
I am finding little that will fit behind the seat. You look to be carrying some kind of egg crate. is that available on Amazon?
Actually, it's a milk crate. She used that until she found a small thermos that would fit behind the seat. In the summer, she needs to put the fish somewhere cool. The thermos works perfectly.
Dang - it doesn't seem like a year since I first saw you with this kayak. Time flies. Super cool little Kayak and I'm actually considering one based on your recommendation. We live on a lake after all and it would go well on either of my RV's (not sure i've mentioned it but I have a Grand Design bumper pull toy hauler and a small NoBoundaries overlander 10.6). Point being, this little boat would fit nicely with either one and we could use it at home as well. Win Win.
I think it will be within a couple of weeks that Sharon will have another Tucktec video about her new kayak. It is smaller and weighs only 10 pounds while the one she now has weighs 28 pounds. She still loves the one she now has, but the smaller one might be nice to carry on trips, and it will give her a chance to kayak with friends who don't have a kayak.
Great idea having two! And looking forward to the video on the new one!
@@carltuckerson7718 The video comparing the two should be up by mid-April.
I was watching trying to see someone attach the stabilisers, but you didn't show that
I think you should show the whole set up
I love you
I bought one of these and this boat sucks. Mine is now in the dump. This company has no customer service.
really? why so many good reviews?
Can you say more about why you disliked it? I am considering purchasing one because of the many good reviews, so your review gives me pause. Thanks for your time
