I'm also a pastor and a father. I do this all for my son. My goal will always be to leave him in a world where he doesn't have to worry about the same threats that we are dealing with today. The same innocence I grew up with is what I protect for my children. When I'm alone or traveling, I do it for the same people that Jesus cared for. I'll always stand for the ones who don't have the ability to stand without help. Great video my dude. Thank you.
Always really enjoyed the Average Joes Range Day" trips around to different areas of the country so see how different dudes do things. Curious on your current EDC and what gear your running on range days. Always enjoy the content dude!
Really appreciate you sharing all this, both your faith and your firearms journey. I love the aspect of being a dedicated competitor but keeping the understanding of things that have a deeper importance. Stoked to see what content you have for 2025.
It would seem the best channels in this genre focus on lifestyle where firearms are just a part of. Guns out of context are just noise makers. For soldiers, rifles are only a part of a bigger picture and often not even the main part.
Thanks Jimmy, totally agree on using the rifle that you will use when you need it the most. Also for sticking to the content that will justify the use of surviving. In case something happens. God forbid.
Keep up the great work. Something I would be interested in seeing is some content on staging gear at for rapid stateside deployments. My focus this year is being ready to roll with very little notice to secure and rebuild in my local area. I live within 2 hours of where the floods hit in NC. I had a small number of lifelong friends that had had major issues and had to evacuate. They are squared away and resourceful people who responded for themselves and didn’t need my help at the time. But, with whatever happens next that might be a different situation. I have a good deal of experience in doing this stuff overseas, but; I don’t think enough people are ready to do it domestically when their neighbors over the mountain are the ones who need help. Just a thought. Like you alluded to Sir, there is way more to protecting our way of life and maintaining our communities than just awesome gear and the skills to employ it.
I'm Coptic trying to show my son how ironic u have a cross like we do in the same place like we do for the same reason that we do! i thought it was hilarious because as i was showing it to him while you were explaining it. I already was a sub to the channel but that would've been ll the reason to hit that like button. lol
I wouldn't mind seeing a training regime breakdown, what to train and when, I feel like some of my range days are wasted because I do not have a good plan of attack. You can pick one specific area, unless its the same with most disciplines.
I know this is a hike for you but I’d love to see you take the minuteman course with a fellow brother in Christ, Bill Rapier at AMTAC. He’s up in North Idaho. I’d also love to know your routine for getting dry fire reps with your pistol AND rifle.
Why?...... Why Not???? If you've ever been unprepared in a situation and negatively effected you tend to not want to repeat that performance of the factors that lead to it
@@Fullyautomagic the clearest way God communicates with us is through Jesus. We don’t all have light beams in the sky moments, but it doesn’t mean God doesn’t speak to us. Ha nice. I see what you did there. If I had a better phrase I’d use it, but then that’d probably be the new annoying thing and so the cycle would continue
@jimmybrodriguez meant no disrespect, sir. It's inevitable for people to get wrapped around the axel that they try, and often fail, to understand the nuance of the topic. I'm slowly realizing that, for the most part, we are not in control. Focusing on the preparation provides little relief and few of us will ever really be called to action. Alls i can do is take steps to try and be ready for when/if the LORD calls on me.
No worries, no disrespect taken, just having fun with it. My definition comes from studying the revolutionary militias. I think the most important skills “prepared citizens” need are the ability to learn and the ability to problem solve.
@jimmybrodriguez nailed it! Yes we all need the ability to learn and problem solve, so many think they have it but then never actually learn, I went through that arrogant phase for a little while but got tired of spinning wheels and looked inward to see my issue "thinking I already knew" instead of listening. I now make myself open to being a better listener and have found out I learn sooooo much more! Thank you for putting yourself out there to help others
Holy lisp! Don't know where that came from.
Not to take away from the great message in the video. It rings true to me. But the cardigan is giving “Mexican Mr Rogers” and here for it.
I’ll take it. Mr. Rogers was a G!
Great video, man. Thank you for the service you do. God Bless. Keep helping keep the flock safe!

Appreciate you sharing more about your background and your faith! Love to see you expanding your channel in this way. Keep it going
Thanks for sharing, this is more meaningful and important than 99% of all the gun content out there schilling a new gun, gizmo, or course.

Hopefully we’ll get back to those soon. I’ll film and edc update this weekend
@ Dope!
Looking forward to it dude.
Very sage advice, and great perspective. Your video helped me narrow down some goals for the year.
Glad to hear it was helpful.
That's the way! Keep on going!
Good stuff Jimmy I’ll be tuning in appreciate your effort in your channel.
You’re gonna make me cry with that quote. It’s been the most impactful one to me since reading his book.
John Piper has a similar one relating to Christian Hedonism

Thank you taking the time and making this video ❤
Glad you enjoyed it.
I'm up for more Why(finding my, others interviews...), Philosophy of use of gear and kits.
Happy New Year!

Dude, never knew you were a pastor, that's awesome! I feel like God is calling me to ministry after my military service ends.
Shoot me a DM on insta. I’m happy to answer any questions if you want

What’s the best training you’ve received thus far? As far as firearm training, location and trainers ?
If I could post the return of the king gif on RUclips I would
Holy shit!! It’s YOU!! Haha 😂 thought you quit RUclips months ago 😢
Alas it is I

Is that Jerusalem cross new? Looks awesome
Got it earlier this year
Will you ever get back to having average joes events
Get some.
LFG
Maybe god exists but I don’t think so. Most people seem to have had some communication but I have not.
Maybe not, or maybe you just don’t know yet what you should be listening for
You say God hasn't spoken to you, but have you really ever listened?
@@uoislamewhy would someone not?
Lots of people live their whole lives without hearing what he’s saying. There’s a whole lotta noise out there, man

Prepared citizen is quickly becoming the new annoying catch phrase. I dont know my why. I guess im still looking.
