Is that a varnish or is it a sealer/ground? It seems to be soaking in rather a lot.
its just spirit varnish blond dewaxed from Hammerl, Joha...plain and simple.
To set the grain, two coatings, silicate of potassium, silicate of Calcium ossificy the grain. Have you used these coatings?
@@stanjohnson591 have not tried this yet, though I remember reading something about silicates in Cremonese varnish. Let me know how it goes!
