@@SoBor911 It's not about purity for me, but whether or not Bloober Team can deliver a game worthy of the Silent Hill 2 name. That would mean going noticeably above every game the studio has made to this point.
That being said, I hope they turn a new leaf and crush it. The world is a better place with a good Silent Hill 2 remake than it is with a bad one.
@@Commander6444 Bloober have said some months earlier this will be their final psychological driven horror game and will focus on more mainstream style horror games if that makes any sense. A remake for 1, 3, 4 will have to be done by other different studios that Konami ends up choosing.
agreed
They definitely stepped this up from what we saw in the trailer! I think this will be a masterpiece! Very excited for this!
20:23 I would have had a heart attack if I was playing this and that happened!
It's gonna happen to you, lol
The lack of a musical sting is what makes it so scary. It's Bloober team demonstrating some subtlety for once.
I’m set to pre order this game tomorrow, Silent Hill: The Short Message was my first SH game. I hope this game lives up to the hype.
I’ve been a fan of this series longer than most of y’all trashing on it been alive, I can’t wait for this to come out it’s gonna be so good we Silent Hill fans are feasting.
Age does not matter. It simply means you are old. If there are problems it is worth talking about them. This is a very difficult game to renew. To convey the atmosphere of a game that was created in another decade by a group of people from a completely different country will simply be a difficult task. But I hope that this Polish studio will draw a lot of experience from this project and they will get better and better at creating their own original games.
@@NocnaGlizda fair/constructive criticism is alright, I have my own such as the animations sometimes look stiff and at other times disjointed. The reflections on the puddles don’t show the fog either. But I’m just nitpicking. Most of the people trashing, just hate it solely because Bloobers doing it, which was a general concern but I really think they’ve redeemed themselves with this presentation. I’m sold and giving it an open minded chance.
This literally looks gorgeous it’s great to see a game that looks like it was made in the year 2024
Looks amazing,I'll buy day one on PS5
Day 1 on PC baby!
@@KevinCook-f4zyou gonna be waiting a looooooong time brotha. I barely use my ps5 but I’m def not gonna wait until pc release. Gonna be a double dip for me lol
@@plushpc5992it will release the same time on pc as playstation
@@plushpc5992it comes out on October 8th for PS5 and PC, so it comes out on the same day-- no waiting thankfully haha
I'm getting it on PC personally, but if I like it enough then when I feel like going couch potato then I'll probably pick it up for ps5 at some point too, probably on a discount
RIP if you're on Xbox though!
PS5 is for kids. Buy a PC like a man!
Okay you guys KILLED IT so far, everything is stellar and a huge step up from the original trailers, the music, the atmosphere, especially the little touches like the UI sound phenomenal. I’m looked forward to this now.
Looks awesome!
I’m SO STOKED for the 8th. This looks amazing
Same☺️
Everything looks good apart from the walking/running animation. Something just feels off about it
There is nothing wrong, it's just not cool
the walking looks like he's walking on his tippy toes. It's a bit weird. Animation transition from walking running also looks abrupt and odd. I was hoping it was gonna be way way smoother like Alan Wake 2, and a bit more slow paced. I know on the OG you could sprint like a maniac, but was hoping they'd slow the pace on the remake
I had my doubts about the early trailers but this looks awesome🤗👍
Looks great! Very excited
Them editing the beginning to make it more subtle rather than over acting makes a night and day difference. I’m so glad they listen to the fans who pointed out how it was over delivered.
2:38 that little flute or whatever very very … silent hill 1 to throw that in … dang 😮 unbelievable … go listen to “tears of “ on the silent hill 1 soundtrack dang … just perfect nostalgia brought me right back akira !
Isn’t this song? I swear I heard it somewhere before
@@dashnyamkhurelbaatar1318 If you're talking about the song that plays as he looks over the balcony, then this is a remaster of the song "Letters" from the original Silent Hill 2, also known as "Wishful Thinking" in the Ultimate Edition.
"Tears Of..." is the true (Good+) ending song from Silent Hill 1, and also utilizes a flute that sounds somewhat similar to the flute here.
@@symbiotesoda1148 thank you so much. For real
@@dashnyamkhurelbaatar1318 No problem, glad I was able to help.
Obsessed with the voice acting, soundtrack, and general sound design. It all sounds great
Looks incredible, hopefully playing this on Ps5 Pro 😊
D’après ce que je vois, ça va être très amusant. J’ai hâte de l’essayer moi-même!
James' VA is very good in showing emotion during gameplay. He sounds scared and determined to fend the Silent Hill inhabitants off.

Ah, yes, the obligatory "yellow tape means it can be climbed or moved" cliche.
I remember playing the original several times. I am more than excited for this to come out in less than 2 months!!! Counting the days!
This has a completely different feel from the original, which is fine it looks well polished but a completely different game with the premise of the original.
That’s what a remake is
This looks amazing. Can’t wait to play it.
ok I’m sold lol
This is beautifully done. I cannot wait for this release! :)
In my restless dreams I hear gamers crying about stiff animations and frame rates…
Stiff animations and terrible combat animations
@@Hi12239since when silent hill franchise is known for its combat 😂. Stop meat riding hater bro.
@@Hi12239oversensitivity issue
@@Nobodysurvivesevenonebitfor real lol. Silent Hill isn't like Resident Evil as the combat isn't the series main focus.
@@Hi12239 news flash of the century; Silent Hill is not, I repeat, Silent is NOT an action game. It's a horror game which has necessary survival combat. Put the pipe down and touch some grass
The voice acting is really good. Feels like an animated movie.
Missing my friends Henry Mildred and Scott
Though I've seen play throughs, I was born a little too late to be able to experience the original, so I'm looking forward to this. Here's hoping that it's every bit as unsettling!
How men live their lives
Never played the original but this looks great. Really been loving the recent treatment of remakes and I also love that this is getting a physical release. Definitely gonna check this one out.

Looks better than the original. Combat looks way better.
🟥
@@2NDFLB-CLERK I agree. Voice acting is already better as well. Hoping the whole game stacks up.
@@artheals8869 If this is gonna be your first time experiencing Silent Hill 2, I sort of envy you. My love of the original goes deep, and to see this game re-imagined like this fills me with joy. I hope if you do get this, you enjoy it!
19:00 the gaming journalist aim is tough to watch
I’m convinced none of them actually play games.
i think that’s more the characters aim then anything, they clearly don’t want the character to look like he knows how to handle recoil. that being said spreading bullets over a couple different enemies instead of just downing one did bug me.
@@puddingcatsteamboat6393 I hope they add some details like his aim and combat abilities getting better throughout the game
Gamespot Reviewer: “Aiming was overwhelming slow and clunky, 6/10”
The morning I wake up and play this on 48 hour early access will be the best day of my life.
No hay quejas , todo está en su lugar . Es un deber jugar esto .
Atmosphere looks top notch.
The atmosphere in this looking awsome and OST 🥰🥰
I’m more familiar with Silent Hill 3 and (unfortunately) only managed to play a bit of Silent Hill 2 through a GameFly rental of the “HD Collection” (YES, I KNOW) so I’m not 100% sure how faithful this remake is compared to a true fan… but this legitimately looks good! The dark, grimy atmosphere seems perfectly in tact and the sound design is solid!
I’ve heard people be generally mixed about Bloober’s past track record with games based on how they handle horror and certain subject matters, but based on the more positive comments for this video, I am even more interested in checking this out when it releases. I just hope it gets decent reviews.
That soundtrack, dear lord! Graphics and atmosphere are absolutely stunning, wow. Gameplay is looking great too, looks weighty like Dead Space.
I’m actually happy there isn’t a fixed camera. I love the original, it’ll always be my favorite horror game of all time, but there wouldn’t have been a point of this remake if it was just exactly the same. Most people don’t like fixed cameras anymore, but if you guys are looking for some great little recent games that have one, try Crow Country, Signalis, and Tormented Souls.
That said, I love this story so much. I read that they expanded the story a lot, and the game is much longer than the original. I’m so looking forward to this.
Genuinely the opening was done so well that it made me start to get emotional. The new arrangement from Yamaoka definitely added to it along with James and Mary's actors performances. Loved the little hint of Promise being played towards the end of the song as James' monologue ends.
It looks amazing
Really hoping that this game will be a success, it's one of the most beloved games of all time
