"chance of departure today 100%." (I got you babe plays ominously in the distance).
Little did he know that chances of departure was 0%
Always wanted to go to this town and sleep in the relaxing hotel while it snows and I just watching the snow
I’m very close to puxtatawny. I highly recommend sipping tea under a quilt while watching snow pile up ❤️
@@annacostello5181 and then soak tired city feet in a foot massage tub, and just catch some Zzzzzzz's while watching movie in room, and the fire place is going.. after eating coma inducing nom noms... and having a after noms nap.... mmmm mmmm self care right there.
And then you loop forever
@@WatercraftGames in peace thou. There is a farm I go to where I get this peace and relaxing feeling I long for .£20 a night lots of breakfast included.
Yeah, but then I would have to become a homo@@annacostello5181
The next day: “chance of.. departure today is..80 percent....75-80.
I must have seen this clip hundreds of times.
I hated the song just from watching the movie I can only imagine how he felt
I actually love the song and for me, it made the movie even more enjoyable. Now, if they had put a Journey song in the never ending loop, I'd probably shoot myself.
@@Dana-wq5tp Nicely put! Journey (a.k.a. 'the band no-one alive in the 80s actually knew before 'Glee' decided to revive them' is to every true fan of the 80s what 'I Got You Babe' is to people who watched this film.
Thank God it's not Five For Fighting! 😝
@@WeaselKing1000 I don't have a clue what "glee" is but I've heard Journey on the radio about a million times over the last forty years and have a record still. Steve Perry was a very well know vocalist. I was never a fan but tons of people were.
One of my favorite scenes from this movie
Imagine if you were in the film & the alarm went off at 6:00 am with I Got You Babe playing in the background, you would just sleep in & miss out the groundhog coming out of the log.
"This looks fine!"
I've wondered if Sonny felt, and Cher feels, that their hit song was used to create a feeling of dread in a famous movie?
Like the same way I feel whenever I Cher opens her mouth.
I was hoping at some point Bill Murry would throw the radio into a tree.
@@PeterSedesse dang!!!!!!!
The voices on the Radio sound like they are done by Bill Murray's brother and the guy who played Bed Ryerson.
Hahahahha i love this movie!!
chit chat!
I was 15 and went to watch this live by myself . I loved it .. i still watch it once a year
The best bits when he goes over the cliff with the Groundhog on the steering wheel, sad but funny.
First time I watched this movie was at the time I was stuck in bed in hospital, since then wherever I travel this movie is on my hard drive, at least few times a year I rewatch it.
When Phil was telling Mrs Lancaster about the weather, was he being rude to her or just something else? Because I get the feeling he was being cynical the whole time.
I always thought of it as him flexing his ego. Phil was always so confident in his prediction, despite everyone else hearing otherwise, so he has to explain to everyone that questions his prediction in the only way he knows best - by presenting it like a weatherman.
He's a weatherman, so any discussion about the weather obviously makes him want to be professional, and do a forecast.
Obviously.
I keep the tab with the playlist open so from time to time I find it and experience groundhog day (if there's no mistake in the matrix of the truman show)
Great movie
He's such a knob to everyone in this segment....he's 'especially cold.'
is that jack ruby and harold ramis on radio talking ? atleast sounds like it
He reminds me of mr stark
The businessman is Max in Armageddon.
This was great film. But if a person really repeated the same day for years, they would eventually go insane
Well there was a period where he did kind of go insane. All those suicide scenes.
He says what we're all thinking about small talk. How bout dem Chiefs? Turn off your tell-a-vision.
One of the DJ's sounds like Bill Murray's brother.
Where in the continental United States is it daylight at 6:00am on February 2? It's well dark at the latitude of Punxatawney. Anyone from South Carolina or Savannah or Galveston, et al., care to comment, please?
its not exactly bright looks like dawn, maybe even predawn light, though not sure on the geography of my own street I'm guess it should be pitch black outside at that time of year?

Which state are you in?
It’s a movie.
Good catch. Never thought of that before. I just checked and Key Largo sunrise for 2/15/21 is 6:56am.
I am at 40 L in the US and it is always pitch black at 6am this time of year.
One of those djs has to be Bills brother!
I think his name is Brian Murray
