I got the WaterRower which is the manufacturer of the Ergatta rowing machine but it costs half as much without the electronics. Then I got the Hydro app for $20/month. Best of both worlds!
I would love to be able to row so effortlessly and still be able to talk. Impressive. Love your videos and I share the same views as you on these two machines.
Very helpful review. I really want to go with the Ergatta, but this did give me some pause because of the width pedal - which I hadn't considered at all before. Thanks!
@Sleepy Croc I haven't yet as some other experiences popped up. Pretty heavily leaning towards the Hydrow though due to those pedal's being so close togther.
The resistance on the Hydrow is easy to change on the touchscreen when you're rowing. The Ergatta uses water resistance so the harder you pull the more resistance you get. So, the amount of resistance is up to the intensity of the user and isn't adjustable like on the Hydrow.
The Ergatta needs a purification tablet placed in the water tank about every 6 months. When you run out of tablets, you can order them for free at Ergatta. As long as this level of maintenance is kept up, you shouldn't need to replace the water. It's important to check the hardware on both of these rowers and make sure every bolt/screw is tight. Also, be sure that they're regularly wiped down to remove dust/sweat. The belt on each of them might need to be tightened occasionally as well. Beyond this and proper use, both of these rowers shouldn't require much maintenance.
@@Trolly.Troll. Both allow you to make multiple profiles under one subscription, so both are great for families. I think it comes down to which kind of content do you want? The Hydrow has trainer-led outdoor rowing classes, while the Ergatta has games and racing competitions.
The Aviron offers the content that both of these rowers feature and more. If you like gamified content and even more variety they you will love the Aviron.
@@TreadmillReviewGuru Seriously. Talk about timing. Rowing on a well made rower to a variety of mixed content such as arcade like games, streaming, coached and guided programs, live group workouts, etc. sounds like the way to go for me. I look very much forward to that review video. 👍 Also, since Aviron and Ergatta both claim to be game based rowers, it would be interesting to have those two rowers go head to head in another review video.
Your reviews are outstanding. You deserve so many more subscribers.
Thank you for the support!

Good job girl. So clear and simple in the differences. Thank you.
If my husband and I have different levels of resistance, how hard is it to change that with each use?

How about short term/long term maintenance cost and frequency?

@@TreadmillReviewGuru thank you for your reply 🙂 I do have another question. Which one would be better for a family with multiple users??

I went with Hydrow. 😃

Both support causes. Best to be sure your viewpoints align before buying.
Thanks. GOD bless
No review of the Aviron. Both of these manufacturers must be sponsoring you. Shame on you!
Haha no, we actually just got the Aviron into our studio and have been testing it to give our review. Stay tuned.
