I have been a Dewalt user since they came out, but this gun has me wanting to start buying Milwaukee. I have the cordless Dewalt drywall gun and it is awesome. Great battery life and excellent performance, BUT the Milwaukee takes it to the next level. One of my guys bought the Milwaukee, so I tried it out. I was impressed to say the least. First off, it was quieter than the Dewalt, but that auto on feature is the bee's knees. Those two features really sold me. My company does a lot of "TI" work. This is tenant improvements usually done in buildings that are occupied by other tenants who are trying to work while we do construction in adjacent spaces. It is uber important to be as quiet as possible, to avoid having to work night hours, which everyone hates. If Dewalt doesn't meet the challenge soon I will be forced to make a switch.
The auto feature is nice but very slow. I myself owned one but rearly used that feature because i found that it is to slow. As fore the cone one the gun with time it comes loose and turns by its self. I fund dewalt to be the better bet for cordless.
Well Dewalt release new version updated one and it's really nice one but Makita is the best one there and quality it's made of, Milwaukee and Dewalt made of plastic the Chuck system.
+Joe Spaz wow! If it still makes you money keep using it until it don't work no more! I am already liking the cordless unit though! No worries about cords coming loose and having to climb up and down scaffold for a loose connection!
Corded versions won’t die at the job no matter how much work you put it into, if you want the tool dead, the only way is to take it apart.. or smash it into a concrete object !
GREAT EXPLANATION ON THE DEPTH SETTING ADJUSTMENTS AND LOOKS EASY! JUST BOUGHT ONE TO TRY . . . DIYER/WEEKEND WARRIOR . . . WIFE AND HUBBY TEAM! THANKS MUCHO!
What are the limitations to this gun and its cons compared to an impact driver, I'm unaware of what they would be from ignorance, but the fact toy can have an autoloading drill, is a efficiency at another level, especially if you completely remove any chance of the screw falling off your drill when your other hand is holding the duct work at height, then have to reload the drill can be an efficiency and time kilker
I’m just here because was curious about the difference between this and a regular screwdriver to hang stuff around the house, but I’m not gunna lie. This guy is very handsome! He’s probably already taken, though. lol
Does the clutch work by pressure from the tip or from torque? If torque, it would drive less deep in a hard spot. If the tip disengages the drive at the set depth, it would sink the same depth even though wood densities vary. Can you say which it is? thanks.
I bought same gun with collated attachment and fixed 4000+ screws with it works like charm. I replaced my Senco duraspin 18v with this and no regrets whatsoever.
i have the exact same set up.. I'm not a huge fan of the attachment for general screwing but when you have one hand holding the sheet and the other needing to put screws in it can't be beat.. i am thinking of getting a second screw gun and have one with and one without the collated attachment..
love how you boys had the rock and roll playing in the background... careful though I had the radio playing in the background at the shop in a couple vids and the got flagged
We use the cordless senco strip fed gun. I find it heavy and bulky . I'm going to switch to either Milwaukee or DeWalt with the strip screw attachment. I love the strips. It can be a pain when u have to buy diff size screws by the box when only say the garage or whatever just one spor is getting double layer. But all in all I like using strips
I have this gun and it’s fucking awesome. Wouldn’t use any other gun. Kinda wish they made an M12 version to shrink it down a bit. Not that it’s to big or heavy but lighter would be better. And I wouldn’t mind changing batteries every couple hours.
VCG Construction I haven’t tried the collated screw attachment. I saw a hack on RUclips where a guy puts a hard drive magnet under the plastic so a handful of screws will stick to the top of the gun, I thought that was pretty nifty
I just bought the fuel today but haven’t used it yet. To me it feels awkward but I’m used to the corded DeWalt. What are your thoughts ? Leave a comment
Vince, I was wondering if you could switch out that number 2 for a 1/4 inch nut driver for metalk pole barn siding like you could the old corded porter cable, if not do you know of any other cordless that will
I use this screwgun for metal framing and drywalling and love it...I used to use Hilti and the hilti is tougher however it much heavier and not worth it imo...even tho this gun may only last me 2 years instead of 5 or more the weight makes it worth it plus they have warranties...Friends of mine use the dewalt screwgun and its delivers similar performance altho my milwaukee last at least twice as long before something breaking in my experience...I upgraded and bought the new slim 3amp batteries and i really like the extra power and battery life it gives me with minimal weight changes...I just prefer a full charged battery when the screws just get sucked in super easily as the battery gets to half you can feel the power drop a bit but with the 3amp it saved that small problem.
Impact works great for sure and basically all I used. Picked up one of these the other day and holy crap what a difference! I’ve got a dewalt drywall gun which is nice but this thing is in a whole other world. Totally recommend it for sure!
Look at the camera lens!! I cannot tell you how many people look back and forth between the lens and the camera man holding the camera. Look at it at all times - it’s distracting otherwise. Not only that, it doesn’t look like you care enough to look at the audience you’re speaking to.
I have a Makita cordless and brushless drywall gun for over two years now, with auto-start function, also works like a charm. Cheers
+oldbalon makita made in Japan, if I wasn’t so heavily invested in Milwaukee already I’d own the makita instead!! Thanks for watching !!
This video makes drywalling seem way more badass than it is.
🤣🤣👍🏻
Stephen Truckey hanging drywall is badass 💪💪💪

Definitely a good reason to have the auto feature!!

i got an ancient milwaukee drywall gun that ive hung thousands of sheets with, and a ton of steel siding. if it ever dies ill try the cordless.
Either way it's still a Milwaukee! How long do you think you've had it?
its at least 30 years old. was my old mans before i started using it.
+Joe Spaz wow! If it still makes you money keep using it until it don't work no more! I am already liking the cordless unit though! No worries about cords coming loose and having to climb up and down scaffold for a loose connection!

Not hating, but how are you able to wear gloves when dealing with screws?
if you work on a building site that's mandatory
@@K.L.A.S but no hi-viz, hard hats, or safety glasses. 🧐🧐
steel stud without gloves is not a good idea
Dimple tip just saved me $160. You da man. Thank you.
First day using this gun and it's a little hard to get used to
wow...look at vince with a tool belt and doing actual construction work...this must of been before he retired 🤣🤣
Don’t tell nobody!!
Make sure your guys don’t leave a big gap between the ceiling and the drywall because at the L bead 😄👍🏼 nice video hi from SA TX
Can you put a square drive on it and use is for subfloor screws?
I want the locking extension sleeve your buddy had
I own the dewalt XR cordless drywall gun love it
I own a dewalt corded drywall gun, it’s never let me down! Great tool!
Dana Hirtle me too, will never go corded again......
Give the strip screw attachment a try. U will love it
Except the motor runs when the trigger is locked, killing the battery way too fast. I’m changing to Milwaukee

Helpful review notes, and being on-location is amazing!
What do you think of the Milwaukee collated attachment?
I haven’t used it, but it would probably speed up the process!!
Yeah. I can’t find any good reviews on it. It would make for a great video. Hint hint. Like you don’t do enough lol.
My man Got 93.3 on the radio! Zeppin it up!

Led Zep in the background: I'll work with you guys any day! :D
yeah buddy!!
I'd like to see them make an attachment for feeding screws like Dewalt has. Makes installing drywall on the ceiling a lot easier.
I’m just here because was curious about the difference between this and a regular screwdriver to hang stuff around the house, but I’m not gunna lie. This guy is very handsome! He’s probably already taken, though. lol
How's it holding up all these years later? Thinking about buying it
Do they make an adapter for collated screws?
Daniel VanRenselaar yes
@@jasonhannsz where can I get it? All my local tool suppliers are saying it isnt in their catalogs.
OG. on the job
Pena a milwaukee não ter uma versão desta screw gun para metal seria óptimo.
Is there much difference between using driver with setter bit vs actual screwgun?
what bit holder was Norman using?, that looked great!... also great video!
Norman is always using some nifty gadget!!
That's an Irwin extension locking bit holder with a regular Philips drywall tip bit
Cool review!! Nice vid vince !
Thanks Paul!

how long do those mechanix gloves hold out
If you treat them good they’ll treat you well! Just be careful with adhesives they’ll jack the gloves up real quick!!
Are you sure you need to pull the trigger in auto mode? I've seen people using it and it starts up without the trigger his by putting pressure on it.
Only if the trigger lock is already engaged.
good evening... what was your final opinion of the cordless milwaukee screw gun!!
Love it, I can’t think of one criticism. I especially like the “Auto on” function to save battery life!
I bought same gun with collated attachment and fixed 4000+ screws with it works like charm. I replaced my Senco duraspin 18v with this and no regrets whatsoever.

Thank you for the information and clarification!!! Intelligence and accent are very attractive!!!! 😏
Can it be used to fastening metal panels into metal purlins?
Hey!! I’m working on this bathroom Vince!!
Can you attach a belt of screws to this model with the auto start?
Collated attachment needed
love how you boys had the rock and roll playing in the background... careful though I had the radio playing in the background at the shop in a couple vids and the got flagged
Yea I usually kill the radio when filming but I just went with it today!
Why don't you use collated screwguns?
Cus they don’t work in the angles and the screws are too expensive. The pros don’t use them. I would inow

How do you remove the bit driver from the drill on this one ?
You just need the one Philips head.

Still lighter than a corded gun but you’re complaining anyway?! God damn it’s not that heavy!
I like your shirt!
Will the drywall dimple bit work on a 12-volt Ridgid
Yes it should, they sell dimple bits that will fit most drills!
Good review however would of liked to of seen it in action not speeded up, with a close up of it driving 👍
I just bought the fuel today but haven’t used it yet. To me it feels awkward but I’m used to the corded DeWalt. What are your thoughts ? Leave a comment

Yes, I can’t see why you shouldn’t be able to. I used to have a corded porter cable drywall gun, probably lasted me 20 years!

How is it on 18 gauge

Didn't show the cone coming off.

As long as it works for you!

Yeah they’re great, for novice homeowners like yourself. Nobody sees guys putting up 100 sheets a day w an impact
Es una copia de Hilti 😱
I want that t shirt 🤣
Love how you talked all about it for 5:43 mins and not once showed us using it. What a waste of a video.

Why u screwin off out of the screw box not a tool belt?
It's not reliable as Dewalt see other videos where guys doing just drywall and they using both guns Milwaukee and Dewalt.
Makita did it first.....
Turn down the music
Are you hiring?
hes wearing gloves
