I have a 2008 with 175,000 miles on it. Was thinking about getting rid of it since I havent been driving it for a while. So i started getting it ready for sale and I remembered why I love this thing. Needless to say its staying again lol.
Honestly I think it was better than all of those. I purchased one after test driving the FJ Cruiser and others. I now have a Ram Rebel. Though I often wonder if I should have got rid of it.
That is incorrect as the FJ didn't come out till 2006. So there was no FJ to even compete with. Xterra debuted in 1999 where it's competition was the 4runner. So the FJ would have been made to compete with the Xterra
Great review! Nicely done. Look forward to seeing more. I have a 2001, a 2002 Xterra, and may own a 2015 4ProX someday! When I do, I may have to sell the other two. I may need some therapy when I do tho.
I love nissan, izusu, and toyota especially the 90s early 2000s 4x4 vehicles they are rugged..me and my brother use to go mudding he had a 89 nissan pathfinder and i have a izusu rodeo 4x4 they are little beast offroaders..ive had it for 17 years now about 300k miles still runing strong,ac blows cold everything still works..best vehicle ive evere owned apart from about 14 vehicles ive owned and sold
I believe the roof has the hump up because the gas tank is under the rear seat and thats how they were to make it so there was head room for the passengers in the back seat. i have a 2003 xterra
Nice review. Good job, young man. As a former 2000 Xterra owner, I can tell you that my baby was nowhere near as nice as the vehicle in your very professional presentation, but I loved her to death, anyway. I just might be looking for another newer Xterra to fill that "void" very soon.
The bumpers are the exact same across the entire range. The only difference is that the fog lights come standard on pro4x. The only external changes for the pro4x are the badges, bigger tires, and roof lights.
@@Joe---2000-2003 have underperforming engines. I bought a 2003 Pro4X new. Totaled in 015. Replaced with last year 015 Pro4X. Still own and love, pamper it. 78K miles.
they are worth it as long as you don't mind the fuel Economy, i have the 2010 pro4x as my daily driver. you can expect to get 200 - 400,000 miles out of it if you take care of it. it is body on frame and not a unibody vehicle so its heavier and higher off the ground. i don't mind the suspension on mine but thats something alot of people upgrade/complain about
Originally, wanted an Xterra Pro 4x but decided on the 2012 Pathfinder instead. Would have loved to have the factory rear locker, and a 3 year newer vehicle, but all in all prefer the size of the 2012 Pathfinder.
@@aliyaimani23 suspension isnt really an issue, its just preference. some people dont like how it feels/handles. it works just fine for me, i have the 2010 pro4x

Just installed 2nd set of new tires, Yokohama Geolander AT tires. Same exterior color in Night Armour. No plans of selling.
Stop telling people 😂 i dont want prices to go up
Prices are already up
Yep ppl have been sleeping on this beautiful thing for years 😂
For the design being over 10 years old it actually still looks so fresh. Timeless design IMO
It's like a reliable LR Discovery
The design is 20 years old now
You should get the commission for the XTerra I just bought. You sold me with this video. Great job!

Love my 2008 Xterra!
The Xterra was actually meant to compete with the FJ cruiser. The 4runner was more in the same class as the Pathfinder.
Honestly I think it was better than all of those.
I purchased one after test driving the FJ Cruiser and others.
I now have a Ram Rebel. Though I often wonder if I should have got rid of it.
FJ blindspot and gimmicky looks along with the no back windows opening were reasons to choose Pro4x for me
Now the Pathfinder competes with the Highlander 💀
That is incorrect as the FJ didn't come out till 2006. So there was no FJ to even compete with. Xterra debuted in 1999 where it's competition was the 4runner. So the FJ would have been made to compete with the Xterra
@anthonyazais3541 the pathfinder was the competitor for the 4runner. Toyota needed something to compete with the Xterra so they came out with the FJ.
My 2015 Pro4-X has 60K miles on it. Nissan want's to buy it for 30K.
Weird, right? But I said no and will continue to hold on to it.

I own one, and love it! I also loved how you talked throughout this whole video man. Appreciate the review. Keep going! This was really good 👍🏻
Great review bro, keep it up! This car’s a hidden gem and a legit alternative to a wrangler

It's kind of weird that people don't pay attention to his vehicle is one of the greatest ever made it looks like a brand new Bronco
the dashboard is perfect ! it’s functional for a 4 wheel drive vehicle
Из всех которые я видел, вот этот дизайн самый красивый 👍🏻👍🏻
Great review. I’ve got a 2011 pro 4x and I love it…except for the brutal fuel economy.
I am getting a consistent 20 mpg combined hwy/road. Still loving my 2011 Pro4X.
@@audie1966 I'm guessing you do mostly highway driving?
Same here, have a 2011 Pro4x with a 2" lift... It's a hog on gas but an off-road tank
It’s bad but at least it has a good bit of power. I’ve driven one before and they’re very responsive to the foot lol

I just bought a 2000 Pathfinder 4x4 with the 3.3 v6, I am loving it and will enjoy it for some time for sure, but this Xterra will be my next upgradw
Я купил Ниссан Хтерра из Америки, эта машина меня заразила, я теперь не могу без неё)))
None of the lights or the roof rack are factory. Why are you saying they came with that stuff when they didnt?

love my pro 4x
IT would be nice to buy the last model year 2015. Then just go thru it, fix what's broken, maintain it, and just have fun with it.

My dad has a 2012 XTerra Pro 4X and it only has 90,000 miles on it. It’s great
I think the rear window shape is another call-out to the old LR Discovery.
Curious as to that roof rack. Any info would be great.
did anyone figure otu what roof rack this was?
Ok he said the rack wasn't stock. This one looks awesome, I don't know why anyone would trade this in.

Whats the best year. Whats a good price for a 2015
Best year of the xterra is the first gen which is 2000 to 2003 second gen will be 2011 to 2015.
Depends on the the mileage. My 2015 pro 4x with 85 000k price range between 12k to 15k now if you buy from a dealer they will rip you off.

Nice video. Too bad Nissan never put the 5.6 in the Xterra, like it did with the Pathfinder in 08-12.
Thank you! I definitely would love if they had done that
The lights are not stock. Neither is the roof rack or those skid plates
My 2008 Xterra off road (Pro4X equivalent) is epic. 33" rubber and a 1" lift made short work of Fins n Things in Moab
I want the seats from this one for my 2008 Off-road
The six speed manual version is the best.
I need this car
does anyone know if this 4.0 engine is on timing belt or chain ???
Chain
