7:50 I don't think Zoro will replace the Sandai. It's far too important to him. This was made clear during the King fight where Zoro finally understood the importance of his blades. Aside from this, Sandai functions as a mirror of Zoro. Sandai was in the bargain bin for cheap despite it being forged by a legendary swordsmith, no one acknowledged it's true value and deemed it a cursed blade despite the fact that, as we find out, swords aren't malicious. Zoro is the only one who recognises it's true value and takes it with him, allowing it to reach new heights. Zoro is found in the "bargain bin" known as the East Blue. Mihawk mentions that the East Blue is the weakest of the 4 blues. While he is relatively famous, he is regarded as demon despite generally being a good person. Luffy is the only one who recognises his true value and brings him along, allowing him to reach new heights that he wouldn't have been able to reach otherwise. This probably explains why Sandai chose Zoro in the first place, since they're kindred spirits in a way.
My only reason I think zoro leaves sandai is because even if it become a black blade it wont reach supreme grade status which i assume zoro is going to have 3 supreme grade status swords by the end of the series. Only Nidai kitetsu is one rank away from supreme and black blades lvl a sword up a grade.
@@user-er1ue6ui8d I can't find the panel rn but im 100% sure it only raises a blade up 1 level which is why oda has zoro with 2 swords behind supreme and 90% sure sandai is getting replaced with a great grade sword
I've always said Zoro is an unwilling conqueror, he's the kind of guy who wont accept a W unless he is 100% sure he earned it. In his fight with King it's out right shown that he limits himself, enma a sword that brings out the best in it's user to the point that if you can't control it your going to die, Kaido acknowledged him as a worthy opponent with C.H but he discredited his own feat against kaido because he thought he could do more, he didn't have a real challenge from when he came back to saobabody and i feel like he purposely limits himself because of his dream, there is no half way or middle with him its either he's the best or he rather dies. Thats what i love about Zoro he dosen't accept anything unless he's assure it'd only make him better. Zoro is a Conqueror but i feel like he didnt truly accepted that until he understood the weight of his swords. I think he'll turn his blades black all at once not one sword at a time because he does it all or nothing
did zoro even defeat king fr. I read the manga and the last thing i remember was him looking at the grim reaper about to die. These fights were rushed ash fr
@@ryanlucht6625 he definitely won the fight, just was close to death after. Personally don't think the reaper thing was anything more than symbolizing that, but wouldn't be mad if it was.
Definitely the fight I'm most looking forward to as well. Can't believe there are some people who think it's not going to happen lol and they have the audacity to say it's because shiryu will beat mihawk instead 💀
@@kenan-b well speak for yourself. Im excited too to see the fight, but Im much more hyped for Dragon, IMU, Shanks, Luffy and Blackbeard and whoever fights who between these 4. As these are all above Zoro's path of beating Mihawk. The height of Swordsmanship is not the height of the OnePiece world. As Mihawk already said regarding Whitebeard alone to Donflamingo: "i want to see the distance between him and us" And the answer to Luffys qurst of becoming pirateking: "that is a title beyond my own" This series isnt called ZoroPiece. Zoro is carrying the Itachi disease. Meaning too many overjoyed fanboys who are blind to the ability of Itachi/Zoro and in the cade of Itachi ended up seeing that there were many character far faaaar more powerful than Itachi in the end of the series.
I'm thinking that Enma has taught Zoro what it needed to teach him, and therefore, it could stay in Wano for Momo to inherit his father's 2 sword style, and Zoro will have 2 Kitetsu's and Wado Ichimonji. The maker of those blades are there to personally bestow them on him after all. Of he could make him a brand new blade to turn black from scratch.
We should all remember that Mihawk said that a broken blade is a disgrace to the swordsman, so I don't think it would make sense for Zoro to lose a sword because that would mean that with all his training, he is still, in a way, a failure because he couldn't keep his blade safe. So I think he will stick with Kitetsu III. On the other hand we don't really know what makes blades gain rank. Tekking brought it up in a recent video and granted it came from magazine which is not a direct quote by Odam but it gave a list of ranked and unranked weapons and Kaido's kanabo was there, but as unranked weapon. A club that is Kaido's weapon of choice, that wistood being wielded by an absolute monster is an unranked blade. The other weird thing is Law's blade that has a name, is a cursed blade and we know that cursed blades are just powerful swords that require certain skills to be used, is an unranked blade. So yeah, I don't see a problem with Zoro wielding Kitetsu III by the end of the series.
@@seiryukaidou It was more along the lines of: 'even' a nicked edge. Meaning that anything below great condition for a sword is a disgrace, so a broken one most certainly falls in that category😂
I think the sandai kitetsu is likely underrated and having it turn black when the shodai kitetsu is not a black blade will be a significant part of the story. Its the "rookie" of the 3 kitetsu swords and for it to surpass the other graded swords will increase its rank possibly up to supreme, similar to a no-name samurai from the east blue becoming the strongest swordsman
I personally believe each blade has its own trigger to make it a black blade. For example, the "Promise" that Zoro made to Kuina to become The strongest swordsman so, Wado Ichimongi will become a black blade when he beats Mihawk. as for Enma, it must have a different trigger to make it black same with Kitatsu it is said every user died, so him surviving death (recent reaper) must be Kitatsu doing rather than Enma. SO I believe each blade becomes black for a different reason.
You just said something actually really interesting! I hadn't seen anyone relate the Reaper to Sandai Kitetsu's curse yet. Seeing that swords seem to almost have a will/consciousness of their own, I wouldn't be surprised if the Reaper was some sort of manifestation from Kitetsu. Maybe that's the beginning of the events that will lead him to turn all 3 swords black, now that we might've seen both Enma's and Kitetsu's wills all in the same fight.
The problem with this is that I think it would make much more sense for Zoro to already have a black sword when fighting Mihawk. It could also be an indication for Mihawk that Zoro is deserving to for him to have a serious fight
Personally, I believe that for Zoro to gain black blades, he has to master conquerors haki. Without the drain and time limit. There have been a lot of references to "taming" your blade. It is what allowed him to use Enma.
To be honest, The only sword I think really matters to Zoro's development as swordsman is Kitetsu III, all the other swords are either given to him or he received it by some means but only time he really took sword was in that shop where he checked his luck against it. Its not that Zoro received it from someone he got it because sword chose not to cut him. We can say that Kitetsu III chose Zoro.
Well....shopkeep DID give it to him for free rather than making him pay so...lol but in all seriousness i get what you're saying, though even though the others were given to him, they were mostly the results of him impressing by proving his mettle, determination and skill anyway
I see your point and i kind of get that importance but I think that Wado Ichimonji is best suited to be the first black blade if there even is an order to what blade becomes black first, because he did promise with that blade to become the strongest and survived his first fight with Mihawk with it as well. Based on the story it would also make a lot of sense for him to either get Wado Ichimonji as his first black blade or he get all three black blades simultaneously
I'm ngl. I've always thought he would need to have all 3 blades already black to fight Mihawk and surpass him since Mihawk has the strongest black blade in the series. I do think beating Mihawk is definitely enough of reward for Zoro. I think Mihawk seeing that all 3 of his baldes are black before they fight would make there interaction b4 the fight so much more interesting too
I think it'll happen midfight vs mihawk. Zoro will find that mihawk's guard is unbreakable, and the only way to beat him is to literally break his guard (his sword) allowing him to land a finishing blow on mihawk. Only way to break mihawk's sword is with all black blades of his own with even more powerful haki imo
Is so misterious and intriguing, the fact that the sword remains black even after the owner dies or just doesnt use it anymore. Considering that oda presented mihawk and his black blade so early in the series i dont expect this mistery to be that complex, i kind find it to be a more mental idea just like most good concepts in swordmanship. Something around the words of, when you master and give yourself and your blade soul the most close to death experience or you really take the last sweat out of it...the blade just happends to reveal his demon in a more physical way (in color black) forever. Actually ashura is a big player here, ashura being wado demon "trying to get out" makes sense. But zoro can only feel the higher dimension of blades when he is so close to death or pushed way too much. Once zoro can easily show ashura-wado demon, then the blade will turn black. As for now, zoro can only go to lower levels of demon blades.
I think it has something to do with conquerors haki. The advanced conquerors allows you to attack without making contact to your target. Maybe black blades are a product of imbuing conquerors haki remotely (without contact) and maybe we learn through shanks exposition at elbaf (as he's presumed to be strongest haki user) and explains to luffy how to use it properly and trains him. In this explanation, maybe shanks explains to zoro that he can sense his strong will and say he's a conqueror and also tells him how to permanently black blade. This could be a fitting solution to the mystery on how luffy and zoro are going to be powered up to face the world government as even morj said, it should take years to forge a black blade. Well, maybe not with shanks. The guy that was worthy enough for mihawk to call an opponent. Surely shanks would know something. The only issue is where does it come in that why shanks doesn't have a black blade. Maybe black blades are tied to your soul and losing an arm disqualifies your ability to make a black blade permanent. That could tie into why Mihawk won't fight him, because its not fair with mihawks sword being perma black and shanks physically can't do it. WE're going to learn a lot about conquerors haki soon, likely all about it, I imagine the voice of all things could give some explanation too. Everything having a breath, a soul. Probably tie into merry having a Klabautermann. Maybe the Klabautermann is born when a group of people with strong wills converge with an object. If trees, rocks and the air have energy/life/soul, then so do normal people (fishman, and all other race alike), maybe its possible for multiple non-conquerors haki to have their energy manifest into a living entity. A Klabautermann. Iceberg said that it's born from a ship that's well cared for. We know that the world of one piece revolves around ships, so it's natural for the well known example is for a Klabautermann to manifest on a ship, that has strong morale, nakama and love. Maybe this extends to swords too and that conquerors haki users can manifest a part of their energy/soul into an entity within the sword, turning it permanently black? damn im high
If Zoro turns all three of his blades black at once, then I think that would establish him as not just the greatest swordsman in the world, but the greatest swordsman to ever live. A title that’s not only fitting for the right hand man of the Pirate King, but also one that would shake the heavens themselves.
Nah would be shitty writing beneath a great like Oda. There already is a prirate king and neither he or his right hand had a Black blade. Would be too much like a shitty fan fiction s8 GoT all over again. He will get one and it will be the wado
@@johnwhick7419 Shitty writing?? What's shitty about it? you just mad and salty because you don't want to see Zoro achieve his goal. Zoro is still a part of the main cast it is no surprise if he able to reach that level what do you mean shitty writing... Roger is mere a legend that Oda used in the story he is not a part of the main cast.
I think the fandom places too much emphasis on sword grades. Mihawk defeated Zoro with a pen knife, definitively proving that it's the user not the sword that matters.
@@alejandro.rodarte If "any" blade can do it doesnt that mean that Mihawk could eventually come after Zoro with a black pen knife? That would be the single greatest moment in One Piece history.
Also I really don't like how people want Zoro to simply switch out his swords when he sees one that's "stronger"...obviously he won't swap out Wado Ichomonji for any reason, but he clearly formed a bond with Sandai Kitetsu ever since he iconically gambled his fate against his arm. The Yubashiri was arguably the least important one and even then Zoro was clearly sad for it's loss and he even respectfully buried it. What I'm saying is a swordsman is expected to have a lot of loyalty for his swords, and I think it's foolish to assume Zoro would just abandon them unless they break...I only accepted him giving away Shusui because I see it as "it didn't belong to him" and he brought it back to his master's grave (despite his remains not being there but whatever)
Agreed. I think turning a blade black is something the swordsman does. It's a reflection of the swordsman's strength. It could be about any blade at all.
I think it's interesting zoro specifically said to king: "I'll bite your throat if I have to in order to win" then the fight proceeds to show how Zoro cares about his swords more than the fight. If he bit his opponent, he would drop the Wado Ichimonji. Just a neat thought that will probably lead nowhere.
I count also Killer as a serious opponent for him in Wano, sure both were nerfed to make the fight short but the message of them being quite close was clear.
It's my theory/hope/headcannon that a black blade is achieved when you stain your blade with you haki through either prolonged use, or overcoming an appointment with stronger Haki through skill.
It can't be staining your blade with haki. Roger, Oden, Rayleigh, and Shanks have all been using haki on their blades for decades. It's their main fighting style, yet none have black blades.
@@Shark-hn4mv I think Oda put himself in an odd predicament by only having Mihawk and Ryuma with black blades. Even if you were to say something absurd like Roger, Rayleigh, and Shanks not being swordsmen when they obviously are, Oden was a samurai and had Enma(completely mastered, at that) for at least 2 decades.
On the 0.0001% chance that Mihawk would die from his duel with Zoro (or dies to something else afterwards), I would like if Zoro brought Mihawk's sword to Ippon Matsu as an apology for losing Matsu's family heirloom sword.
Storywise, the fact that he gave up Shusui (a black blade) must be some sort of soft retcon that prepares Zoro to turn all three of his swords black. Had it remained with him, it wouldn't have been possible.
I hope he keeps sandei kitetsu, since it was a very badass move when he threw it into the air and put his arm out. If anything I hope he gives enma back.
I hope he gives enma back and takes a new blade forged specifically for him by the guy that made kitetsu and calls it kitetsu prime or something or maybe a new name or just takes kitetsu 2
I feel like if the fight with Mihawk isn't what being out Zoro's true potential, it'll be the fight with Shiryu, the underhanded warden with his newly acquired invisibility fruit. Utilizing all forms of haki in order to defeat an invisible opponent might be the push his blades need to become truly Black Blades, the highest of the high tiers.
I think that gaining black blades is the pre requisite for their rematch personally. Mihawk said something akin to him being disappointed in zero for grovelling to him for training and I don't believe mihawk would accept a match until zoro has regained his respect ie turning his blades black.
I can't still wrapped my head around that 'Black Blade' could potentially just swords that got coated with haki so many times, the haki 'residue' lingers forever
I think it's more complicated than it seems..turning your blades black must be something that maybe is achievable by many but out of those "many" only a few can fully master this ability..Mihawk is definitely a master of black blades and i feel like it will take a lot more for zoro to defeat him than just turning his blades black..although the first time zoro will turn his blades black is going to give an seriously big power up but i don't know if it will happen in his future fight with mihawk
The way One Piece is going i feel like the duel between Zoro and Mihawk will just be a generic run at each other, slash, and wait to see who got cut, fight ends, credits roll, and then cry into pillow in disappointment.
My predictions : 1.Ace has a child with makino 2.Gian Prince Loki is the final Ancient Weapon to b revealed 3.If Tokis has te power to teleported to future but not backwards, Then someone has the power to go back into the past, but can't return to the future. 4.How can Shanks move soo fast? 9:00 sorry since when has Shodai Kitetsu been confirmed as in the posession of that Elder? Vol.2 of the Road to Laughtale even referred to it as "wielder unknown" and just showed a picture of that weapons' shop guy talking about the cursed blades.
I think Zoro will defeat Shiryu before Mihawk which might upgrade two of the swords to Enma's grade level. Then he can turn all three BLACK later on like you said at the same time.
I wished Zoro would leave Enma behind and just get HIS OWN sword. He has been borrowing swords from others throughout the entire story. I think its time that he gets his own sword. Sukiyaki is a wordsmith, I think he can make a new sword for Zoro. Oh, well.
I think when he dies if he keeps all of his swords then they will all be known as the legendary WSS swords. Not odens sword or kuinas sword, zoros swords.
I see what you mean and it would definitely be awesome to see a blade being forged specifically for him, but at the same time it seems like the whole point of infusing a sword with Conqueror's Haki is that this process *makes* the sword his own. He literally conquers the blade and turns it into his. So for example no one would be addressing Enma as Oden's sword after it turns permanently black with Zoro. It'd be Zoro's sword and probably be buried with him just like Ryuma's.
Wado Ichimonji is his sword though. It perfectly represents their rivalry of Kuina and him merging her dream with his. If anything, i do hope that it will be his one main sword in his final fight in achieving his dream
@@userusernomi I see what you mean but I don't see it as that. Oden will forever be part of Enma's history for example. It doesn't matter if Zoro turns it black, the sword already achieved legendary status thanks to Oden. The same with Wado just because of who made it. I would love if Zoro could give a sword a legend of his own.
@@username-ql8ox Still, it belonged to someone before him. I want Zoro to have his own sword, made for him and him only. Like when Hattori Hanzo makes a sword especially for The Bride in Kill Bill.
ooooh! or just one or two of them! the others following when Zoro surpases challenges that even Mihawk couldn't do, Like Slicing Diamond or some other thing
For me it also doesn't makes sense for those moments to be separate. I believe that in the fight with Mihawk he will awaken the blades while developing his conquerors haki. That's when he will finally be able to beat him. I can already see the smirk Mihawk will do when that happens hahaha
If Zoro does get three black blades, it would also make him the greatest swordsman possible, given how ridiculous it is to fight with more than two swords. And yes, I do remember Hachi (?), but I see the point as being that a ridiculous style like three swords or more will never chosen by a great swordsman - - - except once.
Personally i think Enma will turn black first and seeing it trigger Mihawk to finally acknowledge Zoro as ready to duel him. With the other 2 turning black during or after the battle as the dreams associated with Wado and Kotetsu will be realized then.
My belief is that forging a black blade would be like awakening a devil fruit. A devil fruit is awakened when it's user's body and mind is finally able to harness the true nature of his/her devil fruit, it could be the same for Forging a black blade, probably there is some type of spiritual connection/link/bond between the swordsman and his blade in order to permanently blacken it.. The zoan devil fruit has a mind of its own, just like a cursed blade also has a mind of it's own and it often chooses who wields it.
I also believe that conquerors haki might play a role in this, it's the will of a king I also believe that you can't be the "strongest" or "sit at the top" without possessing the disposition of a king or a conqueror. The only two confirmed people to have a black blade are Ryuma(The sword god) and Mihawk, I believe both these characters are conquerors, Mihawk dueled shanks who is an advanced conquerors haki user. I think a blade can remain permanently black as long as it's wielder instills his own will in it.
What is when zoro saw the grim reaper he went to the zanpakto realm and already turned enma black, or maybe he gets the nidai kitetsu at the end of wano it was heavily foreshadowed and enma isn’t technically his and kind’ve serve zoro as trading his haki , maybe after he finds out green bull is his brother, green vs green ya know what I mean.
Kitetsu gets plot armour. Turns into a black blade then zoro battles in the final war and turns his blade white. Increases the ranking again but at a detrimental price
Here is a list of intrigue.... 1.A mention of who could end up with these devil fruits. 2.Vega Punk said its a failure because he doesn't know if it'll reappear upon death. 3.Shanks is leader of SWORD. 4.Kuzan is a revolutionary. 5.Coby and Boa are aligned secretly. -thanks to Sabo and Vivi. To be honest I hope that before Zoro fights Mihawk he would already achieve all 3 styles of black blades. That way when Mihawk vs Zoro finally have their fight they'll would both be considered equals in the ways of the Black Blade just a slight difference of Mihawk having more experience than Zoro. Also, i hope that before the absolute very final World War battle of the story The Strawhat Crew will already be known as the king of the Pirates
The dream of Ippon Matsu thing is convincing enough to me. I think the Sandai gets there. Maybe Zoro goes a step beyond turning a blade black. So much of the series is about surpassing the past. Maybe he turns them all white and they all become Supreme Grade swords. Luffy's strongest form is pure white, other power ups in the series have been associated with the color white, it's just a thought.
The thought did cross my mind too plus zoro hates black things if his opponents are anything to judge by lol jk I don't actually think he's racist lmao
Honestly not many of the graded weapons in general have been seen in action or even at all.. like of those 50 that there is stated we haven't seen even 20 of them I think.. or am I just tripping.. hopefully this final arc isn't rushed in any ways and we really do get ALL the answers
So a few conqueror users have blades or weapons but dont turn them black , i think to turn a blade black you give up your haki to a blade which only a true swordsman would do because the blade is an extension of themselves
Man I hope his fight with Mihawk gets bloody. Like limbs getting chopped off bloody… Would be interesting if Oda had Mihawk lose an arm just like his old rival Shanks who he talks down on because he also lost an arm.
To be honest I like the idea of Zoro losing both Sandai Kitetsu and Enma and becoming World Strongest Swordsman with just Wado Ichimonji and 2 nameless Blades that he turns Black. I just feel like the important factor is Zoro and not his blades. It would also parallel the first time they fought and even call back to Mihawk declaring that any blade can become Yoru.
10:15 We might get a scene where Zoro parallels Zoro. The Celestial Dragon thinking the sword will bring him any victory due to its rank. Zoro only using the supposed weaker version. The blade he wields should be much weaker however he defeats the Gorosei member with ease such as when Zoro was defeated by Mihawk
Oda answered in an SBS that by the age of 40 Zoro will be a 4-sword style and by the age of 60 he'll be a 5-sword style user so he eventually needs to collect other swords and that's something I always hoped even before the SBS answer
I don't believe that a swordsman has to have any sort of time with or special connection to a sword to turn it black. I think it's likely that the power is solely within the wielder, to turn any blade they wield black. The only reason that we have so few is because 1) it's so rare to have the ability, and (2) there's no reason for someone capable of turning blades black to make any more of them than they need.
Haki infused blades is like super saiyan. Conquerors haki infused blades is like that strong but imperfect form that Trunks had Black blades are like super saiyan 2. Effortlessly and always black (saiyan mode).
The question is how do we want the Mohawk Zoro fight to go down. I think it would be cool to see the straw hats watching in the distance and getting some of their reactions
I was also thinking about all of his blades being black at the same time because if you can make one of your blade turn black then you should be able to turn other black too, but upon further thinking it may not be that simple. If it were that easy Mihawk could have made more black blades even his butter knife that he used against Zoro. There is probably more to it maybe if you cut enough people the iron in their blood infuses with the iron and oxidizes which should make it brown but when hakis and other things get involved it gets turned to white.
Can someone share the chapters that were displayed in the video? I must have missed where zoro realized to use conqueror’s haki with his blades. I want to go back and reread
I do believe that the Sandai will be traded or broken by the end of the arc, then the Nidai Kitetsu becomes available as a O Wazamono. This would lead to all O Wazamono turning black and becoming Saijo O Wazamono.
I think it'd be cool if wano made him a new sword specifically for him to honor him as a swordsman that protected their country and maybe greenbull breaks kitetsu
I think there's something we don't know yet about turning a blade black because if happened just from fighting strong guys Roger Whitebeard Oden Shanks would have them
It would be interesting for Zoro to return a black-turned Sandai Kitetsu to Ippon Matsu. He might even get a different blade after that. But keep in mind that the Kitetsu's skip a grade, and if Zoro turns Kitetsu black, then they no longer skip a grade.
I feel that to obtain a black blade, you need to have your buso haki at the top level. Since buso haki coating is the one that makes your sword black, it has to be top tier to make your sword black permanently. This means that roger, wb, rayleigh, and shanks does not have top tier buso haki since their swords aint black. Many will argue with me but this is my prediction.
MORJ, how hard it will be for Zoro to concentrate his Haki in three different Swords at the same time ro make them black where as all known black blades were only swords of their users. Like ryuma, mihawk, etc.
7:50 I don't think Zoro will replace the Sandai. It's far too important to him. This was made clear during the King fight where Zoro finally understood the importance of his blades. Aside from this, Sandai functions as a mirror of Zoro.

As these are all above Zoro's path of beating Mihawk. The height of Swordsmanship is not the height of the OnePiece world.
As Mihawk already said regarding Whitebeard alone to Donflamingo: "i want to see the distance between him and us"
And the answer to Luffys qurst of becoming pirateking: "that is a title beyond my own"
This series isnt called ZoroPiece.

I was thinking kitetsu zero 🤔 or kitetsu prime it could be greenbull breaks kitetsu 3
I wouldn’t mind Zoro leaving Enma in Wano
He didnt say broken blade. He said something like nicked edge
Turning your blade black only increases its rank by one, so it would just be the same quality as Yubashiri when black
@@koga477 where is that stated?
I personally believe each blade has its own trigger to make it a black blade. For example, the "Promise" that Zoro made to Kuina to become The strongest swordsman so, Wado Ichimongi will become a black blade when he beats Mihawk.
as for Enma, it must have a different trigger to make it black
same with Kitatsu it is said every user died, so him surviving death (recent reaper) must be Kitatsu doing rather than Enma.
So you need only reasons to turn a blade into blackblade no advance armament haki?
seems very complicated and specific, but i don't mind
Good idea
@@webpaygrowearn8739 not like that, Haki is essential however the potency and skill is not enough to turn the blade black is what I mean.
This also goes In hand with the will of swords, this might be really close
The problem with this is that I think it would make much more sense for Zoro to already have a black sword when fighting Mihawk. It could also be an indication for Mihawk that Zoro is deserving to for him to have a serious fight
Agreed
Agree man Zoro gotta atleast have one to fight Mihawk
Personally, I believe that for Zoro to gain black blades, he has to master conquerors haki. Without the drain and time limit. There have been a lot of references to "taming" your blade. It is what allowed him to use Enma.
Nah you need something else to gain black blade
Lmao nah

No. Just no.
@@sirlagsalot8474 facts
Wado will be the first one to become black blade
I'm ngl. I've always thought he would need to have all 3 blades already black to fight Mihawk and surpass him since Mihawk has the strongest black blade in the series. I do think beating Mihawk is definitely enough of reward for Zoro. I think Mihawk seeing that all 3 of his baldes are black before they fight would make there interaction b4 the fight so much more interesting too
I don’t think mihawk is his final opponent, gorosei swordsman probably is. Maybe 1 black blade for mihawk, 2 for shiryu, 3 for gorosei ?
Once you go black you never go back.
If Zoro turns all three of his blades black at once, then I think that would establish him as not just the greatest swordsman in the world, but the greatest swordsman to ever live. A title that’s not only fitting for the right hand man of the Pirate King, but also one that would shake the heavens themselves.
Indeed.
Nah would be shitty writing beneath a great like Oda. There already is a prirate king and neither he or his right hand had a Black blade. Would be too much like a shitty fan fiction s8 GoT all over again. He will get one and it will be the wado

@@johnwhick7419 Oda hasn't been great in a long time. Wake up.
I wish Oda would have included more swordsmen who were going after the same goal as him.
I think the fandom places too much emphasis on sword grades. Mihawk defeated Zoro with a pen knife, definitively proving that it's the user not the sword that matters.
Exactly. At the start of the series Mihawk said that every sword can become the Black Blade.
You know, that's a good point... Unless we find out that knife is Supreme grade or higher...

Fight between two swordsmen is supposed to be very short
@@Shark-hn4mv yes but they're also all super busted so thier fights only last minute

On the 0.0001% chance that Mihawk would die from his duel with Zoro (or dies to something else afterwards), I would like if Zoro brought Mihawk's sword to Ippon Matsu as an apology for losing Matsu's family heirloom sword.
Maybe the trigger to turn a blade black is similar to awakening a devil fruit, where you need to align your will (haki) with the will of your sword
Morj: Zoro only got one duel against a decently strong opponent.
Killer: ...well, here I go killing again!
Mihawk said something akin to him being disappointed in zero for grovelling to him for training and I don't believe mihawk would accept a match until zoro has regained his respect ie turning his blades black.
the nidai kitetsu bait n switch on wano will hurt my soul forever
I can't still wrapped my head around that 'Black Blade' could potentially just swords that got coated with haki so many times, the haki 'residue' lingers forever

"Before the series ends"
Oda: "This is the end of backstory"
Makes sense. Considering Luffy only got CoC and became Yonko tier DURING his fight with Kaido.
Great video morj. Cool music fitting the theme, good pacing of speech, nice structure.
I hope we can get some more story analysis from Morj about One Piece or even another series
Wonder if dead man's game was a foreshadowing of Zoro and the reaper. The playing chess with death is a popular trope, like bill and Ted
The way One Piece is going i feel like the duel between Zoro and Mihawk will just be a generic run at each other, slash, and wait to see who got cut, fight ends, credits roll, and then cry into pillow in disappointment.

What if Zoro's final sword is all Kitetsu blades reforged into one? That would be pretty epic.
The same with Wado just because of who made it.

ooooh! or just one or two of them! the others following when Zoro surpases challenges that even Mihawk couldn't do, Like Slicing Diamond or some other thing
For me it also doesn't makes sense for those moments to be separate. I believe that in the fight with Mihawk he will awaken the blades while developing his conquerors haki. That's when he will finally be able to beat him. I can already see the smirk Mihawk will do when that happens hahaha
Why couldn't Roger turn Ace black? I think black blades are forged by fulfilling the will of the blades!
If Zoro doesn't have AT LEAST one black blade before his fight with Mihawk, I will be severely disappointed.
I'm always looking forward to his videos they are the highlights of my week
I think the shopkeeper gave zoro in loguetown was yubashiri as a passing of his dreams
Morj using the Zoro algorithm boost.
Personally i think Enma will turn black first and seeing it trigger Mihawk to finally acknowledge Zoro as ready to duel him. With the other 2 turning black during or after the battle as the dreams associated with Wado and Kotetsu will be realized then.
I think it would be cool if when Zoro turns Sandai Kitetsu black, it bumps up multiple grades
Now THIS is a theory.. none of that raid fail bullshit

Morj got tired of cooking Hello Fresh
Where did he get the information? Shodai Kitetsu being in Gorosei's possession? @9:07
The dream of Ippon Matsu thing is convincing enough to me. I think the Sandai gets there. Maybe Zoro goes a step beyond turning a blade black. So much of the series is about surpassing the past. Maybe he turns them all white and they all become Supreme Grade swords. Luffy's strongest form is pure white, other power ups in the series have been associated with the color white, it's just a thought.
head canon level: dbz
The thought did cross my mind too plus zoro hates black things if his opponents are anything to judge by lol jk I don't actually think he's racist lmao
What are we basing the idea that a sword can turn into a black blade on? All I remember is Mihawk explaining armament haki to Zoro.
But Oda confirmed in road to laughtale volume 2 that both roger’s sword and white beard‘a naginata were also black blades
Im surprised that shanks, whitebeard, and roger haven't had black blades. I might be forgetting others who have swords

Oda answered in an SBS that by the age of 40 Zoro will be a 4-sword style and by the age of 60 he'll be a 5-sword style user so he eventually needs to collect other swords and that's something I always hoped even before the SBS answer
I think only wado ichimonji is gonna be his only black blade he’s didn’t his whole life with it and really had a real connection with it
6:00 idk if conq haki infusion splits the sky then why can big mom? We never seen her do it
I don't believe that a swordsman has to have any sort of time with or special connection to a sword to turn it black.
Conquerors haki infused blades is like that strong but imperfect form that Trunks had
Black blades are like super saiyan 2. Effortlessly and always black (saiyan mode).
In dramatic fashion Zoro actually turns is swords white and Oda finally confirms that Zoro is indeed a racist
The question is how do we want the Mohawk Zoro fight to go down. I think it would be cool to see the straw hats watching in the distance and getting some of their reactions
I think hell make them black right before or in the middle of the final attack clash to decide the victor
i think it's gonna be all 3 at once or at the very least 1 by 1 in the same fight
next hes gonna be sponsored by an IV meal delivery subscription service :D
Maybe getting a black blade has something to do with defeating a certain amount of graded swords or something
Morj: Zoro is defeating Mihawk who has the STRONGEST BLACK SWORD with 2 skillful grade sword
Can someone share the chapters that were displayed in the video? I must have missed where zoro realized to use conqueror’s haki with his blades. I want to go back and reread
damn morj really switched up on sponsors like that
I do believe that the Sandai will be traded or broken by the end of the arc, then the Nidai Kitetsu becomes available as a O Wazamono. This would lead to all O Wazamono turning black and becoming Saijo O Wazamono.
I think it'd be cool if wano made him a new sword specifically for him to honor him as a swordsman that protected their country and maybe greenbull breaks kitetsu
I think the trick is that he has to stand on the neck of the sword. That's the only way to turn the sword black.
I think once a blade becomes a black blade it doesn't really matter what grade it previously was
Why DOESNT Ippon Matsu’s dream matter??? A man’s dream NEVER dies.
