@RedneckSpaceMan Lol, sure Ace wasn't maybe the most "technical" of the lead players that followed him, but if you think for a second that he didn't make a bigger and more well loved impact than anybody who replaced him (least of which that talent leach Thayer), than you're a sad deluded fool.
Without ACE there would have never been KISS. He was by far the most talented musician of the original 4 and the only one to have any sort of a music career outside the band, successful solo album, etc. KISS ended when ACE left.
@@MarcusFenix50 agreed. Ace had the most talent and was the most beloved, the one eared drag queen bipolar lip-syncer was the least. he knows it so has to talk shit. Talented and loved people dont have to talkshit, Paul obviously does.
Paul admits some wrongdoing but he’s clearly the guy who pulled KISS to the finish line after 50 years. Gene got involved in other things and became less interested in KISS for long periods of time. Ace and Peter self-destructed more than once.
@ Ace and Tommy are both very talented men. In fact everyone who has ever been a member of KISS has been very talented. It's a shame they can't get along better. A couple years ago I attended a FOREIGNER concert and the surprise twist was half way through the show every exmember of FOREIGNER came out on stage and the new and old members all played together. They obviously had to rehearse it for quite awhile and they respected each other and all got along quite well. It was an amazing show. I wish that KISS could do the same but I'm sure it will never happen. Every member new and old of KISS feels that they are more important than they really are. I do feel that Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer both should have been given different makeup schemes instead of being space man and cat man. Those should have been left for Ace and Peter. Tommy and Eric are both talented and unique and deserve unique outfits. As it is they appear to be imposters instead or their own beings.
Paul painted himself as a saint? That’s ridiculous! Did you even READ his book? I thought he was open and honest and in my experience when people are open and honest others usually don’t like it so they lash out with ridiculous shit.
Imagine the legacy these guys would've created if the band completely broke up after the early eighties, and never reformed. Less is always more kids. Sadly, Paul and Gene still don't want to leave a party that ended 25 years ago.
Amen. I was a die-hard kiss fan from 1973 to 1979. Since then they have stepped on s*** on set fire to buried and then s*** on again any hope of having a decent Legacy. It's ironic because when I was listening to kiss as a high schooler everyone thought they were a joke and stupid. They have become what everybody thought they were to begin with even though they kicked ass in the 70s
I call total BS to that. 80’s Kiss is hugely underrated and as much a part of my high school life soundtrack as 70’s Kiss was to those who grew up in that era. And I went to two of the 90’s They had five consecutive platinum albums for 1983 to 1989. I went to reunion shows in ‘97 and 2000. It was a hell of a good time, and millions of others enjoyed it as well.
@@Alkaline87That I will agree to. 80’s Kiss is underrated and well worth existing, and the ‘96-98 reunion tour was a blast. The problem isPsycho Circus was a horrible album, and the Farewell Tour should have been the real farewell. It was still fun to go to the show on that tour, but they were clearly running on fumes even then.
Not really. I just saw them two nights ago and I heard a bunch of backing vocals that on,y one guy could not be singing. At least Paul wasn’t lip syncing that night.
I believe they should of called it quits after the re-union tour & go out on top. But of course Paul & Gene saw $$$$ signs and wanted to keep milking it, even with 2 substitutes to make up Piss, I mean Kiss.....lmfao
As an old school kiss fan ,or as I should say ex kiss fan , gene and Paul should just except the fact they aren't the fact the whole band What's left is almost kiss, gene and Paul are just legends in there own mind
No dude your wrong. I know both Gene and Paul play this cocky kinda personality. Though they, are not like that in real life. They were thr brains behind this great band. I liked Ace and Peter too. But Gena and Paul founded the group, wrote all the great songs and made the business deals. That's a fact Jack!!!
actually, yes they are the whole band, they created it, made the decisions, and kept the band moving forward, while certain other members partied and frittered away their money and opportunities. Gene and Paul also hold the bulk of the financial dealings and actual money. In short, youre as wrong as wrong can be....
@ubb262s You think, Paul and Gene are just legends only in their OWN mind? Why then all the people want to enjoy their concerts? Lots and lots of people!
The reunion of the four originals in 1996, made what Kiss have become and where it is now, if not reunion, probably kiss play gigs in clubs or just no Kiss anymore, cause Kiss before the reunion, the 90’ was hard for Kiss as for the others bands
I love how Paul gives ZERO credit to the fact that if it wasn't for Ace and Peter rejoining KISS in 1996 that he would still be playing Convention Halls. Keep bashing the two guys that made it possible for you to have all you have today.
It feels to me like Paul is extra angry because Ace and Peter (especially Peter) helped bring about the massively successful reunion, only to mess things up all over again.
I don't think that Paul is extra angry for that reason. I've read his biography, and he said that he was pretty euphoric when they found Ace and Peter at the beginning (even if Peter wasn't very competent). After so many years, he probably got fed up with Peter's antics. Regarding the "two guys that made it possible", I think this definition fits more for Paul and Gene. There was a moment in the history of the band in which the only two that were struggling to keep KISS floating were Paul and Gene. Ace and Peter didn't seem to care. I don't think that Paul has to give credit to Peter for the success... it's more like that Peter has to give credit to Paul for becoming famous. He was a mediocre drummer, and if it hadn't been for his years-long permanence in KISS, he would have probably gone unnoticed among the crowd of the many mediocre drummers out there.
Been watching them from the 70s, and been to 3 concerts live. Ace couldn’t hold up to Paul’s energy. The only thing he stole was money from people who paid good money to watch him. I was one of them. No worries; Gene and Paul stole the show.
Now adays the words “Farewell Tour” means nothing, much like the term “Unlimited data” in respects to “cellular service” just another case of say whatever you need to sell more of whatever your hawking!!
And Gene has made enough enemies that no one wants to give him any of their hard earned money anymore because "We need to worship" him because he is rich.
So now it's Aerosmith's fault that Peter was in the band. Dear God. So much for Paul being the leader of the band. Apparently other bands can dictate who plays in "his" band. That's pretty pathetic.
i love kiss but cant stand gene or paul. having said that aerosmith was pretty much saying if you get three of the original guys we'll do a tour together. if not we wont. an aerosmith tour is big money. they didnt want to pass that buy.
Which pretty much speaks to how dependent they still were to the financial realities of their lives. Stanley was getting wiped out by a divorce so he had to reconstitute KISS and go back out there. That is the truth of what drove him. Not Aerosmith making him. He was going back on hard times and he knew he had to do whatever it took. This is where he should be thanking Peter because if he had said no, Paul was screwed.
Rick Baker - how do you know paul was going through a financially tough divorce? peter was broke as was ace. Gene was doing ok but million dollar paydays were pretty much ver for him too. they all needed the reunion. why cant they just admit that?
If mr. Frehley we're SO good AND unique, he should've the Ozzy in the guitar World, but not, he Is only known in a spot of the hard/heavy music.....because His works dragged in a mediocre and repetitive sound AND Riff.
Peters drums was the only thing on Alive 1 that was not overdubbed in the studio. All the vocals were, all Paul's guitar was, all Gene's bass, and at least some of Aces guitar was. But none of the drum's at all.
What's there to listen to? It's the same old same old Paul: Everyone and everything else is the problem with KISS and my life...not me. The quintessential victim...yawn....really low rent and old hat.
I'm not taking any sides on this issue. But Paul does have a very, very strong work ethic that often gets misunderstood. KISS has to be all 4 tires operating at the same speed. And if one or two blow out, they have to be replaced. It's a drag that negativity overshadows the good and you can only put up with it for so long. I never cared much for Gene and Paul for their egos. But I understand the longevity work ethic they've sustained. It may not be everyone's cup of tea. I miss Ace and Peter. But both have a reputation for not giving over 110% sometimes. "The show must go on". Really hurts they can't get it together as the original four.
For a man who never did drugs or got involved with alcohol.. Paul... well... He needs a shirt that says "I Love Being Bi-Polar.. It Sucks! " Give me a break talking head....
In 1986 or saw saw Kiss in concert. Paul Stanley came out so loaded he had trouble staying on the stage and he sure as hell couldn't play. Roadies hauled him off and got him sobered up after 3 songs. Yeah Mr don't drink or do drugs.
@My Opinion Where does he once blame himself in his book? He even complains that "his father never told him he was good looking." FFS, he even exposes his sister's psychiatric problems, which was absolutely not necessary... and talking about Bill Aucoin "supposedly" being with an underage boy when he is not alive to defend himself? Tasteless. Never once does he say "I really fucked that up." He doesn't even confess that HIS Psychiatrist that HE HIMSELF decided to hire for KISS's management ran off with MILLIONS of their money, never to be seen again. He was sure to bring up the Psych when he could use it to prove to Gene that Polygram was supposedly "ripping them off," but he failed to mention the millions his Dr. straight up stole from them.

I love KISS for over 30 years. When Paul and Gene decide to go, if he says it is bigger than any one member, have them start fresh with new members and new makeup. Obviously they would reap the benefits($$) and possibly inject new life into the group. From a marketing standpoint, it would be considered rebranding.
Lol the ramones were destined to be a total failure after there first 4 albums I still laugh at how any of there stuff save maybe a couple of albums were considered punk they were really just a pop band with complete assholes as band members not to mention being run by a nazi and a racist

I always thought that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were full of themselves. But they have helmed a rock n' roll empire that has lasted 48 years, and they did it by making good decisions. Like firing Peter Criss in 2004. Just because one is full of themselves doesn't mean they are wrong.

Ace had a huge drinking problem and wasn't reliable anymore, Peter was fired, he was spoiled by the excess of his rock n roll lifestyle, drugs, money, women, and started to care less about the music, as well as not practicing his craft the drums and his ability left him. For those of you that rant about Paul and Gene being wrong for firing these two, if you ran a company and had bad employees that were doing harm too it, wouldn't you fire them also? I know I would. It's a business and has to be operated like one.
listen to the end of the video. he is talking about Peter, but REALLY is describing himself...lol. "...whose agenda was resolutely negative. Someone who seemed intent on sabotaging everyone and everything around him. And then blaming everyone but himself. F that!"
James Rudd I met Peter at a book signing in 2012 and it was a delightful experience. He was in very good spirits, smiling, joking, even busted my chops a bit when I went up to him. I had a great time meeting him. And fuck off with ‘he’s a terrible drummer’. No he’s not. Mediocre, sloppy?? Perhaps. Shitty? No. Peter had many moments back in the day of displaying some cool drumming skills. Do I admit it gradually deteriorated with drugs and by the 1990s he basically gave up and was never able to recapture some of what made him a good drummer in the early days?? Yes I do. But I will never bring myself to say he’s a shitty drummer because I don’t see him that way. If he was all around shitty he would have never been in that band. Kiss may not be classic virtuosos but they are not shitty. But you’ll rant about how you can teach an 8 year old to play Kiss and make it like you have a definitive opinion that should be accepted. While I’ve never even heard of you outside of the comment sections on RUclips so I really don’t have to take your opinion on anything. Paul's blaming has gotten so old. He should be grateful for being able to accomplish what he has and stop all the petty bullshit. Ace and Peter are just as much important as the success of KISS as Gene and Paul. They built this machine together. Just give credit where credit is due.
Gene and Paul built Kiss. Ace and Peter went along for the ride. Any and all claims that the latter were even remotely as important to Kiss as the former, is ludicrous. The great irony here is, that the reason so many people believe that Ace and Peter meant as much as Paul and Gene, is that it was Paul and Gene who led them to believe this very thing. But it was not true then, and it's not true now. In any and all respects, Kiss was, is and will always be Paul and Gene. Simple as that. End of discussion.
@@erikthompson619 On one hand I completely agree. On the other hand , Ace and Peter, were always the fan favorites. I am sure on some level, that eats at Gene and Paul. Ace and Peter, have been terribly unprofessional over the years. @@erikthompson619I’m no fan of kiss, but they had a special chemistry early on. Gene and Paul wrote the material but they had a fitting enough background. Accept defective personalities exist and they should be doing something else not aggregating hard working people
Can't blame Paul at all for being annoyed at two immature drug and alcohol addicts like Ace and Peter. These two were problems almost from when the band started in the 70's. Still will always love the original lineup and you can't change that but obviously these two had issues. Not a coincidence that Paul and Gene have never had anything bad to say about Tommy and Eric. If you were Paul or Gene, how much can't you handle before you've had enough? Sad thing is Peter and Ace were both given second chances in the band and both messed up a second time.
I'm glad someone said this, because there are far too many "KISS fans" out there who hate Paul & Gene. Respectfully to Gene and everyone else who has ever been part of KISS, only one person has remained 100% committed to the band from Day One, and that person is Paul Stanley.
How true your comment is. I love the original line up just as much as everyone else, but Paul and Gene did what they had to do to keep the band alive. Everyone bitching and moaning for years now about Ace and Peter not being in the band anymore. The only two original members still in the band just so happen to be the hardest working ones. Then you have idiots saying, oh, they're all about the money. Well who the hell isn't when they go to work?
@@donkrouskop1582 not only that, Paul's voice has always been the best thing about KISS, and is the only part of KISS that is truly considered "great," as most everyone else's talent in KISS was always middle of the pack with some exceptions such as Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer. So while Paul does seem to be somewhat of a pompous douche who loves the sound of his own voice, ironically his voice has always carried KISS in my opinion.
"Peter's demands were absurd" ...like expecting to be paid as much as the other members. Paul Stanley and Neil Schon should start a band and write songs with titles like, "It's everyone elses fault but mine" and "Now give me your money"
The headline is incorrect. Peter was fired only once -- in 1980 after "Unmasked". Peter quit the band of his own accord in 2000. In 2003, his contract expired and they didn't renew it. That's not the same thing as being fired.
Best Kiss lineup according to my set of taste was when Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer were in the band, the Revenge Era. And then of course, the original line up of the 70's before it all went down the drain.
I went to the Tampa concert few days ago. I kept hearing so many things about the band and how Pauls voice was shot. Well I will tell you it was all bullshit. They did NOT use voice tracks It was fukin unbelievable. the show was better than I have seen since the younger years. Paul was fukin jacked his arms were cut and looking good and huge you can tell he took this seriously and is working out. Gene voice was sick! Sounded the same and better! the light show and the pyro was fukin unbelievable. I am glad I went and we had floor seats. Kizz fukin went above and beyond our expectations. me and my brother kept saying how awesome the show was. I bought a program and a shirt. the program is fukin so cool. they have all pics from beginning of the band with every member to the last. THE CONCERT AND SHIRT AND PROGRAM WERE WORTH EVERY PENNY. I get to say I saw the original kizz when I was 10 and got to see them for the last time at 48. Thank you kizz for the memories and cool music. If I were you people I would go before its to late because this is really it.
Chris Gordon I know, right? Bands change members all the time! When someone leaves, they either call it quits or carry on. That said, Paul Stanley is a big whiner.
because most other bands don't have their replacement members dress up and act just like their original members. Sammy Hagar didn't dress up and try to sing just like David Lee Roth, Ronnie James Dio didn't dress up and sing just like Ozzy, Gary Holt doesn't dress up and try to play just like Jeff Hanneman, Ozzy's guitarists don't all try to imitate Randy Rhodes, ect. With KI$$, they dress to scabs up just like Ace and Peter to fool their brain-dead fans into thinking that its all the original guys, when all it is is just a really bad KI$$ tribute band.
That brings back memories. Seen that tour here in St. Louis. I went with a very large group of people in a Limo. Everyone wanted to leave, accept for one drunken female...SIGH! We were tormented to almost 2 hours of pop rock, power ballad torture. I also thought Peter was great. It amazes me when people like to stress how terrible he was during that era. Every time I seen KISS from 1998-2004, Peter played very well.
@@InfiniteSunLuciferDLarynx I liked the Aerosmith show because of the films where they all had KISS makeup snd Tylers voice too ..Npt having Ace made it ok to have Kiss back em up .. I’ve seen backstage footage of Peter. From a fan perspective and knowing how all them are, it’s hilarious hearing Peter’s complaining echoing down a hall “oh here he goes again” But as a fellow bandmember that’s encountered a few like that, I see where Paul’s coming from whether or not all accounts are accurate. It’s easy to see Peter always had something to say and with all that pressure as a musician, it’s understandable.

I was a Kiss fan as a kid from the late 70s and even in to HS late 80's when being a Kiss fan was about as uncool as you could get. Saw them in concerts without makeup and believe me those shows the attendance was far from the 70's or what would come with the reunion. I do believe the Gene and Paul actually started Kiss and that ideally they would have wanted hired guns from day one. BUT Kiss was billed as the four guys like a makeup version of the Beatles. With that I also think the what Ace and Peter brought forward was never highly considered in terms of contribution material. When I stopped being a fan was when they had two people dress as Peter and Ace which is the definition of a cover band. I get members have issues people change, Paul can't get along with any former member etc... if they would have given them their own costumes I'd still be flying the banner, but not the fake Kiss it has become. It has become nothing more than a money grab. Also, I actually find Peter and Ace to be better singers than either Gene or Paul.
Wait... so you had your tour manager dress up in Ace's costume, but you DIDN'T dress your tour manager up in Ace's costume? In what twisted universe does that make sense?
I don't blame them for hiring Tommy Thayer to play lead, he does an amazing job, I just wish they allowed him to design his own character for the band, same as Eric singer
peter's drumming is "horrible" yet 90% of the time all people want to hear are songs that he played on. no one says dont play strutter because the drumming sucks.
Paul Dunlea Exactly. So according to Paul Stanley, once he and Gene are dead another two guys can step in and don their makeup and call themselves KISS? Bullshit...
2024 Ace is doing a massive tour at age 73 celebrating 10k Volts which is a homerun of an album, all new music with no filler. Doing it live without any backing tracks. Paul? not so much.
Peter Criss has always been a toxic little junkie runt and too be honest, he's not a very good drummer either. I think Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons tolerated him way longer than most people would have. For the record when Peter got fired the first time, Ace Frehley was in agreement about it. Peter started messing up on purpose during stadium gigs to piss off his bandmates. Put that together with his out of control substance abuse and I'm surprised they invited him back at all years later.
While there is no question Paul as always is pretty full of himself, and there is blame to go around for all members, Ace and Peter really have nobody but themselves to blame for not being in the band from the Reunion tour thru to the End of the Road tour.
Sorry Paul Tommy sounds like a tribute band player if you compare Aces solos to Tommy's it is just sad Tommy might get some notes right but his playing is soulless and his solos simplified not even close to Ace. You are not a better Kiss no magic but if people still pay more power to yah. Money is everything to you and Gene sometimes stereotypes are dead on.
Paul Stanley speaks bad about Eric Carr as a ""drug adict"" even knowing he was very bad Ill and he was doing his best to keep doing his part on the band. In fact: I´m surprised that Paul Stanley haven´t speak bad about Gene Simmons because he do that with all the people who has worked with him in the past.
It’s so convenient nowadays for Paul to slam Peter and Ace….cause they are not needed anymore. But they sure were needed back in 95 for MTV Unplugged to even work…and obviously, the reunion tour in 96.
Are you a bit one-sided? Ace needed MONEY and fame for his solo projects. He needed KISS more than they needed him! Please don't ignore facts. And Paul didn,t slam here noone. He is simply telling facts.
@@HappyMachorino-bd8no One sided? Yes…you got me. Paul’s comments are self serving. You know that he was selling a book, right? And instead of celebrating the history of the band, he decided it would be cool to “PISS” on it. Those, my friend, are “facts”.
He’s bullshitting about Ace though. They wanted him permanently and they had to make a huge effort just to get him to agree to do the “Farewell” tour. Gene and Eric even showed up at his birthday bash with a cake and pretty much pleaded him to stay. Paul just expects everyone to forget that
Aerosmith wanted at least 3 original members of Kiss because even they knew that's what the people wanted. Evan Paul admits if it looks and sounds like Kiss it's Kiss. 🤷🏻

John Westcott he can play all the styles of the lead guys in the past fair enough. Weirdly needed.

Or the legacy they would have left if they ended it after the Farewell tour with all 4 original members like they were supposed to.
All original members could have retired in style at the end of 1978
I call total BS to that.
They need Ace and Peter to help with the singing now.

You think, Paul and Gene are just legends only in their OWN mind?
Why then all the people want to enjoy their concerts? Lots and lots of people!
The reunion of the four originals in 1996, made what Kiss have become and where it is now, if not reunion, probably kiss play gigs in clubs or just no Kiss anymore, cause Kiss before the reunion, the 90’ was hard for Kiss as for the others bands
Kiss died years ago as soon as Paul and Gene dressed up Tommy and Eric in personas they didn't create.
Saw them in 2013. Kiss was very much alive!

I love how Paul gives ZERO credit to the fact that if it wasn't for Ace and Peter rejoining KISS in 1996 that he would still be playing Convention Halls. Keep bashing the two guys that made it possible for you to have all you have today.
Jason Deffley you nailed it brother
It feels to me like Paul is extra angry because Ace and Peter (especially Peter) helped bring about the massively successful reunion, only to mess things up all over again.
well... you can see it that way, but there would be no Kiss without Paul so I guess....
Peter Criss by all accounts sounds like a massive pain in the ass.
Ace always steals the show, and Paul and Gene can't stand it.
Been watching them from the 70s, and been to 3 concerts live. Ace couldn’t hold up to Paul’s energy. The only thing he stole was money from people who paid good money to watch him. I was one of them. No worries; Gene and Paul stole the show.

Ace- and Peter nostalgics tend to distort facts to put the FORMER heroes on a pedestal.
I would like to hear Peters side of the story,

Keep telling yourself this shit Paul. Everyone was SUPPOSED to be out after the "Farewell Tour". It was the end. [time has more than proven that]
Now adays the words “Farewell Tour” means nothing, much like the term “Unlimited data” in respects to “cellular service” just another case of say whatever you need to sell more of whatever your hawking!!
It shan't be long before Gene, Tommy and Eric decide it's time to replace Paul because he can't sing anymore.
Rick Baker
- how do you know paul was going through a financially tough divorce? peter was broke as was ace. Gene was doing ok but million dollar paydays were pretty much ver for him too. they all needed the reunion. why cant they just admit that?
Because Paul talks about it in his book and in interviews. It's not anything that has been hidden.
It's the money. Fans want to $ee the original guys, not one guy backed up by sessionists.
My first concert was the farewell tour in 2000. Went to the 2003 Aerosmith/Kiss tour and it wasn't the same without Ace
If mr. Frehley we're SO good AND unique, he should've the Ozzy in the guitar World, but not, he Is only known in a spot of the hard/heavy music.....because His works dragged in a mediocre and repetitive sound AND Riff.

Peter was never very pleasant. The fact he was a terrible drummer just adds to Peter being a joke.
Chris Gordon I know, right? Bands change members all the time! When someone leaves, they either call it quits or carry on.

I get members have issues people change, Paul can't get along with any former member etc... if they would have given them their own costumes I'd still be flying the banner, but not the fake Kiss it has become. peter's drumming is "horrible" yet 90% of the time all people want to hear are songs that he played on. no one says dont play strutter because the drumming sucks.
Are you being sarcastic?
@@Vaceshocker Are you serious?
@@InfiniteSunLuciferDLarynx I understand now
'' If it sounded like kiss - looked like kiss - And commanded like kiss It was Kiss '' One minute 2.27 mark. - Delusional
Paul Dunlea Exactly. So according to Paul Stanley, once he and Gene are dead another two guys can step in and don their makeup and call themselves KISS? Bullshit...
@@Jonipoon At one time, that was a plan.
Maybe all this drama and bluster is why I haven’t seen KISS live since 1992
"It's not like we took our tour manager and dressed him up in a space outfit" That's exactly what happened though.
Like I said the band was much better off without him
2024 Ace is doing a massive tour at age 73 celebrating 10k Volts which is a homerun of an album, all new music with no filler. Doing it live without any backing tracks. Paul? not so much.
I literally cannot understand how people defend Ace and Peter when they let the band down time and time again
Tommy who ?
Richard Kucklinski lol. U dumbass Pollack !
Daveyboy _ what is a Pollack?
Richard Kucklinski omg .lol. Google it .
Richard Kucklinski wikipedia it
Richard Kucklinski lol
Coheadline? That’s cute. Kiss came off as an opening act for a band not even in their league.
Peter is too old,74 to go out call on a full tour
My favourite line up is Paul gene eric carr and bruce
Jari F1 that lineup certainly proved to be one of the most cohesive and solid of all of the lineups. I really miss Eric Carr.
"Yeah, because Crazy Nights and Hot in Shade are just amazing records!!", said nobody ever.
Mine was Gene, Paul, Ace and Eric Carr. Solid lineup for the short time it was.
Jari F1 Your opinion is irrelevant!
Don Knotts So is yours!!
Tommy IS a substitute out of desperation
Peter Criss has always been a toxic little junkie runt and too be honest, he's not a very good drummer either. I think Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons tolerated him way longer than most people would have. For the record when Peter got fired the first time, Ace Frehley was in agreement about it. Peter started messing up on purpose during stadium gigs to piss off his bandmates. Put that together with his out of control substance abuse and I'm surprised they invited him back at all years later.
It's not too hard to figure out Peter Criss was never a team player. Kiss was right to kick him out. Like Paul says f*** that.
While there is no question Paul as always is pretty full of himself, and there is blame to go around for all members, Ace and Peter really have nobody but themselves to blame for not being in the band from the Reunion tour thru to the End of the Road tour.
We hired Tommy Thayer to be the MC at my family reunion. Only cost me $100 for the day which was a great deal.
Exactly- Tommy does not get it right
Paul Stanley speaks bad about Eric Carr as a ""drug adict"" even knowing he was very bad Ill and he was doing his best to keep doing his part on the band.
He can’t help but talk disparagingly about Ace and Peter any chance he gets. He should be embracing the end of the band, and those who started it. And instead of celebrating the history of the band, he decided it would be cool to “PISS” on it. Those, my friend, are “facts”.
Peter was and still is a Sub Standard Drummer. He praises himself as the God of Drummers. He has always been his own worst enemy.
Paul & Gene "its just me"
You know what Paul Stanley complains a lot and never takes any responsibility on himself
@skysoldier1127
Why should Paul take responsibility when selfdestructive bandmates ruin themselfes.
He’s bullshitting about Ace though. They wanted him permanently and they had to make a huge effort just to get him to agree to do the “Farewell” tour. Gene and Eric even showed up at his birthday bash with a cake and pretty much pleaded him to stay. Paul just expects everyone to forget that
How did tom inhance it? He didn’t write the tunes or any good tunes since for kiss lol
Aerosmith wanted at least 3 original members of Kiss because even they knew that's what the people wanted. Evan Paul admits if it looks and sounds like Kiss it's Kiss. 🤷🏻
I like KISS to continue to enjoy them in my opinion,is NOT to watch videos of each different Band member tell their so called facts about another of who, why, and how!!! So I still enjoy the music and feel nothing has changed regardless who sang or played or mimicked or makeup or makedown Everyone just stop listening to this rival talk and don't allow it to effect the Music. Unless its just that big of a deal to you. DONT GET YOUR PERSONAL FEELINGS GET INVOLVED! BUT THATS JUST ME.
I was on a Facebook “kiss” page, this is how fucking delusional people are. I read “Tommy Thayer is a better guitar player than Jimmy Page”. Uhh 🙄. So when I read dumb shit like that I just sit and tell myself ‘ya can’t teach stupid because stupid is just a natural disaster for some’. Bottom line Tommy Thayer is a good guitar player, he doesn’t have ANY STYLE, doesn’t have any “IT” factor, doesn’t have any “awe inspiring stage presence”....all he is like Eric Singer is a touring guitar player in a once awe inspiring rock band. Their legacy in the history of KISS ...AT BEST will be a very weak blink of the eye 👁
Paul talks about everyone but hates when people talk about him
Why do I have the distinct impression that if Paul were stranded on a desert island, he wouldn't be lonely.
Who wants to be Lonely? Ohhhohoh Ohh Ohhhhh!
@@euanelliott8068 He's quoting an 80's KISS lyric from a song on the Asylum album. It flew right over your typically sarcastic British head!
@@InfiniteSunLuciferDLarynx Okay, I missed that one, possibly because I'm an insufferable prick who hasn't heard the Asylum album yet, so I am hardly an authority.
Gekko said in Wall Street that all Brits think we were born with a better pot to piss in.....actually we are so inbred we don't realise we're pissing in our own breakfast.
Huge apologies to the person I probably offended.
Not sarcasm.
@@LLB-lh2lh Sorry about the lyrical mistake, even Brits can be dumbasses(You've noticed).
Sorry for being a shit.
@@euanelliott8068 LOL. Here I thought all the inbreeding was done in the Southern U.S. Learn something everyday. Asylum is an under rated album. The shitty cover and image at the time make many write it off. It's the last of the "metal" KISS albums.
Peter was a crazy m'er f'er.
"And I don't mean without me " Means I do mean without me .
They are a full fledged poser/cover band!!all about the money!!!
They never said they weren't.
Actually smartass Eric singer and Tommy Thayer have been in the band longer than any other member except gene and paul and eric and Tommy can show up on time to studio and shows
So if anything else there pretty much the original may not sound as good anymore but still
How are they a cover band with two original members still in the band? Most asinine comment ever lol.
This is the most interesting I've ever found KISS to be. Way better than any of their music
Paul was right when he once equated Peter and Ace to two flat tires. The fans who paid definitely deserved better.
