    So your always suppose to drive it on H ? Im confuse whats the Neautral for?

    • @hilsonmotors

      Correct! Full time 4WD. The "N" position is just for when you're engaging 4LO.

    If i put the shift in Neutral, what happens? The car don't move ...?

    • @hilsonmotors
      @hilsonmotors  2 месяца назад

      Right! The car has to be in either H or L to move. Will not move in N as you stated.

    I need a cheater bar to shift into 4Lo sometimes. Like the shifter seizes up or something.

    • @hilsonmotors

      Keep trying to engage and disengage it. Many times it will free itself up and start working.

      @@hilsonmotors I bought a shifter extender. Now it moves a lot more freely.

    What year is this model? I have a 2006 Land Cruiser and no matter what I do, if I put it in 4 low it locks the center differential. I can't have 3 low without it being locked.
    Is that an error or is it supposed to be like that?

    • @007sajitha
      @007sajitha 10 месяцев назад

      you are supposed to enter 4lo when you need traction and wheels are slipping, so yes its by design and common on full time 4wd vehicles (which are having a center diff).

    • @hilsonmotors
      @hilsonmotors  10 месяцев назад +2

      This specific 100 was an '05. You should always have to engage the diff lock. It's not automatic. Hence why their is a button to engage it. It might be stuck

    • @007sajitha
      @007sajitha 10 месяцев назад

      @@hilsonmotors centre diff lock button is there because sometimes you need 4H with bit of traction so lock the centre diff, to my knowledge all toyotas atleast automatically lock centre diff when we put into low range (because obvious reasons)

      @@hilsonmotors I have always believed that but EVERY mechanic in this country in Central America says no.... That the transfer case lock is automatic when in 4 low. They say that without the transfer case lock engaged (uses same light on the dash as the differential lock) that the LC100 will route force to whichever will needs it, no matter what. Then, with 4 Low engaged (and the auto engaging transfer case lock as they call it), you absolutely cannot drive on dry pavement. It will buckle and bind a differential until it breaks.
      I'm not saying that they are right.... ONLY that they say that is the way the vehicles are designed..... And we don't seem to be able to overcome it , at least here. What a shame... Can't use 4 Low to pull a heavy load unlessnin mud or a slippery situation.

    I can't get my Height Control to work. I put it on Hi and after 10 seconds or so it stops blinking indicating to me that his successfully engaged. A minute or so later, it's back at Neutral ? Any comment on that one ?
