Beautiful, I'll lock that one down for 2025. This winter, I'm off to Osaka and Kyoto for a fortnight. I think I'll do that beautiful onsen combined with Sapporo/Hokkaido.
OK, I think my life as Canadian born, raised and living in the prairie provinces qualifies me as a snow expert. Four to six months of every year snow time. That was great fluffy snow. If you didn't have a snowball fight it would have been criminal. The area is magnificently scenic. I suspect most of the year that Takaragawa Onsen is surrounded by beautiful vistas. So you placed it firmly on my Japanese bucket list. Oh, just to inform you, Yes, there is such a thing as too much snow. I'd call those conditions normal winter driving conditions. Enjoyed this.
Man, I love this format. Slower and more natural. I feel like we’re hearing your natural voice here.
Glad you enjoy it. I think thats the point of this channel, more my point of view and experiences in a laid back format
@@HappyGaijin I was just thrilled that they didn’t let you film inside the onsen!
Very good video style and presentation Happy Gaijin , the snow looked like when i went to Sapporo 😃
Thanks a lot 😊 Sapporo in the winter sounds amazing, I want to go for the festival but its always when I cant take time off :(
Beautiful place! ❄
I wanna go back in the winter it was an amazing experience
I’m taking you skiing this winter in Hakuba or Hokkaido. Let’s do it.
Haha. let's see about that! if there's an onsen experience you might convince me
As someone who lives in the tropics, I love a good snow adventure ⛄️❄️
Me too I totally understand, for me I just get really excited
If you can, please visit Kinosaki Onsen. I was there in April 2023 for 4 days/3 nights. I stated at Nishimuraya Honkan, A great house it is!
Yes! It's on my list :) thanks for the reminder
That view from the train and the snow!
I know right

The onsen is amazing so good choice! Kinoseki onsen from Kyoto/Osaka is a great place to do as a day trip too :)

Oh boy I guess I need to get used to having this second channel as I seem to have commented as Ninjamonkey haha
@@HappyGaijin Multiple personality disorder can cause serious identity problems, or so I've heard.
@@jimross7648 it seems that way!
It’s very pretty.. I’m going to visit Japan in late november-early december. Do you think I can see the snow there?
Specifically in that area im not too sure, but by that point you could find snow by going north where there are lots of similar places to visit!
What month is this snow?
This was end of Dec (around 27/28 Dec)
