Ya that’s a good generator for a 23yr generator it looks in good condition . We tuck one out of a hospital which was closed down it was a Rolls Royce engine we sold it on and installed it . Great video Sir . Watching from the U.K.
Tell Steve hello. Heavy duty gear for sure. That Ford motor is a sleeping giant. That would be cool to get her to fire up. Another project for another day. Have a great weekend you guys!
You ever thought about a overhead hoist trolly? Need to find track or make them. Maybe elevator or escalator parts. Shopping centers are shutting down all over. I remember you picking up a spring loaded trolly truck. Pick up anything, move it anywhere with ease. Big project, might not be worth the effort. But fun to build.
That looks like a 1000 amp 3-phase interlock panel. Think of it like a switch that goes on the side of a Machinery or air conditioner or whatever except that goes on the main power that comes into the building and usually it's three phase at at least 1740 V. We used to have one very similar on the back wall of a factory I worked in. Whenever lightning hit that thing would kick out and maintenance would have to go back in there and reset it.
That motor was setup to run on propane..so timing is advanced..as you saw on valve cover...using ether isnt a good idea unless you change the timing back
Think your motor jumped time. It may have some type of sequencer on crank control that only allows to fire under correct fuel pressure/ignition. Got idea it jumped time for the reverse rotation after it fired. Using starting fluid on a gas it should ignite after 1 full crank rotation if you are getting spark. I would jump it from starter and use a different fuel delivery even if u pump gas to fuel rail/carburetor from a fuel can. Another great video! I love your creativity and ingenuity. Good job!
Am no generator expert but that shit was amazing, your guy knows his shit, cast aluminium lights with copper ballasts, I mean man your hole back part of witch you showed, ie the way ,fix it up bro ,stay safe my friend, am always trying and appreciate your efforts in these amazing videos you bang out 👍
@@ProjectShopFl so I'm at work right now at FPL store room, Riviera beach. I think I just found some of that titanium on the back of a truck....Awesome!!!!
Whole bunch of people in the comments that don't know Ford's. Facing the radiator, on the left side down is a electric ignition box it should have two groups of wires coming out. Remove the box and take it to the auto parts store. It should have a colored plastic square on the bottom, that will tell them witch one it is. That one might have only one set of wires, maybe. Do not ajust the timing.
I watched an older video where you were talking about recycling a coper RADIATOR. The way you pronounced radiator I thought, I bet he's from Jersey. On the creepy bronze statue video you confirmed it. Takes one to know one. Glad you cut off that pr#*ks head off too.
That's an old school Ford V8. I'll bet you that thing is either a 302 or 351 Windsor or Cleveland. You could easily put a four-barrel carburetor on that thing and run it on regular gas I would sell that motor as is. That Motors worth about two grand by itself. And by the way a quick change of the plugs and wires Etc. Change the cam out your talking for hours work at the max. There's no difference between that motor and a regular truck motor. It's possible that not even the cam is different. Since it has a speed sensor and regulator. Remove all that control stuff and it's just a regular Ford engine.
@@Raycr it could be a big block but it doesn't look like it. Ford's are hard to tell because they didn't have funny heads like Chevrolets and Chryslers did on their big block engines. It's definitely worth Bank though because it's an old-school V8

Why does Steve look as if he thinks he's the Ginny pig in this Florida man episode of how to blow up an engine? Hahahahahahaaaa

Now that Steve is back, you can get some mechanical projects done.
I hope so. lol
Nice work
Thanks!

I can't wait to tare into it. lol
Steve: "Somehing bad happened... We're gonna do it again"
All about safety uh? 😂
😂😂😂
The switch sending the spark is faulty or wired backward and sending the spark at the end of the cycle instead of at the start.
Thanks for the info
Great video
Thanks!
You have to change the timing for different fuels is what that sticker says. It's probably set up for LP or propane.
Thanks for the info

Cool video mate..hi I hope you got the light free. I'm thinking of getting 3 phase for my house as I want a workshop in my garage.
Good luck, I pay for most of my scrap.
@Project Shop FL I know you pay for all you scrap. But on occasion you might get the lights free.
@@iffy9776 I actually got a job coming up where it's gonna be a bunch of free lights.
I really enjoy all the novice comments. You need to... You know what your problem...... ya ya ya. Personally, I think your killin it, day in, day out.

Got something coming soon on it.
@@ProjectShopFl so I'm at work right now at FPL store room, Riviera beach. I think I just found some of that titanium on the back of a truck....Awesome!!!!
Is there silver in those contacts? Are you going to scrap it if there is?
Yes and I will recover all the silver from the contacts.

Knocking it Out... "Come On Big Money"... Can you make Teeth out of Copper?
Can the Copper King get a Grill made from Copper?
😂😂😂 That would be awesome. lol
Really looks and sounds like the timing on that motor is off.
Thanks for the suggestion
Its timed for running on propane or natural gas..
👍👍🙂🇨🇦

That's a 460 Ford right there. There's a solid market for those where I'm at
I'm pretty sure it's a Windsor. Car enthusiasts are drooling right now.
