8:50 my son has the same laugh when he takes s*** apart--you know, like the fridge, that he can't put back together again. I'm getting that boy into scrapping.
Hello and don't get tired, your work is very interesting and pleasant. I would love to have a small workshop like yours and be able to have tools and equipment like yours. This is super fun and amazing work.
I think everything you put out is great the quality is Very good. I hear you're just fi know. You want to better yourself because you can't leave anything alone. But every time you touch something you just make it better so then do it
Right back at you thank you for always having great content. It's always a highlight of my day to see project shop fl pop up. I so bad see my old self in all you do . Keep up blowing threw scrap ha ha haha 😅
@@ProjectShopFl that's all any of us can ask for nowadays. Can’t wait to see part 2 This is a great way to pull the copper out of the staters, good job on the engineering of this machine, just need a bad ass name to go along with it
I've been waiting to see you build that machine. Can't wait to see it finished and breaking stators and pulling copper. Once you mentioned it years ago I searched around for some of the videos of the machine online and you're right, there ain't much of it on the internet, you're going to be showing some pretty rare equipment. All the best in getting that completed and fully functional for your scrapping operation!
happy thanksgiving hope you had a great day ,that machine is one bad ass monster it pulls the copper out like butter .great video keep them comming and as always keep the faith
I have just watched a video where they extract the copper from stators. They cut the coils with a cold chisel. A small jackhammer with a chisel bit would be as noisy, but you don't have to replace Sawzall blades and have less copper dust
That is bad ass!!! It might also help if you can figure out a way to get that down to a one person operation. Not sure how that would work safely. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I worked all day, but stumbled across about $250 worth of copper pipe, so I'm not complaining! 😂🤣
Happy Thanksgiving! Scrap prices have gone down so much in the past year or so where I'm at. It's sad... i was making decent $ a year back, now it's hard to make a decent run. I don't do anything as big as you do, more just dumpster diving and grabbing scrap when I see it. I pretty much exclusively grab copper and brass now because the prices have all taken such a fall.
Happy thanksgiving to you as well, Sorry to hear about the price drop. Since I buy all my scrap my profit stays the same because I always have to adjust my price.
@@ProjectShopFl Yeah, that makes sense - have prices dropped down in FL though? I'm all the way on the other side of the US, up in WA state. I'd imagine prices dropped all over but I don't know.
Happy Holidays from Canada! I do a lot of the same stuff as you do but on a smaller scale... I always enjoy watching your videos and learning different ways of doing some of the same things I am doing.
This vid is so right on time. I just pulled apart my first small stator(6 inches) and only after I totally pulled it apart I noticed the ends of the wire were aluminum colored. Can't tell if it's copper or copper coated alum. Any thoughts? Can you show the cut ends before you scrap the copper please
I don't think there is any copper coated aluminum, The slack coating they have on the coils look like copper but it's just the insulating coating. If the ends looks aluminum most likely aluminum
I think your greatly over estimating the amount of pressure you'll need to pull that copper. You biggest problem is going to be a way to tightly grab and hold onto the windings. If you get a good grab that doesn't slip, it will pull right out.
hey Derek, if you weld some square stock on the bottom & top edge in line with your pulling cylinder, the stators body should not move forward...just although, love the content..... havagr8wekend from Sydney Australia

No, but like all politicians he is probably getting his palms greased. If people were smart they would just stop paying and tell them lower it or F off.

Happy Thanksgiving to you brother!
Thanks, Same to you.
some 1/8 6011 would have been perfect for that job
For what part?
all the welding, it would just burn right through all the crap and penetrate easily. and its easier to reach tight spots with the rod than a mig gun

Seen a similar set up in India pulling the copper with hydrolic ram
I've seen a few vids from India and I don't feel bad about my safety habits. lol

@@ProjectShopFl best scrapper on the tube. Hands down.
I was thinking about replacing the springs with cable, pulley and counterweight like elevators use😊
Great idea! I have thought of doing the same. 👍
I use a graphite spray lube on my winch cables like Sinto chain and cable lube,it bubbles away rust, great for counterweight set-up 😎

Keeping it interesting. Loving the build. Keep doing it brother..👍🏻👍🏻

Use old motor mount rubbers for top wrecker...rubber cheap and grip stator...
Thanks for the suggestion
Go pull a few off that AMD out front,.! 😂
Thank you PSF!

You should check out the empire of dirt setup for extracting copper from motors I think you are more than capable to do it
I've seen his setup and it works good but what I am building is similar in concept but be able to handle massive motors, stators, & transformers.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, bud!

You should be using a stick welder it’s not nessery to clean the rust or paint as much and you’ll get some deep penetrating Welds.
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have one yet but I'm looking for a tig welder that will do both
You should pay that little seat a wage man that thing works hard

It's not the cylinder that's the problem its the hydraulic pump, they are made for high pressure not high flow
