Ammm. I did the keto diet for a few years and just recently started plant based diet. I do eat fish though. When i started the Ketozone diet i needed that at that moment. The doctors were no help as i went to them for stomach pain over five times. It was this and that. In desperation i called out to God and was led to the Ketozone diet as i heard about it at the same time. In three days my stomach pain left after over 10 years. Found out i had gluten intolerance. Acid reflux went and other issues. So at that time it was meant for me now i am eating lot's of veges and enough fruits. It was my desire to and thanks to God i am able to do it without weight gain. Also i feel satisfied too. About hunger, i noticed that i do feel hungry with plant based but at first now getting used to it. Also it helps having three meals. On keto i did two mainly.Anyway interesting information and thanks 👍
Thank you for the clear explanation. It was confusing. One group of experts and doctors promote plant-based and the other group ketogenic diet. Not sure which one to choose.
Dr Hashmi, thanks for sharing your knowledge on "health" I am SURE some of us would like to do a deeper dive into your resources you refer to like ....studies from RTC, observational, meta-analysis....could you link those studies so that we can ALSO read them for ourselves? Thanks
Dr Hashmi: I have been eating a plant-based, "no salt or very little salt" eating plan. I have lost 24 lbs so far in about 2 months. I have problems finding simple recipes and am not hungry a good deal of the time. What do you recommend. I have had 3 UTI in a row also. My blood pressure is good but I ache throughout my body especially in my legs and side. Also my Aic is 5.7. I forgot to mention I am stage 4 CKD
A balanced calorie controlled diet, such as recommended by the British Heart Foundation or the National health service of the United Kingdom are as good as any.
Doc only when I try to eat vegetables or fruits I don't feel fullness and my craving last longer until I eat some carbs. How to attain this feeling of fullness by eating fruits and vegetables. Pls guide..
Focus on the healthy plate model. Half your plate is fruits and vegetables, 25% is whole grains and 25% is proteins like beans, lentils, tofu. The key is not to eat until you are full. It's to eat 80% to fullness. This is called Hara Hachi Bu in the Okinawan culture. In scientific terms, it's intuitive eating. Realizing that you don't have to be full trains the body. Like everything, this takes practice.
Hi Doctor, Pls upload the Video from Slave food which you had discussed a day back... I listened that and many take aways for me it will help the people following you here... Thanks..
DON'T GO BY THE NAMES. JUST EAT A BALANCE QUALITY PROTEINS, ORGANIC VEGGIES, SOME FRUITS. AVOID PROCESSED (VEGAN CHEESE IS PROCESSED) FOOD, SEEDS OILS, PROCESSED CARBS. STAY ACTIVE.

*Smacks forehead* "the numbers were better for both relevant categories on the low carb high fat diet, but when we have them a 'glucose challenge' (drinking straight sugar water 🙄), the numbers were worse". No shit, it's almost like, i dunno, just stop eating so much damn glucose everyday? It's like saying it's better to always have a blood alcohol going so when you DO have that drink (that's the other thing; all these whole food plant based people act like it's IMPOSSIBLE to avoid sugar for some reason 🤔), you won't get AS drunk AS fast. This 'I've decided WFPB is correct, then im going to confuse the public when reality doesn't fit' must stop. People are finding this rhetoric and taking it seriously, and people are getting really sick.
What do you think of this study? Which diet seems better to you?

There is a ton of data on the benefits of a whole food plant-based diet. Now we are learning that it's also good for weight loss and fatty liver.
