Anybody know what that 90-degree vent cover is called or where I can find it?
amzn.to/3cnWonr - here is the link to the 90* elbow. Our son came up with the design for the vent cover and we are working on a source to sell them. The quick look was a teaser. Stay tuned !
@@MWDAdventures Oh fantastic thank you so much! It's a great design

The milk crate idea is simple and brilliant!!!
Very informative video thanks for the great ideas!
Old army trick. Take a wire hanger and fold the sides to create a U shape. Then you can hang clothes on them like shirts and they'll dry faster.
Couldn't you just hang them on the wire hanger without folding it?
I imagine when you fold the sides that creates an opening between the front and back of said short rather than keeping them "glued" together thus drying them faster
Thanks for sharing
Nice trailer and setup.
That is an awesome color combination.
Matt, This is an awesome video. Please let Henry know my wife and I greatly appreciate his the details of each of the options he reviewed. We found everything very informative. Let Henry know not to worry about mounting the spare tire on the back bottom of the trailer. As he stated ( and we have experienced), with proper maintenance, he will probably never need to access it. Great info ! Good stuff! Please keep it coming. DP in MD
No problem. I will pass it on.
No spare? Come on ...that should be standard equipment for God's sake. Air condition would be a big one for add-on.
Was the arb awning mounted only on the two hiker bars or is there a 3rd bar toward the front? If its only on the two bars how much is the overhang and have there been any issues with the awning flexing or bending ? I'm looking to do the same setup on my hiker but saw that arb suggests no more than 27 inches overhang.
Awning windows should be a option instead of just horizontal sliding windows. Love the trailer design features. But the windows that open horizontally are not good for use while open during rain. Don't get it. Thanks for the segment.
Very nice interview, like a professional and good sound& motion control👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
How do you attach the license plate to the galley door? Seems the cover material is so thin, with just foam inside, and it doesn't look like the screws go all the way through. What works well for this? Thanks!
How was the milk carton attached? Was it just zip ties at the bottom?
I have heavy duty zip ties to the frame and travel with it empty but will add a strap before our big trip next week.
Per Henry: Heavy duty zip ties to the frame.I will also add straps before our big trip
@@henrychen3256 Why travel without the water in the milk crate? Do you think the water jug will fall out on the road or that the milk crate will break somehow on the road with the water jug in it?
Matt, can you post link to video that gives details on the top shelf dimensions for galley and inside.
Good reminder about ordering the spare tire.
Another great, informative video.

Nice Thanks for the tour
Great video Matt, I’ve been watching all your videos and really enjoy them. I currently have a 34’ 5th but have been thinking about downgrading because of fuel and storage cost. I figure I can buy the hiker for 4-5 years of storage fees. I live in central California and have been interested in renting one of the hiker trailers to make sure I like it. Do you have any idea if there is anyone renting them in this area?
Thanks again for all the great videos.
We have many people rent our trailer to see if they like it first too. Most of them come back and say they are putting in an order! As for rentals, the only ones I know of are us and someone in Minnesota. You could come check the Western shore of Michigan out - for some fall camping or next spring/summer. We have beautiful beaches here :-)
Happy Trails Thanks 😊
Nice mods! ive always wanted a smaller trailer but i have the big dog !
We have friends that camp with 2 big dogs. They keep them in a kennel outside under their awning.
Getting to be a professional interviewer
This is very helpful. Knowing what works and what may not be necessary as I start out is exactly what I want. Thank you.
So is that color called Midnight Blue or Electric Blue ?
Joli !

@@henrychen3256 Thank you!
Who painted the hiker?
Not painted. Pick the color at factory
What is the weight?
We are traveling at around 1100
How did you attach that milk crate on the tongue so it's tight enough to carry water?
I used heavy duty zip ties. I am adding a strap but usually will not travel with the water container full over long distance. Fill in town right before getting to my site is the plan.
@@henrychen3256 thanks Henry. Great idea!
I also use heavy duty UV resistant thick zip ties to hold down my milk crate. I’ve carried my 11# propane tank in there over 5,000 miles. Works great!
