Nobody makes final girls like Wes did. Smart, tough as nail fighting every bit on the way after initial scare. Nancy and Sydney are two best final girls in the genre in my opinion.
Part 3 called "Dream Warriors" is probably the most beloved (next to the original) in the franchise. You should definitely watch it. And it has great effects!
That and New Nightmare. I've come to love part 2 for the gay subtext and loves the makeup, and i love the "crappy" sequels, but I think most people would do better juat watching 3 and New Nightmare.
Check out the movies A Nightmare on Elm Street(1985), The Lost Boys(1987), Halloween(1978), A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors(1987), Jeepers Creepers(2001), Candyman(1992), Creepshow(1982), Friday the 13th(1980), Child’s Play(1988), and Hellraiser(1987).
The film was inspired by a rash of mysterious deaths among Cambodian refugees. The children would stay asleep for days and die after they finally did go to sleep.
Loved the way you kept trying to apply Christopher Nolan logic to the plot. I can tell you I don't remember the 'dreams within dreams' theory being applied to Freddy films when I was younger so I suspect that idea was planted by Inception. The idea of a killer stalking people in their dreams was left field enough in the 80s, we didn't need Chris Nolan to overcomplicate it.
Another great director with Wes Craven. He revolutionized modern horror cinema at least 3 times in his career. Defintely think the ending was just what happened to Nancy's mom. Love the character of Nancy. Pity they didn't really do her justice in the sequels. In my opinion the only ones worth watching have Heather Lagenkamp in them -- Nightmare on Elm Street III: Dream Warriors and Wes Craven's New Nightmare. You were mostly right about how they did Glen's death but if you watch the behind the scenes videos it tells how it all went wrong and people could have died.
Two movies redefined the horror genre in the 80's. Nightmare on Elm Street was one of them. The other obe was Hellraiser (1987). I hope you react to it. By the way you already reacted to two movies by Wes Craven. Youmight as well react to another one called The People Under The Stairs (1991), which is another horror classic.
Told you there would be a familiar face in this one 😉 and trust me these get better from here, even the newer remakes are pretty decent, Freddy's been my favorite since I was a kid 🤣
The movie was suppose to all be a dream and end with nancy driving off with her friends happy. Thats the end Wes Craven wrote, but the producer wanted it more open ended for sequels, so he forced Wes to change the ending to be more ambiguous maybe she's still dreaming. It doesn't really make sense
The story of this is loosely based on hmong refugees, survivors from the Cambodia k-ing fields. In the 1970s several refugees passed in their sleep from nightmares, all claiming that something was after them in their sleep. SUNDS or Sudden Unexpected Notcurnal D!@#$ Syndrome. These strange passings were studied and new information was gained in the areas of sleep apnea, night terrors, nightmare demons etc.
10 days without sleep will kill you and 11 is the record she did die, in a la under drgs an experiment made it to 19 days butdrgs were used to keep him alive
Thank you so much! 🤍 playback is normal for most of it but for a couple scenes I had to speed it up between 1.2 and 1.6 speed because of copyright 😭 anything shown over 8 seconds gets copyrighted unfortunately
The great thing about the Freddy Krueger concept as opposed to other slashers is you eventually have to fall asleep. With others, if they happened IRL you could get on a plane and fly to another country, it would take them forever to find you if they even could. But with Freddy you will eventually dream. Also one of the theories about the end, with the mom being pulled through the window, is that this whole movie is the mother's dream. Since she killed Freddy, it's her nightmare that her daughter is being hunted by Fred.

Yep, that's the one and only Johnny Depp in his first major movie role. Hell of a way to start an acting career huh?

Wes Craven also made Scream.
Who knew back then when Johnny Depp left our home state of Kentucky in his pursuit of an acting career that this would be his first movie.
Heather langenkamp eyes are dark blue😮 kinda like ocean waters
Glenn's room was upside down and 2 puppeteers were electricuded in the blood shower but did live
It was because they used the spinning room from Tina's death which caused the gimbal to go off balance.

The 3rd I would say is the most universally loved sequel by fans. The rest are just ok.
Scream did nods to other movies including A Nightmare on Elm St. Tatum wore a number 10 jersey like Johnny Depp wore in this.

Soundtrack for this movie is so 80’s😆
As I watch this reaction with...SHOES ON THE BED...the horror...(nod to Apocalypse Now)

Great reaction! Totally need to check out the others for sure for more in depth origin of Fred and the dream world!
Really great Charles Bernstein score.

Pre 21 jump stjohnny is actually the oldest of the kids at 24
Practical effects once again demolishes CGI.

Yeah I was so surprised!! Ahahah ooo can’t wait to watch the next ones! 🤍

Best horror movie of all time
😎 If it's of interest, this film spawned five sequels, each one with a different director. 👻
Where can I get one of those phones. Also, holding out for Alien!
ya nasty 🤣
Not your heart rate showing as normal during Tina’s death scene and everything haha.

Wait'll you see part 2 Quoka😮
React all horror movies leather-face Michael Mayes Jason vorrheels pennywise IT chapter 1 and 2 and Pinhead
Don't pick up your ☎️ 👅
Forget jack sparrow's entrance johnny ha the best death ever and more blood than any other human 5k gallons was used and they had to do in 1 take
React to Spellbinder (Tim Daly, Kelly Preston 1988). Eighties cheese and eighties creepiness rolled into one. You won't regret it.
The Elm Street franchise was fun as a kid who had lucid dreams. Actually tried to take a bag of money out of a dream once. So disappointing. lol
🎥How sweet, fresh meat!🎩🧤🧣🥩
Explaining the ending: Nancy defeated Freddy, but her friends plus her mom died. The ending is basically the moms dream since she died.
I enjoyed the reaction. Is your playback speed correct? Seems faster than what I know.

What's your opinion on wearing shoes in bed?😂
