that bomb attack on the bridge was pinpoint accurate - so satisfying 👌 super concise and clear video, as always. Keep it up 👍👏
Thanks, it was just to illustrate you can be accurate. Normally, just remember to attack length ways so you're not relying on being more accurate than you need to be lol
You make it look so easy.... a piece of cake. And I'm sure it does with practice, practice, practice!
Always a wealth of information and great pointers, thanks!!
Too much practice can make things look easy I agree. I just like having an ideal example for you guys to work from 🙂
Your videos are exactly what I need, and they’re also just pure entertainment as well. Thanks for continuing to make new videos🙏🏻
Cheers Bob!
It just gets better and better! The chalkboard sound, the svelte voice AND learning how to kill things with one of the best weapons platforms in the game!! Ahhhh.... ;-)
At least one of those elements is true! Shooting things with its rockets is so satisfying :)
Thank you for making this video tutorial covering the effective employment of the Hawker Typhoons bombs and rockets for us.
That accuracy is unreal. Fantastic display of skill
Excellent as always!
always good to visit your channel
your advices for proper use of techniques are top notch
Thanks D P, this isn't something I found in any original documentation but is just a technique that I found that works after testing it for a while. Adjusting the sight makes life easier though when attacking if you stick to the profile

Thx for your work mate
As a ground attacker I realy benefit from your vids
Really well explained. Thank you
Very educational .Thanks for your time and effort.
Varsity moves I can only hope to emulate. Thanks for the great tutorial.
Cheers, with practice you'll get the hang of it :)
awesome!
I had no idea that the gunsight could be adjusted like that! This calls for some investigation...
Another great vid, Req. See ya at the next one!
It's a little feature but comes in handy for this airplane. Just remember to reset it if you have to shoot at airplanes! lol
Looks easy...thanks for the heads up!!
Once you give it a couple of attack runs you get a feel for it
Hi, you'vids are super handy
Cheers Liam
Hello, first of all thanks for the video, it's very well made.
I've a question related to the altitude reference.
Do you release the bomb by looking at the altimeter reading or just by "feeling" of the right moment?
I've seen in the video part related to the bridge bomb attack, that you start the attack at around 3700 feet (according to the onboard altimeter), than start the 20° dive and release bomb at around 1700 feet (according to the instrument). In the explanation you refer to 3000 feet for start and 1000 feet for the release. Why is there around 700 feet of offset?
Thanks
3700ft is altitude MSL (Mean Sea Level) while 3000ft is height AGL (Above Ground Level). The elevation of that area is 700ft above sea level, hence the difference.
I'm curious how you came up with these attack parameters. Was it trial and error in game, or is there some reference material you used? Seeing you hit the bridge made me realize that I ought to graduate from "gut feel yeeting" of ordinance.
I always try and use historically based techniques when I can find them, but in situations like the Typhoon when I can't find an exact technique I usually start out with a standard attack profile then see how it goes and make adjustments as needed. The nice thing with the Typhoon is the adjustable sight, so that can be set to accommodate whatever profile you come up with.
First of all: Great Vid. Very helpful for those Ground Attackers. Would these Techniques also apply to the Tempest, or would you have to make a different approach in that aircraft?
The Tempest doesn't have the adjustable sight so you would have to apply the sight picture from the Typhoon and make the same kind of entries for it to work.
@@RequiemsACTL Ok, nice. I'll give that a go then. Thanks a lot.
Was that a little Marder that got a rocket to the face? Germans had so many self propelled guns its kinda hard to keep track of them, lol, excellent video as usual, man you have a knack for this stuff, you could have been a good pilot back in WW2
Yep, it was a Marder I believe. The rockets are just so effective at anything!
quick question regarding your view - it looks like you are moving the body left and right using the buttons instead of trackir. is it possible to combine those two?
I only use TrackIR, but I believe you can do that using a snap view key so as long as you hold the key down you override TrackIR I think
I'm guessing any other plane with this sight can use similar techniques?
Yep, follow the same principle and aiming position it will work
Very clear & useful. Thanks. Only comment would be to give height in metres too (about 1000).
Fair enough, the only reason I didn't give it in meters is because the Typhoon altimeter is measured in feet.
Imperial units are the units of aviation nowadays so it's worth learning them.
Do you also fly online? I would love to see some compilation of your kills in a video like The sheriff.
Yeah I do but I haven't flown Il-2 online recently as I've been focused on DCS at the moment. I've never been a big "kill compilation" guy myself, but I think the closest thing I'd have to that would have been my Twitch livestreaming compilation video which is around somewhere...
@@RequiemsACTL alright no big deal. I was just curious about Ur dogfight skills that's all. Your video are very stunning keep it up!
I think the ap rockets were mainly used for anti-submarine warfare so using ap rockets against tanks would probably be less realistic than normal rp3
Rockets are definitely my poorest air-to-ground skill, primarily because they are hard to aim and secondarily because I have no idea how much ordinance it takes to eliminate some of the heavier targets. I've lost count of the many Tigers I've wasted all my rockets on in separate runs with no discernable damage dealt.
Once you get your technique down you'll find the Typhoon rockets are the best ones in the game. They pack such a big punch and are super satisfying to use. Against tanks I don't think you need to shoot all 8 at once like I did though.
For some reason I cant equip rockets only lets me do it on the spitfire and not the typhoon
You're not mistaking the Tempest for the Typhoon right? You could also possibly be limited in equipping them based off the date if you're in a career or something
@@RequiemsACTL I think it’s based on the date I’ll check it out again and let you know.
@@RequiemsACTL You were right its the tempest. I have to get Battle of Normandy. Ill wait until they release it on steam later this year.
Gpu plis?
Rtx 3070
Yes, but when you're playing War Thunder and thus you don't have such a realism level ?
Snail got you down?
The principle of how to perform this attack should still apply. If you can't adjust the sight downward in WT then you'll need to imagine where the correct aiming point is relative to your fixed sight position.
yea nah m8
Attacking or executing a tiger lol
Yeah...that many rockets was overkill I think lol
Would love tutorials ON the ME410 if your still playing this game
