I can honestly say that your music has saved my life as well as many others, and you have been a positive influence on my life. So my question is, how does it feel to know that your music has positively influenced so many people? Thank you. -Mandy
Were you genuinely upset that you couldn't have a full band for your set at the Newport Folk Fest? It was an amazing performance by the way. It was the highlight of that day for me.
Dallas, how have you become so comfortable performing music that is written about such personal stuff? There is some vulnerability in putting music out there that is so deep. I have some songs that I have written that I feel like put me in a very open and honest state to people who may listen, kind of like your stuff, and for this reason I have not really pushed my music as much as I would like to. What are your thoughts?
Would you consider doing a solo music tour like when you first started out? I love the band atmosphere but I have seen you once solo a few years ago in Edmonton, then twice, L.A and Edmonton again with the band. The solo stuff blew me away, and we kind of get a sniff of it when you do your solo songs in your current set list, but a full set list of solo stuff would be amazing!
Greg here from St. Catharines. I was wondering a) when are you going to play some shows down here because we all miss you and b) when the next City & Colour album is coming up. Thanks man, you're the greatest.
Hiii Dallas, my name is Lucas , i from Brazil and i love your music. You 're The Best! You have plans to visit Brazil??? Milions peoples in Brazil loves you!
Hey Dallas! Your music is truly magnetic. In your album Sometimes, in the last song you sing that "i'm so full of endless rhymes, about the way I feel inside." Now that you've been a musician for awhile, and have been touring with 2 bands/constantly doing shows, do the endless rhymes still come to you as frequent? and do you find yourself before using them in a song, that your analyzing, or being more critical of the lines you use now versus back then?
How do you go from a fast paced, almost metal, band with screaming to a solo acoustic project, and make them both work without losing your artistic integrity? (which is to say I think they're both artistically sound, great projects)
Not exactly related to C&C But when AlexisonFire does the farewell tour starting December 27th, could you guys play every song off the first album......it'd make my life?!
do you enjoy being a household name or would you rather play in really small intimate venus?? by the way you are an inspiration and will always be one of my favourite musicians of all time. thank you for your music
Dallas, when ever I visit Toronto and you aren't on tour could we meet up for coffee sometime? I don't really like coffee but it'd be nice to sit down and talk to my hero. You've done so much for me that the least I could do is buy you a cup of joe.
Russell Haskins of Vancouver, You've agreed and are preparing for one last tour with Alexisonfire, reports have said that concert goers can expect 20+ songs. Anything different we can expect?
When you plan to have the new album out? and would you consider having Alecia Moore (Pink) to do guest backing vocals on a track? (What makes a man collaboration was amazing!)
Hey Dallas, my name is Tyler Moore. I'm from a small town in Ohio, somehow i found your music at the right moment in my life, I was wondering how a fan could by a coffee for you? If i'm ever in Toronto, would it be possible for me to buy a cup of joe. All that you've done for me in the past year, it's the least i could do.
Dallas Green, you're the only thing getting me through right now. I'm a musician as well, and i would love to become half as great as you, any tips on how to broaden my skills on guitar? Did you sit down with a list of chords and tabs or did you simply teach yourself, improving throughout the years?
I heard 'The Girl' in a great little indie movie called Moon Point. Are you generally receptive to film people asking to use your music in their projects, or do you make them beg and plead?
Have you ever played a show where you saw something in the audience that made you take pause... so that you forgot where you were at in the song you were playing? :)
Was wondering if there is any chance that touring will alexisonfire for one last time will make you want to continue with them, even for only a few more tours? And also if as City and Colour do you plan to come to Scotland anytime soon again as you were fantastic at T in the Park 2011
If you could go back in time and change one thing that you've done in your music career, what would it be? PS, Thanks for putting St. Catharines on the map :)
This is a weird question, but do you ever get notes that are tossed on-stage after your shows? Because I wrote a particular one in 2009 saying you'd saved my life, which your music kind of did. I've always wondered if that's a message you get from a lot of fans or if Hope for Now has anything to do with fans telling you this (because I'm guessing I'm not the only one). -Jessica
