edit: added the disclaimer because people for some reason see a 1 hour 25 minute video within like. a week of publishing the other video, click it, and are surprised to find out that i don't have the superhuman ability to replay the entire danganronpa series to reinvigorate my brain and the patience required to go back over not only my least favourite character in the entire series, but a two-hour essay written in response to a two-year-old video essay, analyse the arguments provided, and Destroy The Panta With Fucks And Ligma in that timeframe, and instead decided to just play baldur's gate 3 for a while.

in all seriousness: the kokichi nonsense is not an argument i'm willing to return to. it does not really affect my life significantly if people think kokichi is good or bad - arguably the revival of the discourse benefits me through ad revenue in december, regardless of how you feel. my mind's made up on this niche fictional character - but don't hate or like him for my approval or disapproval, and for the love of all that is good left in the world, don't harass his fans on my behalf. but additionally don't harass ME on the other video creator's behalf. i haven't watched their video because it's two hours long and i have better things to do with my life than watch a feature-length movie where the key point of 'kokichi is good actually' and make an actual response to it when i hated the process of making the first video.
i still do not like him at all, and think the ultimate execution of his character, while i now agree is thematically appropriate, does not do the concept justice and i still had to sit through his character. but v3 has been released for almost seven years now, in an age of gaming where there's no need to remake any of the games (they're all still available on current-gen devices and hold up today). there's no real need to remake the games to remake him, especially since i've found that every fan-made attempt to do so has either exacerbated problems or closed up issues in one field only to rip open more in another, and i include some of my own attempts in that. my original video was rather flawed, but because some of the arguments i made weren't particularly well thought out, not because of Negative Bias. i also just did not categorically like engaging with shit i hated.
i don't mind if the Age of Kokichi Hatred is over, i got more shit to worry about these days, but like, shouldn't uplifting her video over mine be a priority since i don't care enough to learn who they are? good for her, i hope she finds success.

you severely overestimated my abilities if you thought i could throw together a legitimate and coherent 90 minute video essay within a matter of days haha
@@DetectiveNyx That's not what I mean. I respect that you won't make a full video talking about it. Just don't trick people into clicking on this video because they think that's what they're going to get. You should've titled this video differently, that's all.
again, nobody can throw together a 90 minute video essay responding to a 2 hour video essay responding to a 40 minute video essay in a week

I honestly think it shouldn't have any fights or anything similar to that regarding favorite characters or characters people like, everyone has their opinions on certain characters and that's completely fine, the thing we should know is how to respect other's opinions and others to respect our opinions.

Not to be rude but I don't get how their video is petty? All they did was prove that kokichi is not OBJECTIVELY badly written and that it's up to the person watching to choose SUBJECTIVELY to like him or not

@@bluefacestan1826 The arguments made in the video aren't just Aeris's it's actually common misconceptions so I understand why they would make a video about it. The "it doesn't matter" isn't really a valid argument imo because considering the like count and the comments, it did matter to some people but let's agree to disagree. No hate to either creators I just don't think it's fair to say their video is petty and it doesn't matter.
