As a paediatric cancer patient, I was so happy when I found out that 10% of sales from the Golden Gratitude Estie were going to St Jude's. So few brands ever do anything in childhood cancer awareness month so I was really happy to see a pen brand do something.

I’m so happy you reviewed these two. I promised my next Estie would be the pump filler and I’ve been waiting for one I liked. Back to the land came out and I’ve been on the fence about the green version. The golden gratitude benefiting St Jude was a no brainer, I had to support the cause and I haven’t seen a gold pen that masterful before.

I’m always happy to hear the Esterbrook pens have good nibs. I have 4, only one had a good nib - the first one I got. (Sad face). Saving to have the 3 tuned.
If you get a pen with a bum nib reach out to the retailer you purchased it from. Don't have to save up to send off a nib to get it fixed if there was an issue out of the box.

Wow, I truly think modern Esterbrooks are way overpriced, but these Back to the Land pens are just awesome, the green looks like my fern green Sheaffer snorkel from the 50s, I need to get me one 👍
I Have a Back to the Land blue one. It’s an amazing writer. You nailed it. Capping is sublime. Mine didn’t come with a nib wipe. 😢 bought it from Brian at DC pen show
MAAAN!!...I didn't need to buy another pen right now but went for a Avacado and left with a Winter weather beauty!
That pen holder sounds like it has a good magnetic connection so you just need to clip it onto a notebook cover; something with some structure to it, rather than a flexible cover. I didn't think I'd like the Back To The Land pens, but this one is starting to appeal to me.

Great brand and great quality, but a bit out of my budget, the Esterbrook Estie black I have is just perfect... Those looks so good.

I love my Estie. If iwould get another it would have to be an oversize version. These pens are really nice with the 70s homage with the colors. My avacado green hand mixer still works, lol.
I do remember neing the back seat of a station wagon and thoroughly enjoyed the view. Also, adults left you alone 😊.
The pen is a great writer and stylish. The box for the ink bottle is great and one that i would toss.

My friend growing up had a green milkshake machine, but you had to watch out. If you touched one part of it you got mildly electrocuted LOL

I saw that same fridge in a clients garage a few months back they used for a beer fridge etc. Still working without issue after all those years!
I have lots of old fountain pens and lost of fountain pen inks and lots of dip pens too. I don't use them anymore.
I really don't miss them since I found the PENTEL ENERGEL pens a few years back. Amazing ink flow and three different nib tips. The super thin is too scratchy but the others are like writing on silk. They are inexpensive and come in many colors.
BTW, they are made in Japan.

That makes me think of Diamine Spring Green. Like a fresh squashed caterpillar. 😄 (sorry I grew up in the country & am an art major) Although I find the pen with the ink can influence how well you like it and it does look nice with that pen. I never had the right pen.
I use my spring green as a mixer ink now. Something like 3 or 4 drops of Diamine Marine to 1 drop of spring green makes a nice coke bottle color.
Just bought my first Estie at a pen show two weeks ago and it instantly entered my top five. Got the Funky Lake and absolutely love it.

That green pen really looks outdated 70's actual representation.
I slept on Esterbrook for a few years, but I got my Bleu Nouveau with a Needlepoint nib which is really nice for people with a light touch who write very small. I missed the train on Cosmic Wine, but I'm planning to get my second Estie later this year.
The range of nib options is great, and if you add an MV adapter it gives even more options with being able to us vintage pens

It looks gorgeous! The Estie is such a comfortable pen. I have two oversized ones, but the original size also looks great.
Timeless design, lots of nib options, even custom one, and that Quirky Leaf speaks to me big time!

I really enjoy my Estebrook pens. Their pens and nibs are fabulous! Their marketing is top notch too. You're the first one to show the station wagon blotting card. very cool.
I saw the blotter cards but didn't really look closely and then there it was! They were really on point with this one!
Nice bright Estie, but not my style. I'm not on Instagram ( Wouldn't join an account which would accept me as a member. 🤥 ) anyway. I do have an Estie Raven and it also took me a while to get familiar with the spring loaded capping mechanism.
Only took me a few days of use to get used to the spring cap but I love how it provides a nice seal in return.
Too bad I don't do Instagram... 😮💨

Don’t you think that’s a bit low? DB isn’t pedaling anything for sale and I rather enjoy passion from a reviewer. Many reviews today are paid advertisements so it’s refreshing when people go out of their way to provide an “honest” unpaid review.
