I lived in Normal, IL for about a year and a half and Starved Rock was my favorite place to visit. Back home in the southwest, now. Could not handle the cold in Central Illinois.
Right, I’ve always just wanted to live a simple and happy life, that’s a whole life goal, easy to say but hard to achieve it, I’m glad I have some pieces of it I’m proud of
First time I saw the self cooking food combination that you add cold water and cooks the meal, certainly it has to do with the pouch that was uncovered and water was added at the bottom. Very interesting?
yes, there is a nice one about 3 miles from channahon state park. you cant drive there but you can hike there or ride a bike with your gear there. me and friends from hammock forums go there all the time.
You might not be able to now or later on, because it said only for guests, and also I went there before it warmed up, so it was still cold season, not a lot people going. I like car camping winter season because most of places are closed, so east to get around with it. You could try, but be careful of getting tickets or towed away.
I don’t think it’s allowed. The parking lot says for hotel guest only, but because it’s off season, and it’s freezing winter, so no one checks. I’m just taking risk of getting a ticket or towed away 😉😜
99 ranch market( a Chinese super market chain) There isn’t any in Chicago. I found those at H-mart when I moved to Chicago the first couple weeks, then couldn’t find it anywhere anymore. But you can get them on Amazon, it’s pricy though. I’m moving back to California end of May, there are tons of them in LA. Will try all of them in my future videos in CA

Fabulous cooking!
Thanks
I did not know you can park there overnight - great videos - I live in Chicago its interesting how you park next to a camp site and cool places
Thanks
That's cool! What is this hot pot? Where do you get it?

And very convenient for camping, no cooking and washing dishes.

I really enjoy your videos. I was wondering have you been to Turkey Run or Shades State Park in Indiana yet? Those are my 2 favorites in the state.
It’s in my calendar, going soon.
@@jiaojiaotian at Turkey Run, don't miss trail 3. It's absolutely incredible, and might also be difficult due to the water levels.
nice area , we go hammock camping along the I&M trail near McKinley woods all the time,

Love your videos. I have to ask, so you sleep in your car in state parks? Is that allowed?
Thanks, if any state parks allow camping, this is camping
@@jiaojiaotian so you reserve a campsite?
It's illegal to park overnight at the lodge unless you're renting a room or cabin
Beautiful. What software/app did you use to edit your footage?
Just iMovie

Hey my fiance and I were looking to car camp as well. What fees did you pay at the campsite? Basically... How do you car camp hahaha
