    Beautifully done video . You really capture the peace and tranquility. No fancy selfies and some useful ideas. That electric pan looks good.

    Love your videos! So calming. I see you have a RAV4 Hybrid. I just got a Highlander Hybrid for camping. Do you think that will work? How do you like yours? Do you run the heat when parked? Thanks!

      Just got it last thanksgiving, love it.
      I never run my car when I’m sleeping, just personal choice, even it’s -16 degrees in the snow.

      So, This may not be a fit for you; But I use a Group31 Deep Cycle Battery(Super Start Marine-Oreilly's$120)
      I am able to run a 12volt Electric Blanket for 12 hours, on HIGH(45Watts)
      So far, I am only using about 30%ish over 12 hours. Its obviously not going to help the inside air, but it feels amazing to have the heated blanket. (NOCO makes a $10 Cigarette Lighter Socket that Clamps to the Battery, Its a very safe setup)
      Downside is that it weighs 62lbs(sits on floor board in the back seats) I deal with the weight cause expected it.

      In addition, There is a 682BTU Personal Heater on Amazon($20) And i believe I could run that Off and On to knock out the chill in the air. 682BTU SHOULD Work for 60-80Cubic Feet of interior space. But i do not know this for a fact, yet.
      (I would run that through a cheap inverter off of my deep cycle battery NOT the car)

    Did you pay for a campsite? I did not know that they allow you to arrive so late? Next time, try Indiana Dunes State Park. Great hiking.

    • @jiaojiaotian
      @jiaojiaotian  3 года назад +1

      Yes, reserved campsite before I went.
      late arrival is fine, just go get the stickers the next day.

    Can you tell me the brand bame of your cooking heater and coffee maker. Very useful

    • @jiaojiaotian
      @jiaojiaotian  3 года назад

      The cookware is a 600 watts electric cookware from Amazon, people use it for travel because of the size, and the coffee maker is a backpacking French press from REI.

    Does your vehicle have a plug in for the hot pot? Does it run off aux plug in (cig lighter)?

    • @jiaojiaotian
      @jiaojiaotian  3 года назад +3

      I wouldn’t plug in a 600 watts cookpot in the cigarette lighter, don’t think it’s a good idea.
      I have a 1100 watts solar generator.

    I am always a little confused though, because all the state parks I’ve looked into close at dark. No overnight parking like this. I’m in Ohio. I think a ranger or trooper comes and makes people leave

    • @jiaojiaotian
      @jiaojiaotian  3 года назад +1

      I just moved to Chicago not long ago, so still learning all the rules here in the Midwest, I lived in California, so I know where to park there, I’m certainly learning my way out here for camping.
      For the areas I don’t know, I will definitely go to the campsites, otherwise I’m boon-docking most of the time. From my setup, it’s hard to tell someone sleeping in there.
