We ventured across Ohio's western border into Indiana to visit Potato Creek State Park. This was our first time camping in an Indiana State Park. A stretch of route 30 W was closed so the drive ended up being just over 4 hours. Potato Creek State Park is a huge park. After you check in at the main gate, you proceed to the campground which is approximately 3 miles around the lake. The park offers bike rentals, boat rentals and lots of hiking and mountain bike trails. The campstore had a lot of supplies. There is a nice, paved bike trail that goes around the park. We met up with our friends Mike & Lynn from @Wandering Wagners. Homemade pizza is becoming a Friday night tradition. On Saturday we explored the park and visited Porter Cemetery. Saturday evening we shared a campfire with Mike and Lynn. The mosquitos were really bad this weekend. There was no Verizon data signal, but the phone signal was sporadic. We will definitely visit this park again in the fall or winter to do the hiking trails!
I've stayed at Potato Creek 6 times now and keep going back every year because we like it so much. The bike trail, and the mountain mike trails are awesome.
@@FollowingtheFitchs I recently spent 1 night at Prophetstown State Park on my way through Indiana into Michigan. Stayed in site 108, it's great in that section, tall trees on both sides that make you feel more isolated than you really are. The park is done really nice. Each campsite number is etched in stone, they have a secondary gate for the campground (so only campers can get in that area) and lots of paved walking/biking trails. They have a large aquatic center, but lack the front and center lake or river access that most parks are usually built around (there is a trail that leads to a nearby river). Overall though, I really enjoyed the park and wish we had planned to stay there longer than just 1 night.
CAMPFIRE SAUCE by the bottle - omg we need that now!!!!! 🤯 SwagOut - WooHoo we’ll be there! Was that a Stillwrights shirt? Love it! We always want to see your tools Dave! 😆❤️ - Michelle & Brian
Tool videos for sure. Go through each pocket, of the bag, the way we did at the Mohican Meetup so Bill can find the right tools faster. Might I suggest tool unboxings as well, but only if it is as thorough as the pizza unboxing you did.
Tools and spare parts for sure, I have been wondering about surge protectors, I need to get one, our camper is a 50 amp but some places only have 30 amp so do I need both?
We have the progressive industries EMS hardwired one. It protects against high surge and also low voltage as well. If your rig is 50 amp, get the 50 amp surge protector and then you can get the 50 amp to 30 amp adapter or dog bone. When we were at Mohican Wilderness the sites across from us were only getting 100-104 volts from the campground post when it was really hot during the day. The surge protectors definitely protected people’s air conditioners.

We absolutely LOVE Potato Creek! And NO mosquitoes!!! Wonderful paved bike paths through the woods. Huge spaces between RVs.

It’s a pretty nice place. We need to get back over there this summer! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hey guys. Great video. Looks like a really nice park. Thanks for sharing. Take care. Kent and Tami
It was really nice! We’ll get back over there maybe this fall. Thanks for watching!
Our nicest park is Prophetstown State Park near Lafayette, IN. Best hiking is at Turkey Run State Park.
We need to check out both of them soon! Thanks for watching!

That campfire sauce is the ticket!
@@FollowingtheFitchs Can we buy it by the case? 😆
Just don’t read the bootle and find out how many calories are in each serving. You won’t want it anymore 🤣
@@FollowingtheFitchs Noted! But I think I will always want it. LOL
I laughed at the proton pack joke..🤣
Andrea doesn't get the humor as much!
Yes tools and kit videos
Marie and I love checking out old cemeteries. Good to see you two are out and about.
I need to update my tool bag so I'd enjoy seeing what you have in yours.
Sounds good!
Sounds like a video
I hope you had a towel in that spare parts bag.
Ever since you started commenting on our videos I’ve upped my supply.
Looked like a nice campground and a great time!! That sauce looked intriguing! Shoot the tool video!
I would like to see spare parts and tools videos. Like to see what you carry so we can be prepared.
I’ll work on those soon!
That place has more skeeters than we do in Fla.
Oh man, they were terrible!
Looks like a beautiful park!

Oh man if Mike only knew all that ice cream was in the store😂 #swagnation #swagout3
Ice cream for days in there!
Ghosts in the afternoon???? Every one knows ghosts come out after midnight. Thanks for feeding our mosquitoes
Funny you say that because Mike and I were even saying if there are ghosts, then why aren't they out all the time? Are they nocturnal?😂
I would like to see the spare parts video.
I’ll get it shot sometime soon!
