Wow! That was so inspiring. I know that is said often, but I really mean it. Also, I am very jealous of the people just walking past. I know they have places to be, but I want them to just stop and listen!
honestly one of my favorite interpretation, when i imagine how often i heard that piece. additionally it's cool how the fast part fits to the people in rush :D 2:25
Dear Timothy - I just wish I had taken the metro on that same exact day and time!! I keep watching you over and over -- you are absolutely great! Keep at it - forever - and enjoy!!!!!! *from a piano teacher... ;) *
Thank you for sharing your talent and dedication, Timothy. This beautiful video makes me miss Montréal, too! Please play a concert in New York sometime soon.
Drew Schlegel deserves high praise too!!! Many of us know what the sound levels are like in the metro when those trains pull in and out. Super courageous work from all. And tons of fun!!
I grew up close to the Hungarian boarder. This kind of music makes me want to (grab someone and) dance. Can't get how people can just walk by. It's so splendid to teach kids move to different volume and tempi, too. My little ones love it.
Well deserved banana! The video is funny and the interpretatation is sober and perfect. I don't like excessive virtuosity in playing the Czardas, as we frequently can listen.
Oh wow! You are such a talented musician! Instant subscription from me. Baffles me that there aren't more views on this. Your technique and just how happy you look while playing is such a joy to watch!
Oh wow!!! I saw the beginning of the video and thought "holy shit I've been there!" :D As soon as I saw the floor pattern I knew it was Lionel-Groulx. Sounds amazing btw ✨️
Before the piano starts, do you hear, in the ambient sounds of the subway, the faint theme of Erich Korngold’s Violin Concerto mvmnt 1? So cool. Did the people of Montreal have any idea what a spectacular artist was in their midst?
I have held on for years to my wish to move back to Montreal one day. I now count this among the reasons. edit: moved back to montreal; wasnt as good as i remembered. what i actually wanted was to be a teenager again. moved to hawaii after.
Seems strange that you dont hear the trains coming in the station. Maybe he separately recorded the music then set it to the video. Really a great job. Anytime you need train fare, just let me know.
I just discovered you. I’ve listened to your Tchaik, Round of Goblins, Banjo n Fiddle and now this. You’re truly an amazing violinist. I’m curious to know if you have been influenced by Li Chuanyun?
Beautiful performance. You are one of the few violinist who play this piece with a smile on your face. That’s great. Best wishes.
One of the best Czardas version I have heard on RUclips.
Excellent
(I guess he is also practicing 40 hours a day !!!)
anyone else notice the - I don't want to take my Stradivarius into the subway - replacement violin
can't risk it haha!
That's exactly the first question popped out of my mind when I see the violin: is that the Strad?
@@timmychooi LOL! really!!
It’s not his Stradivari-it’s on loan-so even if he did want to play on this video, you blame him for not.
Wow!
That was so inspiring. I know that is said often, but I really mean it.

Totally unplanned but it fit so well!
This is impressive. Telling us that a good song comes from a superb skill. Not from an expensive instrument.
Sooo true

So where was the piano guy hiding in all of this?
It’s electronic accompaniment
No they recorded it in a studio and played that recording in this video even though he busked with the piece
@@skogsmyra He could've been confused so we provided an answer
It was in the smartphone (see the beginning of the video).

Wonder if those commuters realise how fortunate they are to hear this.
