@@oldpocketknives168 Yeah they are like a dark grey color. Get a bit lighter at the ends. I read that if it doesn't say the steel anywhere on it it's probably CV. I just find that hard to believe because it's old and there is no discoloration on the blades at all. Just a bit on the stamp area.
Beautiful Case knife! Love that pattern!!
awesome Canoe from when Case was Case. the stag ones with the scout in a canoe etched on them are awesome also from that period
Another great video.
Glad you enjoyed it...more to come!
Good video. Don’t forget to oil the joints.
that's right!
Or your girlfriend.
great video what kind of polishing cloth did you use?
I mostly use a cotton cloth (old t shirt works) for everyday stuff but to give them a real polish I use the Sunshine Cloths.
I have one from 1986. I think it's SS but it only says 62131 on it and doesn't have the SS or a CV or anything else.
Nice! Case made some nice canoes in the 80s. It sounds like yours has bone handles?

Soak your knife in mineral oil. It will clean the knife and it's good for the bone handle.
Thanks, I will give a mineral oil bath a try!
I think vaseline is not that bad if it preserved the knife for more than 50 years :)
