Great work out! I have a heart problem, I had to start with medicine but first I wanted to try and work on my (heart) condition. I found this workout on YT and since 3 weeks I workout everyday for 15 minutes. My bloodpressure is gone down, I'm no longer short of breath and no more pain on the chest. I feel healthy and I'm in much better shape.
I've just done this workout for the first time today, as I was a little short on time. The fact is that this turned out to be an excellent choice, and very effective workout. By the end of the 15 minutes my legs were burning, my heart rate raised and lowered as it was supposed to within the instructions, as well with my effort levels. A couple of days ago I've done the 30 minutes hill climbing, and it was just as good! Don't bother with people who may be saying this is an unacceptable workout. They probably just need a little more time on the saddle to complete and understand a workout like this. Many thanks for this and the other videos, guys! It is a fantastic work!!
That's one way to get the heart pumping strong! Second day on this cardio session and I must say I Love it! This is a lifestyle now for me! All about my health and Longevity for my kids in the end I really wanna be around when they all grow up and learn they can think for themselves!
Just got a spin bike to compliment my outdoor bike. I used this 15 minute trainer in my own way. I kept cadence with beat of the music, giving more resistance thru it. It was excellent for me, 63yo. Thank you, I will look for more of your training vids and use this one again. Thanks !
I haven't advanced myself to outdoor cycling yet, but your 15 and 20 minute videos are my favorite. I do the same ones over and again because I like the intensity and durations. Thanks for making videos for us bodybuilders who are looking to transition to endurance activities.
@@Berkcam thanks for the suggestion. Since posting this 2 years ago I've gotten a used Giant OCR and I regularly ride several days a week. For short sessions I'll either use a trainer or my rollers. Do you sprint cycle or do you go the distance?
I like these videos, not for cycling, but while I’m on my elliptical. Same idea...high intensity work, cool down, speed up, cool down, etc. Thanks for making them available - i like the countdown timers.
Great morning workout! "Rode" for a few more minutes to make it to 5 miles, and plan on racing through more videos. Now I can say I "rode" in Mallorca with a world class cyclust- whoo hoo!!
I use this when my 9 month son is asleep and I can't just man up and head out in the rain (and i do). Its ace! Great video to watch, great workout and great info graphic to keep me disciplined. Thank you so much. And a massive thank you for ALL your videos. I'm fairly new to road biking and they have helped sooo much with all those little things you only know once you know them...you know what i mean (what happens when you run out of tubes, how to corner better, etc). And definately ignore that fool who was bitching about the video. Its free you fool! Some people...
I have 2 suggestions. Put timer somewhere to the side so that we can enjoy the scenery. We don't stare at our garmin all the time anyway. And maybe for timer have it spin once showing entire duration rather then one circle repeating over and over. But thanks for the great video. Definatly better then last years just because of the actual climb
Excellent, thank you so much! My wife purchased an inexpensive Velocity excersize bike with just a simple hand tensioner on the wheel. I made a cheap holder to place our iPad on it, found your videos here on RUclips and now it feels like a top quality trainer. You rock! 😄
I'm just starting out with a bike trainer to try and get fit. I was wondering what my cadence sensor was good for prior to this. Now I know. I may not have been in as high of gears as you, but I kept up the best I could and I'm drenched. So fun. Thanks!
GCN this is Epic! Favorite, bookmarked, and placed into its own Playlist. I do not know of any other training videos like this on RUclips. You guys are on to something big if you wish to do so with the other Epic climbs that you have produced for us. Please please please make more of these videos!
great workout. I too was very surprised that such a short workout could make me be a sweaty mess by the end of it. Looks like I'll enjoy the GCN indoor training videos!!!
Lucky me! I was going to have a training session and went on to your channel to get on of the old videos and saw that you uploaded this one :D So I did this one and followed it up with the 45min sprint session from last year. Hope to see more training videos :)
Great trainer!! Awesome workout!! You made easy to follow. I suffer from asthma and with the fires and smoke in California I must stay indoors and use my recumbent bike. I’ll definitely continue to come to your site! Thanks!!@65&thrive👊🏼👩🏻
I've been waiting for videos like this one. I hope GCN can produce more videos like this. If possible can u guys create longer videos (1hr - 3 hr duration). keep up the good work GCN one more thing, maybe if u guys have some time, make one video that explain in detail regarding the effort level. what would be feel like at every effort level in terms of breathing, heart rate and the feel of the muscles. This is for those that does not have a clear picture about effort level
I have spent considerably time on an indoor training and have found that what works best for me is a video of an actual group of riders on a training ride or in a race. As the peloton rotates, you can put yourself on the bike with the camera, and up your tempo accordingly. As you chase down "rabbits", you can also increase your effort just as if you were there. I would believe you guys as GCN could produce some really great training videos of your actual group rides around the UK. Thanks for all that you do for bicyclist around the world.
Outstanding cardio workout! Personally recommend 10 or more minutes variable speed and resistance (out of the saddle, too) pedaling at the end for heart rate restoration.
Excellent advice and I loved the graphics. I'll try this on my workouts for hills. I can't begin to thank you and the other GCNers for all the great work they've put in and time. Where else can everyone get professional riders advice without forking out $$$$... and quality!!!, I know you are not a network and have limited equipment and funds so I appreciate all you do.
Thanks for sharing Spain with us that can't get there. It would have been nice to not have the big count-down timer so I could have enjoyed the scenery better. Now you all need to come out to Colorado and join our team training in July at elevation. We may not have the grades you all do, but there is something about riding at 12,000 feet (3600 meters)!
This has been my umpteenth trip up the Col de Soller, and I'm still finding it very useful. I have also used the newer ones (from the Dolomites, I think) but never have time for anything much over 30 minutes - so I'm really pleased that you have a variety of climbs/workouts available. They are all excellent in their own ways! (Mind you, I'm miffed that after several attempts you still haven't used any of my GCNhacks. :-( )
As a GCN fan of Mallorquin origin living in Wales I love your series from Mallorca and would love to see more. For example, Coll de Soller from the North side, Coll de sa Bataia, Coll de Femenia with its great views and the ride from Pollenca to Cabo de Formentor to name a few. There are a few others too as I'm sure you know. So, it seems churlish but, as nobody else seems to have mentioned the spelling error on this vid I will; it's Coll DE Soller, not Coll du Soller.... the ride is in Mallorca, not France ;-) Apart from that, keep the good stuff coming in 2015!
Are there going to be more videos like these? Like a training of about one hour with some intervals. That would be great. Thanks for this training, I will try it out soon.
Excellent gratis vid, keep 'em coming! Love to see one of these with Alberto; can Matt pull it off?!? Thanks for your efforts as always, much appreciated.
Great training video - I really like this one. Just two problems, the girl who tries to sell me Maybelline eye liner just at the end of the warm up and the Arab chap trying to sell me a McDonald's at the top of the climb!!
now i know, why the video so length.. i can use the video to do this workout. cycle while watching this perfect video with some direction GCN just give. tq so much for the tips
Ok when did you lot set up a camera in my study. I've just finished sorting out turbo, changed to an old tyre got the fan and PC located and first session planned for tonight. I knew your good just didn't realise how good. :-)
don't underestimate this workout it's tough. My favorite parts: watch that hard right turn (me on my spin bike, leaning to the right lol). Good workout thanks
hi gun guys, your videos rock really nice videos, i'm gonna do some climbs this summer in french alps, i'll count on these videos to improve my climbings thanks a ton
I recently discovered GCN and love the videos…they're informative and entertaining. Question: For someone using a simple recumbent in front of a big screen to assist in keeping some semblance of form over the winter, I'm interested in how the onscreen data and video on the monitor in front of Dan work. There was no info provided on the equipment setup, so newbies like myself are left thinking, "This is infinitely better than watching a 'Who's the Boss?' rerun…how has Dan accomplished this 21st century feat of wonder?" Can anyone point me to an earlier GCN video that gives details on setting up a trainer similar to Dan's, if one exists?
just a quick one, great training video but I would just like your thoughts on which you think suits this type of training, Rollers or Turbo, I've tried it with both and my thoughts are - Rollers = harder to get the heart rate up but more of an all over workout (due to core balance?) turbo = better cardio. would you agree? cheers for the channel :)
Love this GCN, but you'll need to go some way to bettering the Sufferfest videos. This, however, is free which is a bonus. I'm sure you could provide them with some stiff competition though.
Despite what users like LXremirP say, some of us must use trainers either for exercise or training and in the place of actual riding for many reasons. That said, I thouroughly enjoyed the 15 minute workout. The cadence and heart rate zones were particularly helpful. I did not think that i would get such a good workout in only 15 minutes, but if you dont cheat it is a real sh1t kicker. I guess my normal trainer sessions have been a bit tame, thanks for the motivation.

This class is a bar-setter, for sure! Thanks, GCN. I'm done!!!!

Short on time so i picked this 15 minute workout. Excellent. Legs on fire. Great workout. Love these videos. Thanks
Yes - who would have known that 15 minutes could be so painful, or more importantly, rewarding?!

Bodybuilder on a bike? You could think about sprint cycling?
@@Berkcam thanks for the suggestion. Since posting this 2 years ago I've gotten a used Giant OCR and I regularly ride several days a week. For short sessions I'll either use a trainer or my rollers.
Do you sprint cycle or do you go the distance?
I like the effort level along the bottom like that. You should bring that back
Quite fit and found myself short on time. Was I wrong thinking I'd own this work out! Great dish of humble pie! Love GCN.
I like these videos, not for cycling, but while I’m on my elliptical. Same idea...high intensity work, cool down, speed up, cool down, etc. Thanks for making them available - i like the countdown timers.
I got my trainer yesterday, I just finished this 15 minute workout. I'm wheezing haha
I'm in Texas were it's 101 outside and this is a great indoor cycling workout. Thanks so much!!

Well due to blast of busy schedule it’s great to find a fun indoor cycling videos again that can enhance my endurance. Thanks for that.
Just used this for my first turbo workout, all of your videos are amazing for a novice cyclist like myself!
I am in heaven I wish I knew this before I got High Blood but I am super fit all because of indoor biking powered by yourself. Thank you.
This Helped Me A lot. Over 2 Weeks Doing This, My Racing As Been Better And Better. Not Road Racing, But BMX Racing.. Thanks!! :)
Please do more of these. It was great!!! Just got my indoor bike and love your video!
One of the best workouts I’ve found
Really like this quick wake me up ride. Get's the blood pumping. Great way to start the morning.
Fantastic sessions with Daniel. I'm slowly getting back on bike after injury This is superb preparation before I get out on
the mountain bike again.

Did the work out right when I got up today. Was a great way to wake my body up before work with enough time to fit my morning schedule.
My favourite training video yet - thanks guys really helping in this Welsh winter weather!

A very productive 15 minutes. Much appreciated!
Loved that you combined riding outdoors with spinning! hope for more videos like this one :)
Great one! Fun, short and varied. To bad about occasional commercials though.
Amazing!!! My granny bike was transformed after this!
I'n new to turboing and just completed this. Really excellent workout, commentary kept me motivated too. Thanks!

I'm about to do this on rollers. I'm excited!
Update: Flew off the rollers twice trying to chase that 100-110 rpm cadence. But I broke a mean sweat!

great great great, more of these really really good.
If you are in Mallorca, try the same season in Col D'Honor (Bunyola) or Puig Major (since Soller) . Col de Soller it's to easy ;P
