A good lesson in throttle control as well. Reading where you need to be. Someone tested that reversing slows you faster but I think more deliberate throttle control is better. A lot of players play at full speed or no speed nothing in between.
Raining golden showers is consistent damage and all, but don't count out the AP. Aiming mid-belt/superstructure on broadside BBs can deal upwards of 4-5k consistently and can really put the hurt on them real fast. Most usful at 10 km or less, otherwise chance of shatters and bounces goes up more. Personally use Yamamoto insperation to make that less likely. Solid effort!
I am moving away from EOP. I’ve had big games firing just AP in the Cleveland, and AP always has more pen and more alpha. And then if you don’t use EOP, you have a much higher fire chance. If I remember correctly, without EOP, my fire chance on the Cleveland, using AL Baltimore, is 18%. And I’m firing 12 guns even 5 seconds. Compare that to the suzuya with AL Atago-15 guns firing every 8 seconds with a roughly 20% fire chance. It’s pretty brutal when I need that HE.
Dang I just had a match where i was on will to rebuild pretty much the whole match because of the enemy focusing no one but me lol. The entire match it was me and 3-4 other battleships side by side in a defensive line using will to rebuild and even though the enemy team was focusing me they couldn’t do enough damage to get past my healing. Probably the most fun i had in a match in a long time, me and my battleship teammates held down the fort and won by points in the end while being up 3 ships to 2. I can only imagine how salty the enemy team was that they couldn’t kill me and could have prevented what happened if they did early on.
IMO I think you really have to think about how long on average you stay alive in games too to see if its worth the trade off using EOP, I myself am trying to up my cruiser skill and watching how skilful and smooth your gameplay is with cruiser’s definitely adds fuel to the fire dude :).
Put the AA mod in slot 1, and run AOAA to become a really good AA cruiser too. The loss of 7% dispersion and 2% fire chance isn’t that noticeable, but you’ll be shutting down carriers with ease.
It's not the middle part of your shipment makes you get detected it's the highest point on your ship so whatever is the highest point so long as that's not seen you won't be seen

IMO Russian battleships have amazing armor if you can keep yourself angled so I buff mine for dispersion and armor penetration. I have Cunningham and Jaujard as my inspirations using Lev as the primary commander.
Wondering if this is a bug or not, if you’re in a light cruiser equipped with Torps and you have a target selected. I find that if I switch between torps and artillery to gauge where the targets going, auto aim stops working unless I manually de-select and re-select the same target. Anyone else having this issue? Playing on ps4 if it helps.
You over all get more damage with eop because ships with heals repair 100% of fire damage. Eith eop you get more pen damage so they repair less so you kill the target with less hits and less damage over all because the effect health is lower.
I feel like bad BB players go on reddit to compain everytime they get killed.. If it were up to them, CLs would be armed with squirt guns.. I also don't think CVs are even a popular class to play. I think bad BB players just kept crying for CVs so DDs wouldn't be a thing anymore. They never actually intended on playing as a CV.
as a primarily DD player. I would like to take a moment to offer an analogy to perhaps get this through the potatoes out there. Getting support from Battleships and Cruiser players is like trying to get Congress to pass a bill that actually really helps people ... the shit doesn't even get out of " committee " let alone making its way to the floor for a vote. I'm going to start a (gofundme) account titled " support DD'S we desperately need your fucking help !!!!!! potatoes. I have some other suggestions as well with T-BULL. SPARTAN .A RON and PETE. I find the AA skill to be a waste. Its so situational, and honestly the firestarter or range skills just seem so much more appealing to me Also EOP isn't worth it. You get so much more damage with the range/reload skill by starting fires, plus can force them to burn DCP, and EOP doesn't cross any threshholds
EoP is worth it on some ships. Firstly it is entirely not worth it on 8" gun cruisers. They have enough pen on their HE that it simply isn't an issue. The Russian 180mm gun ships can be lumped in with them since the only ones we have at present are relatively low tier so their smaller shells pen well enough. Light gun cruisers--5" and 6"--are worth it, though 5" is somewhat debatable. Before the fire nerf, 5" definitely was, now...it's a bit of a judgement call. Going all in on fire is tempting, particularly with 5", but if there are enemy ships running anti-fire perks they're going to sandbag you on fire chance and you need the additional pen to do the damage you need to do.
@@davefinfrock3324 I suppose playing some games with and without EoP is the only way to tell for sure. I use it on all of my American light cruisers partly because of how well it deals with other cruisers. 5-6k HE salvos are not uncommon against angled CAs and CLs in my Helena and Atlanta. Melts 'em like butter in a hot oven! ☔🔥🔥🔥☔
I have a question though. When hunting DD in my Dallas I’ve think I’ve noticed getting over pens when using EOP vs HE. Have you observed anything similar?
@@toectter8886 No, but I don't really watch that closely. This is a matter of fuse timing. EoP is supposedly something like base fused HE. However, this is info we don't have access to. Shell design is a pretty deep rabbit hole and how deep WG might have gone we don't know.
Just picked up the Dallas and I'm really enjoying it

When eop was first added fire chance was higher, they nerfed it. So now its harder to reach the top score.
decent repair and fire chance reduction build with an aggressive play style and you can say goodbye to your cruisers issues as a BB captain

Tbull is pretty good but if you want to see next level cruiser play watch The Hipper. I consider myself to be a good cruiser player as well.
Dallas is a lot of fun. First tier 5 I ever got
I prefer the extra radar rather than taking the EOP on my USN light Radar cruisers.
Just my take.

I know Baltimore is getting a butt soon but is that true for the AM version too. The patch notes didn't say so specifically

You should do a quick video on how the game auto aims for you. I didnt know that til today. Yes, im a new player
there are many other videos out there explaining that, go look for it

Yeah I'm not sure exactly what causes it, but like you say, deselecting and then reselecting it gets it back on track
@@TbullGaming I knew I wasn’t f****** crazy lol
Regarding a high score for a particular ship is that automatic??? or do you have to enter the score yourself?
They are submitted high scores on WGs Legends discord, so there could always have been higher score games that weren't submitted

Right?.. they complain about DDs..HE Spam CLs...CVs now. HE spam be annoying yeah but I mean one bad move the CL gets Dev Striked off the map.
Spray the enemy with these golden showers
Did Chili set the record before the EOP nerf?
Never mind, he set that record before the American commanders had EOP
