Just about anyone can be a degenerate, it depends on their levels of respect, care, and weirdness.
Trust me, I've met enough people in the gaming fandom to know. It's disappointing what so many people have turned into and really, any fandom can potentially be ones.
I respect all of the fandoms, I just think some should tone down alot of stuff, especially disrespect. It seems my community shows that the most and it's absolutely wretched.

I agree that some of them are degenerates, i'm in a server and some people there want to "smash" pictures that has a furry on it, the rest are way too friendly that is bizarre to me and few some are actually sane, but either way, at the end of the day, every community has it's dark side
I I agree on most part. Usually we join fandom from loneliness or rejection of our own peer group. Often for not be same as other peers and do not fit in. This was my case. Felt lonely and was browsing Deviant art lookign at peop,e having fun drawing and sharing art stuff. Years passed (since 2012 in my case) I am so deep inthis comunity which Ilove it. ^^ But I think there is another reason to word Degenerate. I can share my experience. I am in my late 20's and as you probably can imagine. You get to hear that a person my age should be more thinking about family, getting serious and settle down. In fact ? I am doing this and working hard to earn cash to get aplace of my own. But you get to hear that sort of thing and perople often see you as childish person who likes ''mascots''. In thier opinion you , me and everyone in the fandom should work, get home and family chores, Eat lucnh or dinner, take care of kids, get a six pack and sit in front of a tv. Nigh comes? To bed light out and wake up around 4 am. get redy to work and Cycle goes on.......People.....we do this daily -_-; It's just our hobby which we like. We live and have chores and responsibilities too. Also met wil an example like you said that furry thing is something you should be doing ina adult age. Well some adult like to get out to dance party anget drunk. Some like to dress up as anthro animals and take fur walk and get a photos with locals. Even furries do party XD. So those are my experinces. Love that ruff around your sona's neck look cute when it's all fuzzy in your shock poses XD

I highly respected anthrocon till they made all blacks the guest of honor. I thought anthrocon was the con you can go to and it didn't matter what sex or race you where, you where always treated like a equal. But because anthrocon is giving special treatment to blacks by making them the guest of honor. It gives the wrong impression, that anthrocon never had blacks be treated as equal. This is one of the reason i might find another con for furries that is not anthrocon . -Sigh- , did i say before that i highly respect anthrocon even though i never went ?, i did ok good. - sigh - Sorry for posting it on your video seethercord it just really rubs me the wrong way.
The thing that gets me is that a LOT of people focuses more on the negative side of our fandom yet they forget that ALL fandoms have a negative side to them that includes sexual, toxic and or concerning etc but for some reason unknown for the most part they get a pass but we don't! I'm part of a LOT of fandoms so I know for a fact that it's true because every now and again I actively have to avoid those things.

Furries are just too weird and too horny and they don't have a very poor understanding of how they're supposed to behave in public.
Conceptually, I don't have a problem with furries or the furry fandom. But, In my personal experience, furries are bad at respecting boundaries and are incredibly immature.
