The Divergent Trilogy. The studio got greedy and decided to split the last part into 2 movies. The first part failed and the final film was never made.
The marketing killed this movie and it was DOA when it hit movie theaters especially since critics reviews were brutal. But ironically everyone that i know that has actually seen the movie only had positive things to say about and actually enjoyed it. It’s a really shame honestly.
It's a disgrace what the studio did really. They stopped the third from being because they didn't want to put more money into it. only to make a reboot with barely a proper budget. And the result was that it was such shit they stopped any plans of making a sequel. Showed the audience why should they watch a film that played it too safe and cheap. When they could've given us a sequel that would've cost a little more but the quality would have been insanely great.
I honestly don't see the love for the original hell boy series or the original Spiderman series, like those movies were literally shit and were the furthest things from even being remotely close to the comics, the newer hellboy was awesome and actually followed a comic storyline but people refused to give it a chance because everyone is a del Toro fan boy
It's a shame that a Hellboy 3 was never made with the original cast of characters. I enjoyed the first two. Having read the Edger Rice Burroughs books as a kid I honestly didn't think the movie was bad. Enjoyed that one to.
I believe if the studio had done something as simple as keeping the original title "John Carter of Mars" the movie would have done much better. But it seems some at Disney actually wanted the movie to fail.
I didn't see it at the theaters because of their bad promotion. I didn't know what it was about. I saw it afterwards and loved it! Disney did it dirty!

And while sure he made a lot of changes had he been completely in charge from the beginning the story and movie would have been different to what was released
Ashwel Mudadi You can’t say it’s his version when he wasn’t given control. He was brought in after the fact and given a list of specific changes that the producers wanted made, they wouldn’t even allow him to keep the personal changes he made. ...great segment. i always look forward to your videos. but i think you may have forgotten to mention Pacific Rim & G.I. Joe & maybe, Underworld....
Disney did NOT start the Marvel Cin. Universe two years before Tron: Legacy. Disney didn't even own Marvel yet. They were an indie studio. A little research goes a LONG way...and keeps you from looking like a fool.
And a little filter keeps YOU from sounding pretentious.
@@carlosrendon3751 facts > feelings. Get a thicker skin if it bothers you
That Hellboy reboot was horrible. Just horrible.
Shame about Tron Legacy not getting a sequel though imo.
It was a few decades for trim to get a sequel so anything is possible
And Zack Snyders version of Justice League which he said would’ve been a trilogy 😢
It can still happen
I wish The Amazing Spiderman got a trilogy...
One not mentioned was Kick-Ass. Would've been nice to get the third comic series adapted and wrap things up.
The reason Andrew Garfield didn't get a third movie is he stood up the Head of SONY Corp, who wanted to meet Spider-Man. You don't dis the man who signs the checks of the people who sign your checks and expect to remain employed.
I actually enjoyed this version of spider man
@Angus Ng I said I enjoyed it not that I loved it lol
I wished Hell Boy 3 was made so we could've seen how Hell boy and his love raised their children.
John Carter is a guilty return to pleasure for me when I want to lose myself in a movie, great fun, also enjoyed the fab4 flicks, am looking forward to them finally being given the proper Marvel treatment though.
Ron Pearlman was the face of Hellboy, they both goes great together. For Independance Day, Brent Spiner was the only one worth seeing in the movie, his character was way cool!
I adore Brent Spiner but his character was the most cliched thing in that movie! They had a great actor and did the most shite job!
I remember going to the pictures watching Tron, me and my brother loved it, it was different. In fact he called one of his children Flynn!
I really liked the Chris Evans Fantastic Four. Loved both of them, tbh.
they were objectively bad but, glad you found some joy out of them!
6:50 how does it feel to call yourself Looper without a single glimpse of future ..😂😂😂
Where is Michael Keaton’s batman directed by Tim burton why did we not get a third
Keaton and Burton both wanted a darker more serious tone. And the studio wanted a kids film.
+pensfan 7187
Ironically, Joel Schumacher wanted Forever (even though it was not the originally planned Batman 3) to be potentially darker than what the final product ended up being.
Upset that I didn't see a mention of the Kick-Ass or TMNT franchises. Really wanted those third movies.
Pouring one out for Fincher's Dragon Tattoo trilogy.
Argh so true. Wish Fincher and co came back. Girl In The Spider's Web was a dud.
There's the original Swedish film trilogy.
Karl Pfeiffer the first movie was great, I haven’t seen the original Swedish movies
I have never understood why John Carter was trashed. That movie was entertaining and visually stunning.
I still want Battleship 2.
I love how everyone is complaining about how "that's not Snyder's JL". As if his previous work indicates that JL would've been good had he finished it.
I dont know WTF they did to John Carter but its my biggest surprise in years. It was WAAAY better than I thought it would be.
Failed marketing my guess. Loved that movie.
You know prometheus and covenant definitely had flaws but i really liked them and was genuinely upset no 3rd...the only alien movie i didnt like was part 2 cause of the annoying insect NEWT
Newt's not an insect. She's an amphibian.
7:41 why was that rock so short in the fantastic four😂😂
Vampire chronicles.
Interview with the vampire etc
AMC just purchased those rights. It's all being turned into a show with Rice producing.
The lack of a Hellboy 3 with Ron Pearlman and co. was an absolute crime!
Ridley will indeed get a 3rd movie. No chance Disney turns him down
Especially that he’s supposedly doing a Merlin movie or something for Disney
@Jerrol Hale absolutely! 🤣
@@fernandorosales599 I think that's why we havent heard anything new, Ridley was supposedly working on Merlin before Awakening
I read the John carter books, but since I live under a rock, I didn't know they made a movie. I'm going on Disney Plus right now and watch it.
It wasn't zack's version of the justice league we got it was Josh's versions
It was a combination of Joss’s vision and Zack’s vision. You can’t really say it was entirely either one’s since Joss stepped in after the script and shooting were mostly finished. And while sure he made a lot of changes had he been completely in charge from the beginning the story and movie would have been different to what was released
@@TheJjcczz Still Joss' version in the end with all the reshoots and changes he made
Ashwel Mudadi You can’t say it’s his version when he wasn’t given control. He was brought in after the fact and given a list of specific changes that the producers wanted made, they wouldn’t even allow him to keep the personal changes he made. They literally took his opening and changed it after the fact. To say it Joss’s version is just inaccurate. If anything it should be called the studio’s version because at least that’s accurate
That doens't mean his version would've end up being better then the final cut. So let it go. The issue here is that WB rushed this team up movie.
TheJjcczz I agree with you, the studio screwed up
John Carter was and still is a fantastic movie. I've never understood the hate for it.
So upset John Carter wasn’t continued... Personally, I loved the movie. To me it harks back to classic fantasy movies of the 80s... Anyone knows if the franchise will be revitalized?
Tron was sick! I really want a second movie on that
I actually thought David Harbour did well as Hellboy, but a poor director and editing really hurt the film.
As for Tron Legacy, a seriously underated film. Fantastic imagery and a phenominal soundtrack.
I loved Tron Legacy. Amazing film.
Brandon Lee's the crow
6:40 it was not Synder's Justice League...
We need another Percy Jackson movie man 💯💯
It’s getting a TV series.
Disney+ is making a series for Percy Jackson. They really screwed the movies up. Im glad they stopped
@@KingdomHeartsFan91 dang!and also at Disney+!
SpiralDestiny91 hopefully it’s good
Bryan Cassandra they could’ve been waaaay better than what they were but if they made a 3rd one it had to be good because the the third book was great to read
John carter was amazing. They built a movie while being able to build on the books. They combined it very well.
